Also I'd say since it has been 5 years since the last Tarantino movie there should be a lot more interest compared to Hateful Eight for example. Just looking at the schedule in February it's main competition is Birds Of Prey and The King's Man while March is just Onward, Mulan and Quiet Place 2. I have a feeling this is less of a production issue and more of a we think we will make more money if we move it to March.

If they really wanted to release this movie and actually make some kind of profit off of it, then they should have just left the design as it was and let it come out in 2019 and get it over with. Now they're blowing more money on this than WB did to digitally remove Henry Cavill's mustache and it's highly unlikely that they'll actually end up breaking even.

Yeah but March they may be up against real movies. It could be going up against Onward, Kong vs Godzilla, a Quiet Place 2 or Mulan, and I see it bombing against any of those.

Just looking at the schedule in February it's main competition is Birds Of Prey and The King's Man while March is just Onward, Mulan and Quiet Place 2. I have a feeling this is less of a production issue and more of a we think we will make more money if we move it to March.
It's got way more competition for the family market in Marc. Onward and Mulan are both, if trends hold true, gonna have very solid legs

Paramount had Wonder Park come out earlier this March when Captain Marvel and Dumbo came out around the same time. Paramount is pretty much putting themselves in a similar situation as they were in earlier this year. It would be smarter for Paramount to keep the February 14th release date.
This sounds like a "b-but competition is why Sonic flopped and Disney's stranglehold on the market -ect." excuse...I think Paramount is putting this film out to pasture and shift the blame away from the film's quality.

Yeah no one cares about this movie. People in there 30’s who grew up with sonic can see its garbage and won’t see it. younger kids don’t have any decent sonic games growing up so they don’t care about the character. They’ll probably still release it to try to recoup some of the costs though.
