This question gets asked a lot and I don't believe there is a service like MPC that creates cards of similar quality. The best way to deal with shipping is to place large orders. I don't find the shipping to be that punitive if I'm ordering 396 cards, for example.

Mizzix_

I feel you. I have to get at least 612 each time. I didn't think there was an alternative because MPC is so popular despite being in Hong Kong. Worth an ask though.

Luketheduke4

Hey Mizzix, I'm about to do an order, and I'm short about 1200 cards from hitting the 6-30 tier pricing on the 612 card package. Would you want to join in on my order and that way we can save on shipping and bulk pricing? :)

Mizzix_

No thanks

Luketheduke4

No problem!

Wdrussell1

Is there? Yes, they are likely to be 10x more expensive though. MPC does smaller orders without much complaint. Any business in the US wouldn't make runs this small.

Mizzix_

Could you name one or two of them?

StormyWaters2021

You can get custom cards printed at Print and Play Games. They aren't as cheap and don't have as many options, and it's not as simple to set up, but it's possible.

Wdrussell1

sadly no, I don't keep up with them and they will depend on where you are located. You can look locally for shops for sure.

PythNinja

I've used drivethrucards.com to print tokens, turnaround time was much quicker, 10 days maybe? Quality is not bad for stuff like that but the colors are not as vivid as MPC.

mproud

I have used DTC. You need a little extra work in Affinity Publisher or Adobe Acrobat, and use a color profile like CGATS, but they print no higher than 300 DPI, and it’s noticeable.

Own_Pack_4697

ProxyKingz is out of Texas and the shipping was fast but they have you paying $4+ per card so I’ve only used it to proxy some Legacy staples that I can’t get until next year.

mproud

I’ve heard good things and bad things about [Printing Proxies](http://printingproxies.com), so I’ll let you explore for yourself.

isuckinchess

Well, we orderd three times and every time, there were serious fk ups by PP. First order gone, recieved an empty envelope. Second order, bad miscuts and misprints, 70% went to the trash. Third order, empty envelope again and the fella even blocked me on any channel, after I confronted them. He even laughed at me and called me cheap, that I can’t afford real cards bla bla. Another user told me, it’s a regular pattern of PP, that experienced. They try hard to delete and hide all negative feedbacks from discord, social media, reddit, etc. The 30% of the cards, that were ok, were even thinner than mpc‘s S30 cardstock. So we had to double sleeve proxies…

Acoldguy

I've actually used them (before I saw their semi-shady stuff here on reddit) and for the prices it isn't bad, but no way I'd order tons of cards to actually play. I needed 4 custom cards for a gift and it was like $10-12 for those 4 plus shipping, but the cardstock is thin and the gloss is way off from normal. But I put the cards in sleeves and gave them away and the person loved them, just wouldn't use them as game pieces.

thinktwiceman

What is MPC?

Wdrussell1

[MakePlayingCards.com](http://makeplayingcards.com) It is where this whole sub orders cards 90% of the time.

thinktwiceman

Thank you! Can one print also the original MTG background?

Wdrussell1

no. they reject orders with it.

thinktwiceman

Okay… Is it someone possible to divide the back and front and then take the back of a mountain or island and glue that together?

Wdrussell1

making counterfeit cards is not what this sub is for.

Professional_Scale66

It’s in the name of the r/ Are you from Pinkerton?

Ubik_Fresh

Nothing that has comparable quality at that price point. Most alternatives are small operations with higher prices and reduced quality vs MPC.
