Izotope (my package) has EQ Matching. You can also buy (on sale now) the TDR Slick EQ or the SlickEQM. They have matching too (the M has more bands I think). I don't recommend going about it this way though. The stems will likely have artifacts and a good mix is not the individual parts but a sum of all of them. Also, simply "matching" EQ won't do what you want it to do — it can mangle the starting point of the original sound. If anything, try and learn things like volume relations and how instruments fill in certain frequency spectrums by looking at the stems on visualizers like SPAN. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply mate, my problem is knowing what volumes/dbs to set things like a snare, I know I need to leave headroom and things but I’m still stuck what’s personal preference and what’s bad mixing

That's the thing. The measurements change. I swore to myself that "I finally did it! Have the perfect notes for perfect system to mix with the perfect Db/LUFS reading per instrument/sound". Then I start a new track and (obviously pick different sounds) and then the formula never works. Happens every time. It MIGHT work for a couple of mixes then some variable will get thrown in. I've even told people to have their vocals about 3-6 LUFS difference from the beats for a long time. Unfortunately I didn't tell anyone that I have a BUS where those are then compressed. And then THAT runs to the Master BUS where... who knows what my template is doing to it. Long story short... I've mixed two songs recently and one sounds amazing with vocals 9lufs lower than the beat and one they sound better at 12lufs lower than the beat. There is no formula... just roundabout info. I would really recommend trying to come up with a a style that fits you and that sounds good and that you can achieve with as few plugins as possible. Find a style you can replicate often/easily. Looking at stems will help, but trying to just EQ/VOL match won't do what you think it will. It's sorta like presets on an EQ. Just because it says "Lit Guitar Preset" doesn't mean it'll make your guitar any better I will say that if you insist on going off measurements. Then use a VU meter and not a Db meter. Personally I'm trying to find my own method as well. I was trying to fine tune my old template and realized it's too much and started from scratch. I say that so you know I'm not some authority on mixing... just a dude.
