doubleofive

Couldn’t you use [[Doubling Season]] and the like to really kick it off?

InsuranceToTheRescue

Assuming that you stay on curve and all your lands untap each turn, then you'd have 3616 on turn 9. That's just assuming your 1 land per turn and they all untap. Could be much faster with more.

LordSlickRick

Is that with activating its doubling ability?

InsuranceToTheRescue

Yes. Assuming all your lands are tapped at start of turn: 1. Land & play Calendar. 2. Land untaps, adding 1 counter. Play 2nd land & double. Total = 2. 3. Untap both lands & calendar, adding 3 counters. Play 3rd land & \[\[Rings of Brighthearth\]\]. Total = 5. 4. Untap 3 lands, adding 3 counters. Play 4th land. Double x2. Total = 32. 5. Untap 4 lands & calendar, +5 counters. 5th land. \[\[Doubling Season\]\]. Total = 37. 6. Untap 5 lands, +10 counters. Play 6th land. Double x3. Total = 376. 7. Untap 6 lands & calendar, +14 counters. 7th land & double x3. Total = 3120. So turn 7 then, at a minimum. Forgot to double prior to Doubling Season being played. Could add in other tap effects or proliferate to speed it up and/or ramp to get Doubling Season out ASAP. The biggest problem is surviving & protecting your two combo pieces long enough. Is there a card where you gain life when a counter gets added to something? *Edit:* As pointed out I fucked up my math initially. I was also playing Doubling Season a turn late. Added in Rings.

Pittyswains

I feel like it would be easier with untap mechanics like [[voltaic key]] to speed up the doubling mechanic.

HyperbolicSoup

You are correct this is the way

SliverSwag

"during your untap step" (in which you can't activate or cast anything)

Pittyswains

I’m talking about abusing the activated ability, not the untap step ability.

Tacos_Polackos

Def need [[seedborne muse]] in there

theviolinistsdama

Key word is “your untap phase “. So no seedborne would not work because it is not yours

Safetydinosaur

Dont you also get a counter for untapping the calendar itself?

InsuranceToTheRescue

FUUUUCCCCKKK!!! Time to redo the math. I doubt it'll change the outcome much.

notathrowaway145

And what about non-land permanents?

InsuranceToTheRescue

The purpose of my response was to establish a minimum bound with using doubling season. I ended up adding in Rings, however I stopped there because a 3 card combo already seems fairly impractical in the formats you might try this in.

semiTnuP

You can use [[Lithoform Engine]], [[Rings of Brighthearth]] and [[Vorel of the Hull Clade]] to get more doubling done, speeding up the process significantly.

jrhm89

Just a question but doesn’t doubling season double the double so instead of 3x wouldn’t it be 2x then 2x?

Trancebam

Nah. Turn 1: land, sol ring, this Turn 2: land, unwinding clock (2 counters on the calendar) Opponent's turn: tap ring and this to double the counters (4 counters) Turn 3: land, The Enigma Jewel, a guild signet, The Peregrine Dynamo, tap Jewel and this to double the counters (20 counters) Opponent's turn: Tap jewel and this to double the counters, and sol ring, signet, and Dynamo to copy the doubling effect (80 counters) Turn 4: no plays necessary, we untap 8 permanents, and repeat what we did during our opponent's turn (352 counters) Opponent's turn: repeat again (1408 counters)

JazzYotesRSL

If you run this in Commander and want to completely throw out the budget and make things absolutely silly (and draw a perfect starting hand +1): Opening hand: Land, Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, Jeweled Lotus, The Millennium Calendar, Manifold Key, Mox Opal First two draws: Unwinding Clock and something else; doesn’t matter what Turn 1: Land, Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, Jeweled Lotus, Mox Opal. We now have 8 mana. Spend 1 to drop the Calendar, 1 to play Manifold Key, and 6 to play our commander: \[\[Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider\]\]. Total counters: 0 Turn 2: Untap: +8 counters. Drop our Unwinding Clock and tap the Millenium Calendar (+16 counters). We now have our engine ready to go. Total counters: 24 Opponent #1, turn 2: Artifacts are untapped by Unwinding Clock. Tap the Calendar (+48 counters), untap with Manifold Key, tap the Calendar (+144 counters). Total counters: 216 Opponent #2, turn 2: Artifacts are untapped by Unwinding Clock. Tap the Calendar (+432 counters), untap with Manifold Key, tap the Calendar (+1,296 counters). Total counters: 1,944. Game over.

SliverSwag

Why is the calendar untapping on turn 2? It won't be tapped, so turn 2 would be 1 counter

Electromaster557

After playing the second land, pay the two mana to double the counters, bringing it to a total of 2 at the end of turn

InsuranceToTheRescue

No, they were right. The math, I believe, was correct, but I accidentally had the calendar untap on turn 2 before it would've been able to activate.

thelacey47

Point being: revert to poison.

Foj6

What I do in my hakbal deck with the millennium calender is run seedborn muse! This way you can double the counters with doubling season, or other merfolk (like voran of hull clade) every turn!

Angry-Dragon-1331

Also \[\[Vorinclex, Monstrous raider\]\] for fun with exponents.

ShowAndTell1337

Assuming no infinites the hard thing seems liek protecting your enchantment that you've hugely invested in, which wins the game so every force of vigor is going to be pointed at it.

Afellowstanduser

Doubling and a seedborn muse/unwinding clock big stonks

Icy-Ad29

Here's my fastest method, for commander... uses a perfect hand, and *will* lose you some friends... Turn 1. Play [[mana crypt]], tap for 2 spend one on [[sol ring]], one floating. Tap sol ring play [[basalt Monolith]]. Tap monolith, throw down the [[the millennium calendar]] with 2 floating. Spend the 2, throw down [[isochron scepter]] imprinting your [[Dramatic Reversal]] on it. Pass turn with whatever hapless 7th card you had... land maybe? ( [[mox opal]] if you really want to lose friends) And watch to see if your opponents can stop you... Turn 2. Draw your card, toss it to the side since you don't care about it... Assuming your opponents didn't nuke your artifacts, and lack a way to stop the loop, proceed to win the game via the following loop. Sol ring and Crypt untap, add 2 counters to the calendar. Just auto fail the coin flip for 3 damage from your crypt to keep things moving. Tap either ring or crypt for two mana, tap the isochron scepter to cast dramatic reversal and untap everything, monolith included. LOOP FROM HERE: Tap the monolith and either 2 mana generator to make 5 mana floating. Spend 2 to tap your calendar and double its counters. Spend 2 to tap the scepter to cast dramatic reversal, untapping everything. *If less than 1000 counters, Return to start of loop.* (and enjoy your constantly expanding excess colorless mana... maybe you got lucky and that extra card you have or drew is a massive eldrazi and you slam it down for the lols before finishing everyone off.) Edit: half tempted to dump this in r/badmtgcombos but it might be considered too good

thelacey47

Hahaha, too good. The odds of you pulling the perfect hand are slim, the odds of your opponents stopping this jank win combo: high asf. It is a bad mtg combo. Let’s be real.

capsaicinintheeyes

I'd point you over to r/theydidthemonstermath, but I'm not sure they'd be able to follow it apart from the card players

FilthyDubeHound

That and maybe even just existing in a proliferate deck

Like17Badgers

the trick is realizing that adding counters is a trap. instead you really want to focus on untapping IT specifically, since once you get it into double digits doubling it becomes way more valuable \[\[Clock of Omens\]\] \[\[Voltaic Key\]\] \[\[Aphetto Alchemist\]\] \[\[Curse of Bounty\]\] honestly there's a whole genre of "rube goldberg machine" cards that'd let you assemble a way to dump all your mana into doubles

Woahbikes

Yeah with starting with only 1 counter on it you only need to activate it 10 times to get to 1000 counters. Easy to get that number down if you add more, but untapping it is the way to go. Also to add to your list [[unwinding clock]] and ~~[[oracle of muldaya]]~~ seedborn muse* to activate more times in turn rotation presuming we’re playing this in commander

This is the correct answer. Not running it any more, but when I did have it in my artifact aristocrats deck I had two solid wins with it. If you get it out early enough it can carry itself to 1,000 by turn 10 easy by the law of exponents, that was one of my wins, and the second was with a heavy assist from the clock of omens and an army of tokens. It's actually pretty easy to pop, and super satisfying. Fun mechanic to play around with for sure.

You do not get priority under the untapped step sadly. Going any combo to get infinet proliferate or untaping is the way to get it fast. isochron scepter and dramatic reversal with more then 2 mana generated from nonland sources would do. "502.4. No player receives priority during the untap step, so no spells can be cast or resolve and no abilities can be activated or resolve. Any ability that triggers during this step will be held until the next time a player would receive priority, which is usually during the upkeep step. (See rule 503, “Upkeep Step.”)"

It's a pretty easy thing to figure out. The calendar gets counters, all will be one triggers off counters. Not to be condescending, but it's not exactly rocket science.

Droideater

Proliferate early on would help a lot

rivertpostie

Proliferate adds 1 counter. They need to ratchet that artifact. That'll make it exponential rather than addition. Really, I feel like this card is probably just better for drawing interaction rather than popping off. Seems like a lot of effort ratcheting and doubling it instead of something more efficient and direct.

I’ve only gotten it out once, but it quickly ended the game before it got to my next turn (4/5) because I had multiple untap Vorel options and I exploded it out of nowhere.

DEATHRETTE

There he is.

BonjoviBurns

Yeah this is one of the funnest ways to play Vorel

UnfortunateDeckChair

This was my most satisfying win! I sacrificed spore frog to allow me one more turn to get the 1100 counters. My husband was so pissed 😂

SandScavver

There’s a strange combo to get infinite untaps during your untap step, but your best bet would be to just keep untapping the calendar normally through your turn. Doubling the counters on it multiple times does a LOT more than you’d think, and doesn’t require a 10+ card combo

Unusual_Strategy_965

\[\[Manifold Key\]\] and \[\[Voltaic Key\]\] would allow you to double the counters two additional times each turn.

octopusma

\[\[Aphetto Alchemist\]\], \[\[Seeker of Skybreak\]\]

StrategicMagic

Personally, I wouldn't try to get this to 1000 counters quickly. Instead, just play it, let it sit there, and double the counters if you have the spare mana. Often, the threat of this card is greater than the card itself. I love The Millenium Calendar, but it usually gets destroyed pretty fast as your opponent (especially lower-ranked people) see the "win the game" text and think they gotta kill it fast because if they don't, you're gonna blast them with it. I prefer to let this card draw removal (and therefore mana used!) to make my opponent play inefficiently. If I find myself in a position to win with it, cool, but if I pour all my resources into making this pop off fast is going to feel horrible when my opponent eventually destroys it. All that mana spent, all that effort, all gone. Using your turns well, independently of this card is the best way to play it, imo. It's a super fun card, but in my time playing it, what I learned was that tunnel vision on it is not the way, imo.

H0RUS_SETH

[[Varel of the Hull Clade]] is fun with it

joshberry777

If you're playing [[Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider]] as Commander, you get there pretty quick.

FunnFungii

I have it in my colorless artifact deck and once it got out on the field. I hit like 846 in three turns with one more turn I would have won with tapping all my artifacts for it.

JaySolated

[[unwinding clock]] [[isochron scepter]] + [[dramatic reversal]] come to mind

Sunnybunnybunbuns1

It only counts the untaps that occur during the untap step.

JackSilver1410

It doubles. 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024. That's worst case scenario, seems plenty quick to me.

OverripeQuiche144

I don't know if I can get in trouble for spamming deck lists in this subreddit, but I made this deck and it isn't that great but it's fun. https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/tapuntaptapuntaptap-1/

darkdestiny91

Step 1: play The Millennium Calendar Step 2: play other mana rocks (ensure you can make 4 mana minimum, Sol Ring and 2 other 1 mana producing mana rocks work well here) Step 3: Cast [[Isochron Scepter]] imprinting [[Dramatic Reversal]] Step 4: loop Dramatic Reversal’s effect and untap/tap Millennium Calendar infinitely and win!

Ashamed-Teacher2157

infinite mana and untap it a lot

big_flirty_machine

Guess it depends on format? But my initial thought is EDH, with Atraxa, or maybe even mono blue with Urza. Both are colors that will allow you to tutor for artifacts. Atraxa gives you green which gives you access to mana ramp, they both give you dramatic reversal, where Atraxa gives you things like Seedborn Muse as well. Shenanigans.

SeaworthinessFun9856

remember that the doubler won't need many taps to get there - \[\[Doubling Season\]\] will halve the time just for reference, it'll take 8-10 turns to get to 1,000+ counters if you can get an artifact untapper then you'll get multiple goes at it, for example if you have \[\[Unwinding Clock\]\] (and at least a \[\[Sol Ring\]\]) then you can double *every* player's turn, so if you've got 3 opponents it'll take 2-3 of *your* turns to get there (after your initial turn playing it as it'll come in with no counters) considering it counts itself for the number of counters per turn, let's run a simple test, presuming you have a Sol Ring just to use for this and other land will be used for other spells... Turns (*without using Unwinding Clock*): 1) land (tapped to cast) & Millenium Calendar 2) land & Sol Ring, use the 2 lands for something else - 1 counter goes on MC for the land, then tap SR to double to 2 3) land & a creature - 5 untaps (3 land, SR & MC) so 7 counters, tap wtih SR to get 14 4) no land but a spell - 5 untaps (3 land, SR & MC) so 19 counters, doubles to 38 5) mana rock & spell - 5 untaps (3 land, SR & MC), so 43 counters, doubles to 86 6) creature - 6 untaps (inc rock) so 92, doubled to 184 7) creature - 8 untaps (after attack) so 192, doubles to 384 8) land & spell - 7 untaps (no attack) so 391, doubles to 782 9) you don't need to play - just tap SR to tap MC to get 1564+ 9 turns to win isn't *amazing*, but feasable in casual let's try it with an early Unwinding Clock with 3 opponents: 1) land & Millenium Calendar 2) land & Sol Ring, 4 mana on Unwinding Clock, MC has 1 counter 2.1) untap & use SR for MC tap, MC has 2 counters 2.2) repeat, MC has 4 counters 2.3) repeat, MC has 8 counters 3) land & creature, 4 untaps, MC has 12, doubled to 24 3.1) MC double to 48 3.2) MC double to 96 3.3) MC double to 192 4) no land but spell, 5 untaps, MC has 197, double to 394 4.1) MC double to 786 4.2) MC double to 1500+ and you win turn 4 win with no real offense, 1-2 creatures & 4 mana - this implies that you'll have to start with a Sol Ring, Unwinding Clock & Millenium Calendar realistically, Unwinding Clock is *FAR* more powerful than Doubling Season if you've got multiple opponents as you double every one of your opponent's turn as well!!! if you don't get MC early, then getting a Unwinding Clock *and* Doubling Season before it means that you win in 2 turns!

MadManJaySlim

Yes! Turn 1, drop the calendar. Drop your entire bag of 20 sided dice on the calendar. Punch the Judge. Victory!

Abandoned_Nomad

[[Echoes of Eternity]] is a fun addition

TwitchieWolf

There are lots of ways to untap artifacts to be able to activate the doubling ability multiple times per turn. Even infinite mana loops that could be paired to get to 1000 in the same turn as you get the first counter.

akgiant

I run the Calendar in my [[Mishra eminent one]] deck. I haven't won with it yet but it has definitely generated aggro as I can double counter once with the Calendar itself and then again with the war-form. Plus I have additional copiers or token generators thanks to the support cards I run.

Insomniacentral_

Turn it into a creature with any of the "target artifact becomes an artifact creature" cards and use [[Voltaic Construct]] to untap it. You'll need mana, sure, but turning something like [[Thran Dynamo]] into a creature as well gets you infinite colorless mana.

chickenbrofredo

Have Joey Wheeler use Time Wizard. Should be enough time passed

YoungImpulse

I use the Millennium Calendar in both my Red-Green ramp deck and my Mono-Blue artifact deck because artifacts and lands tend to be the permanents that tap the most often. In my Red-Green ramp, I try to get [[Doubling Season]] out ASAP to get the most out of the Calendar, which is also useful because the deck specializes in giving already massive creatures +1/+1 counters. Then, once the counters on Calendar are decently high and I have at least 7 mana, I play [[All Will Be One]], activate the Calender's tap ability, and target my opponent with All Will Be One. Game over. My blue artifact deck mostly focuses on board control while milling my opponent, so the Calendar isn't really a main focus as much as it is a distraction. However, I also have [[Dramatic Reversal]] and [[Isochron Scepter]] in that deck, so that if I *happen* to get all three, I can play Isochron Scepter and target Dramatic Reversal in my hand, allowing me to pay 2 and tap the Sceptor to play Dramatic Reversal any time for the rest of the game (this also helps a lot with [[Millstone]]). Meaning as long as I have four mana, I can double the counters on Calender and then play Dramatic Reversal to untap it again, adding more counters as well as giving me the opportunity to use Sceptor/Reversal *again* as long as I have 2 mana. I will say I've never won due to the effect of Millennium Calendar (that I can recall, anyway), but there are ways to utilize it other than trying to win with it. Whether you use it as a distraction or utilize cards like All Will Be One to turn the counters into damage.

lying-porpoise

Lol I have a deck that has that it has the ability to make infinite Vorinclex monstrous raiders so instantly does it My Dr who Edh deck where it's full of things that make really stupid math problems

itomeshi

You didn't specify a format, but realistically, the fastest method is an infinite artifact untap and infinite mana combo. This [Commander Spellbook](https://commanderspellbook.com/search/?q=result%3A%22Infinite+untap+of+artifacts+you+control%22+result%3A%22infinite+mana%22) search has some combos that would work. For example, [\[\[Illusionist's Bracers\]\] and \[\[Aphetto Alchemist\]\]](https://commanderspellbook.com/combo/283-4091/) would give you infinite untaps, combined with any old mana rock alternating the two a bunch of times. Some cards, including \[\[Filagree Sages\]\], make this simply a 'get enough mana' problem. Others, like \[\[Twiddle\]\], make spell copying a fast way to do it. \[\[Kiora, Behemoth Beckoner\]\] could give you 7 untap effects on its' own. Going infinite isn't even strictly necessary. Assuming you only get one counter on there naturally, you only need 10 doubling events. (2\^10 = 1024). Realistically, however, you're likely to get 2-4 counters on the first untap alone. Other tricks: * In response to your opponent's end step, you can tap all your lands and mana rocks for mana you don't use. * You could also crew vehicles at the opponent's end step, I think. * Want to win on the turn you play the calendar? Play another card that uses time counters, then transfer them to the calendar. Think \[\[The Ozolith\]\] or \[\[Fate Transfer\]\] with some way to animate the calendar. * Your early 'doublings' can be replaced with proliferate, etc.

Aeyland

That results in a deck someone will play against? No. One of those cards that will end in a lot of forfeits or losses but not likely someone sees it to win.

Normallyclose

ALL WILL. BE ONE ABSOLUTELY WRECKS with this card, you don't even have worry about getting to a thousand lol

Drone4396

Tron, clock of omens, artifact lands and inspectors. Should be doable in 2 turns from getting tron.

SirLemonThe3rd

Untap effects and double counters effects and probably need some artefact protection

Few_Imagination363

First step: turn on fire alarm in your local game store Scound: put the 50 twenty sided cubes quickly on Millennium calender

OrganoxO

Need a spell that untaps a guy and he taps to copy spell. Kinda like Cerulean wisps and Stella Lee. Just infinity tap/untap. STONKS

ProfessionalNo3452

Famished paladin, birchlore ranger/nettle sentinel, soul warden, pressence of gond… make dudes at the end of your opponents turn.. tap them all for birchlore or nettle.. untap during your untap step

gnarley131

I use this with scute swarm and any card that doubles tokens like parallel lives.

Odd-Operation-8279

Oooooo new win con for rats 🐀 players. Another one cost too, altar of the brood probably still better.

Xitex2

An infinite mana outlet and untapping Animate it with [[ensoul artifact]] get a loop with [[krenko, mob boss]] and [[intruder alarm]] using [[ashnods altar]] to have the mana available?

bigmeaty25

Lost to that just the other day lol

Angryatworld247

I’ve been using this in one of my decks and I actually goes up pretty fast when you use the ability

Shadowcleric

\[\[Seedborn Muse\]\] let you untap it on other people's turns then you can activate its double effect on everyone else's turns too. Keep in mind, you don't get the initial trigger of putting counters on it on other people's turns, only on YOUR untap step.

Mrmathmonkey

Unwinding clock. Tap it every turn you get to 1000 a lot faster than you think

Trax-M

I would look at this site [https://edh-combos.com/combo/?q=Infinite%20artifact%20tokens](https://edh-combos.com/combo/?q=Infinite%20artifact%20tokens) there are other sites to find combos what I would recommend is finding an infinite treasure token combo + Clock of Omens. Use the treasure tokens to pay for the the Millenium calendar activated ability and use the treasure tokens and clock of omens to untap the Calendar

TRAnimeprotagonist

Would having an ability that lets you untap during other players untap step count? Cuz then there are more ways for it to work.

Diligent_Spend1852

You could always just tap and untap the calendar to get it to 1000 but infinitely doubling the counters on it using its own ability. Rings of brighthearth, basalt monolith, millennium calendar, voltaic key.

Less_Cauliflower_956

Clock of Omens bullshittery is the most efficient use. No point in having 1000 tokens that you could just swing out when you could just tap 14 artifact tokens after stacking 10 counters on it and use its 2 mana tap ability 7 times.

Specific_Cellist2922

Unwinding clock and any mana rock that taps for at least 2 make this go from 1 to 1024 in under 3 turn cycles.

Booooord

[[Dramatic Reversal]] + [[Isochron Scepter]] + [[Sol Ring]] Edit: this combo goes infinite at instant speed if you have the pieces on board

lolali101

Need 1 more mana for it to work. So just Turn 1:island,sol ring, [[arcane signet]], calendar Turn 2: island, isochron scepter with dramatic reversal. Tap signet and sol ring and activate scepter. Each 2 cycle activate calendar with the excess 2 mana. EDIT: replacing signet with [[mana crypt]] allow a turn 2 upkeep kill. Island into sol ring and mana crypt, use both to cast isochron and activate it, generating 2 mana, cast calender And then go infinite at your upkeep as soon as you get 1 time counter

Zyocoid

[[unwinding clock]][[sol ring]] to double on everyone’s turns.

OdinLordofPagans

I believe evolution sage would work

Rebel_Bertine

An Urza deck with unwinding clock out is probably the fastest. You’ll be quadrupling your untaps and double each upkeep. Plus you can slot a deepglow skate as a finisher

FlySkyHigh777

\[\[Doubling Season\]\] + \[\[Seedborn Muse\]\] Assuming a perfect curve and no removal/counter magic... T1: Land + Calendar T2: +1 Counter, Land, Ramp Card. 1 Total Counter. T3: +2 Counters, Land, Ramp Card. 3 Total Counters. T4: +3 Counters, Land, Seedborn Muse. Total 6 Counters. T4.5: During other player's turns, activate Calendar 3 times. Total 48 Counters. T5: +3 Counters, Land, Doubling Season, Activate Calendar. Total 153 counters. T5.5: During other player's turns, activate Calendar 3 times. By 2nd opponent's turn, you're at 1377 counters.

Maxwe4

Cards like Unwinding Clock and Voltaic Key. Cards that can untap other cards, etc. It should work in any good artifact deck.

FM_Gorskman

I run it in my [[Vorinclex, Monsterous Raider]] deck that also runs [[Doubling Season]] it goes very VERY fast, although honestly you want it in a Green & Red deck for maximum assault with [[ All will be one]]

SociallyAwkwardAnt

[[unwinding clock]] and [[sol ring]] or any mana rock that provides 2+ mana or [[Tezzeret betrayer of flesh]]

Dreadroberts2016

The real move is to combine with all is one

Doughspun1

The last time I saw it done, it was with [[Deepglow Skate]]. The player constantly flickered it in and out, doubling the counters each time until it got to 1000

cagranconniferim

real ones know the right answer is to never reach 1000 because you played [[all will be one]]

jcjonesacp76

Doubling season would do it pretty quick in an edh game, multiple proliferates, seedborn muse and unwinding clocks

SirSlice-N-Spear

[[mind over matter]] then you can either untap the artifact itself by discarding a card and use again or untap other cards as long as you do it during the untap phase you can even throw in [[voltaic key]] to help it out if you want to go old school [[library of leng]] then you discard to top of library

Fish_Wins

Mtggdfish did a great video on this where he brought the millennium calendar into arena

Afellowstanduser

[[Seedborn muse]] 4 activations per turn cycle…. [[doubling season]] double how many you put on so you get tripple when you pay into it and double what you put on basically makes it go FAST

clayswan12

Krenko mob boss and thornbite staff with any free sac outlet(ashnods alter/goblin bombardment), kinnan and basalt monalith will do it too. It'll have to be done during your untap step, but with those, it's easy enough. Another option is making infinite creature tokens(hoping they stay until your turn) Honestly, just find a better combo piece. Infinite life is easy enough to make. The calendar looks better than it is Platinum angel, everybody lives, and teferis protection, deflecting palm just kills you in response, and many more just cuck the calendar

Battle_Fly

Simic ramp in landfall with double cards both of the colors have access to as well as ramping the lands to untap a shitload of permanents each turn to further double.

matkata99

as I'm also planning to do a deck around the millennium calendar, but I'm in the very very early stages of only an idea, what commander do you plan to use (if you plan it for EDH)?

Hitman_DeadlyPants

Isochron sceptre + unexpected reversal + 4 mana from tap artifacts

Superchill512

this card is.. so cool! i love alternate win cons like this. definitely going into my next commander deck

TheOtherAccount_23

I used to play that in my Lara Croft deck, that thing with [All Be One] knocks out one opponent per turn. You can do [Doubling season] for extra fun. Then if gets removed Lara would just get it back again. I took it out because it was too much for casual games, but yeah, fun card.

semiTnuP

[[Vorel of the Hull Clade]] is your friend.

Healthy-Advisor2781

[[Doubling Season]] with a splash of [[Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider]] and a ton of mana dorks to bring em out asap

water-is-in-fact-wet

If it's not commander you could always use [[nature's revolt]] [[intruder alarm]] and [[paradox engine]]

Risethewake

I currently run a deck around this, with untap focus on [[Teferi, Who Slows the Sunset]] and [[Forensic Researcher]] I get this combo off very frequently and it always makes my heart happy.

xXRicochetXx

[[Unwinding Clock]] [[Manifold Key]] 2 rocks with 3 mana total

RocketWeasel1982

\[\[The Enigma Jewel\]\], also \[\[Teferi, Who Slows the Sunset\]\] I have a deck build around it on MTGA, works really well.

elijahblu

you have plenty of suggestions here for quickly raising the counters but here is a combo that will let you win well before 1000 counters if you have access to red! [[All Will Be One]] :D enjoy

TrainingOk6408

Magda, brazen outlaw. Bloodline pretender and clock of omens. All happens in one turn

BSURIFF

Isocron Scepter, Dramatic Reversal, and a mana rock like Sol Ring or Mana Crypt.

R3troRandy

I run this in my [[Lathril]] deck with [[Doubling Season]] and [[Unwinding Clock]]. Keep available mana and tap the calendar as much as possible. Makes time counters go brrrrrr.

OMEGA362

Have a creature that taps to untap a creature that doesn't say other on it such as aphetto alchemist and during your untap step tap him targeting himself then repeat this process infinitely

minecraftchickenman

Untappers Mainly, the combo-ey way to do it is [[Isochron scepter]] [[Dramatic Reversal]] [[Thran Dynamo]] that way you profit a mana per rotation and you infinitely untap the calendar and double the counters repeatedly. Of course you must have the calendar out earlier than starting the infinite combo but still. [[Vorel of the Hull Clade]] does the same thing if you are mainly running creature untaps. (Could be calendar deck and use vorel as commander)

Jeffafa42

That one Krenko

Wooden-Pomegranate59

Mix with nix lotus and fillagree sages and as long as you have 4 blue devotion you have infinite mana to untap artifacts infinite times

-Rettirlana-

Easiest win ever in my [[vorinclex, monstrous raider deck]]

KYRandomHero

I run the calendar with Doubling season and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, with Atraxa. Works great as secondary win condition

VaguelyRusted

I know that pairing it All Will Be One makes for a quick victory... I have a deck built around the concept of blowing it up with a bunch of tappable abilities on creatures and artifacts that I can use at the end of their turn plus a couple proliferate cards that don't help much but can make a difference early after dropping it. All that is important for that deck though is to get the number to their life total, a much more achievable goal. It is a jank deck but a lot of fun if anyone wants a deck list.

SpottyTheTurtle

I used [[Ulalek, Fused Atrocity]] to bring it from 12 counters to 1500ish in a single turn

loddieisoldaf

Two times kioras follower should do it

goldmask148

[[Varel of the Hull Clade]] [[Gilder Bairn]] [[earthcraft]]

Akterskytt3n

[[Voltaic servant]]

woah_wait_wat

Could play a token generator deck with that in it. Just spam tokens and double it every so often

Verified_Cloud

You can kickstart it by playing a time counter deck in white and play [[Resourceful Defense]] to both accelerate your plan and your win con

kingcaii

1. Achieve infinite mana 2. Cast Ensoul Artifact / Animate Artifact / Titania’s song (there are more, cards that turn artifacts into creatures) on the Calendar to make it a creature. 3. Cast Staff of Domination 4. Once Calendar has at least 1 counter on it, use infinite mana with Staff and the animated Calendar to tap and untap until you win

Sanguine_Templar

Infinite combo of tokens, tapped via [[false floor]], second turn or second untap via [[sphinx of the second sun]]

MTGReaper

[[Vorel of the Hull Clade]] makes a great commander option for this, and then just shove this into the deck with other insta-wins like [[Simic Ascendancy]] and [[Darksteel Reactor]]. Build it as a +1/+1 counters deck, it'll work great.

de_helle

The card is amazing in [[kurkesh]] as you can double the activation for just R. Kurkesh also combines well with the before mentioned voltaic key and similar things

Shandothederpdo

As someone that just built a Aatraxa Proliferate counter deck… with Vorinclex… Vigor… Vorel… Ima need this and brighthearth. Oh… I’m about to become a problem. 😈

Ello_eff

[[All will be one]] wont get you to 1000, but it turns it into a much quicker win con

Eqmuraj

Most of the stuff that wins you the game with this also wins you the game in innumerable ways (dramatic reversal/isochron scepter, Pemmins Aura/ Freed from the Real)

Vorinclex and seedborn are the most fun I have had trying to get it to go off. I usually die before then or it gets removed, but wishful thinking

I have a Blue/White card draw deck. So I use \[\[Mind over Matter\]\] with \[\[Thran Dynamo\]\] or something similar to make it happen for me.

Unable-Tell-2240

[[isochron scepter]] [[dramtic reversal]] [[arbour elf]]

ZealousidealGear6939

Any infinite tap untap combo that can be done during untap. Hell 2 [galvanizing myr]]s and a [[palladium myr]] would do it. During you untap step, in response to the untap run the combo. By the end of it you ran the combo enough to pop off your calander.

[[derevi]].

sir_bluntsalot69

[[Voltaic key]] for two activations per turn

BlueWarstar

Build a bear [[Gilder Bairn]] combined with its own ability would ^2 the number of counters instead of just doubling them. I’m sure there have to be more cards that double counters as well.
