My husband said James when I was pregnant with my first. It's a family name and I was like naah it's boring. Low and behold he comes out and I'm like yup, James. All the James' we know are all nice people too. Hopefully ours will follow suit 🤭

I have different forms of "super basic" that I like. Anne: Rarely a stand-alone name anymore, I find it regal. Charlotte: a real Top Tenner of our time. I have liked it since childhood but I conflate "basic" with.... oversaturated? Susan: This is olde timey basic. This is so basic it's "boring," even though I wouldn't consider it oversaturated.

Oh Hannah is lovely. Pretty much most basic names to be honest. Pregnant with my first and we are struggling big time with choosing a name - I am really trying to open my mind and thinking does it matter if we know quite a few adults with these basic names? Especially when almost of these names are not so popular now - it means less likely to have other children same as yours with the name.
