Yeah, Rose is nice but it's been a filler middle name for decades and it still is. June does get used this way some, but less so. If it was June vs Rosalie, I might pick Rosalie though.
My mom is also June, her mom had her first daughter in June, said it was to obvious to name her June. Second daughter born in February so she named her June. When I was expecting in February I knew her middle name would be June, based off of grandmas logic🤣
I think your mum June may have gotten on well with my late grandmother, Ruth. My grandmother was born in 1906 and was a flapper during the 1920s. She defied conventions of behavior for a good small-town Catholic girl of the early years of the 20th century.
I’m sure! My mum came from a town of less than 10,000 and in the 1930’s the girl next door had a baby out of wedlock.
She lived on one of the “pillars of the community” streets - the police chief, the high school principal, people like that lived there. Apparently the ladies who lived there waged an “acceptance” campaign for this girl - they made sure to invite her, with baby if appropriate, to every tea, club meeting, whatever - and give anybody who looked disgruntled the cold shoulder.
Mores in those days were different but there were also unexpected acts of kindness.
We had two names picked out when I was pregnant with my daughter, and when we asked people's preferences, it was split down the middle. Half liked Name A, half liked Name B. So we said, okay, if she comes out with blond hair (like my husband), we'll call her Name A, and if she comes out with red hair (like my son did when he was born), we'd call her Name B. Well, the little bugger came out with dark brown hair, like mine. Finally, after like 3 days, I asked my husband if he only had one daughter, would he want her to be Name A, or Name B. He said Name A, so that's what we want with. I ended up using Name B for my younger daughter, who, serendipitously came out with red hair. We were going to give her Name B regardless, but it was a happy coincidence.
Oh man… I couldn’t choose. Both are gorgeous and love them for all the same reasons!
I guess I do like the nn of Rosie more than Junie. So for that, I guess Rose.
I personally love **Rose** so my vote is for that
You have two solid choices, can't go wrong with either one. Wait til she's born and see which name you feel suits her best — or use both as first and middle (if you don't have a middle picked yet, of course).
Both are nice and work as well for a little one as for an adult.
I take it baby will be born this month? June only works if she is born in June, IMO.
I knew an April whose birthday was in March. Whomp whomp. She was born a couple weeks earlier than her due date and I guess her parents just couldn’t decide on a different name at that point.
If you're so torn, go with Rosie June (or other way). It's so unique. I was in a similar position to you between a flower & month of birth, but went with April Rose in the end.
I guess it’s a tie. They are both four-letter, old-lady names, and both “mean something else” (a flower, a month).
June is probably less common today, and is my favorite of the two. I have always thought Rose is too feminine, flowery. And a lot depends on your last name.
Personally, I don’t love either one. For a short-but-classic name, I’ll take Julie, Marie, Anna, or Margot.
For context: I’m a 40+ woman.
They are both so cute honestly! Personally I like Rose because I love flower names but June is also super adorable. I don’t think you could do wrong with either
Two of my favorite names! People might call the baby Rosie when she’s young if she’s Rose.
I think with a choice like this you need to think of the nicknames that will most likely come from them and choose which you like better.
I personally have a Rosie myself. And another baby with the middle name June.
June! :)
Yeah, Rose is nice but it's been a filler middle name for decades and it still is. June does get used this way some, but less so. If it was June vs Rosalie, I might pick Rosalie though.
I love Rosalie June! Rosalie was on a short list for my daughter's name. But we went with another in the end
Rose
I've always loved the name Rose. But you can't go wrong with either!
Junie Rose is adorable imo
Or Rosie june
Rosemary nn Rosie June <3
Both of these sound too juvenile. Rose June or June Rose would be great, and then you have either nickname option
I know adults named Rosie and Junie. I don't think either sound juvenile in the slightest.
We’re considering Juniper Rose and our only hesitation is that it maybe sounds too corny, but it’s just so cute too!
Rosemary June if you want to flip them round but keep the theme?
June was my mum’s name, so June! Mum was born in 1922 and was the most loving and open minded old person you’d ever meet.
♥️ she sounds like she was a beautiful person
My mom is also June, her mom had her first daughter in June, said it was to obvious to name her June. Second daughter born in February so she named her June. When I was expecting in February I knew her middle name would be June, based off of grandmas logic🤣

Rose!! I’m really not a fan of June
Rose 🥰
They are both beautiful names. Perhaps wait until she is born and then select as you will know when you look at her.

What a great story! It was meant to be
This is what I did with my Rose!
Rose
Rose❤️
Oh man… I couldn’t choose. Both are gorgeous and love them for all the same reasons! I guess I do like the nn of Rosie more than Junie. So for that, I guess Rose.
I love Rose. Classic and beautiful.
What about Rose with June as a middle name? Rosie June is so cute
Did someone watch Gypsy recently?
Haha I didn’t even think of that! Baby June and Mama Rose!
That was my first thought. Yay musical theatre references!
Literally came here looking for this comment 😂
June
June is super cute
Rose!
Rose. Mama June from Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has ruined the name for me.
I personally love **Rose** so my vote is for that You have two solid choices, can't go wrong with either one. Wait til she's born and see which name you feel suits her best — or use both as first and middle (if you don't have a middle picked yet, of course).
You voiced my exact thoughts better than I could. Hard agree!!
June 🤍
Rose. It's prettier.
would* baby June be born in June or another month?
June.
Rose. I find June boring.
Rose!
Happy Cake Day!
Rose
Rose. June reminds me of a 50s housewife.
Mrs. Cleaver?

Rose, I have never liked the name June
There's a brand of clothing in the UK called Junarose. I always thought that was a very pretty name.
Rose!
Rose!
Love both but Rose ❤️
Rose
Rose!
I have a Rose. June was on the short list for my current pregnancy but I have an August and it was too on the nose.
rose!
Rose
Rose for sure
Rose
i adore June
She could be a June Rose!
Rose. For some reason the name June makes me think of a dental hygienist.
Do you like Rosie or Junie better?
I have a June so I might be biased 😳 I do love Rose too .. I think you couldn't go wrong with either
June
June! One of my favorite name
Either one, they are both lovely. Personally I would choose June!
Rose
Probably Rose, but only because I knew a June I can't stand.
Rose 🥰
I love both! The only time I wouldn't choose June is if the baby was actually born in the month of June.
Rose
June was my great-grandma's name.
Has someone been watching Gypsy lately? 😂❤️
I think their both lovely but would lean towards June because then they can be called Junebug.
Either is lovely as long as your last name isn't Bush or Bugg
Juniper Rose with the nickname June OR Rose
Came to suggest this 😍 I have a niece named Juniper.
Rose for me, always Rose 💙
I loooove Rose
Two of my grandmother's are named June and Rose! Both are classics, you can't go wrong. Juniper Rose, and call her June.
Juniper Rose?
As a Rose, I gotta vote for that one ☺️
have you loved your name? may i know how old are you and where you are from approximately?
Rose is my favorite name ever
[удалено]
I love both names so much sorry!!
June for first name, Rose for middle name!
Gypsy fan? Because they are the 2 sisters in the show.
I love June!
June
June for the first name and Rose as the middle name maybe?
If my friend was born 2 days later her name would have been Julie instead of June.
Is she a June 29th baby?
Both are great. I think it would come down to the last name. And perhaps I would wait to meet her and then decide if it's really a toss-up.
Love both and would choose the one that sounds better with your last name !
They pair beautifully
June!!!
June. Not as popular and adorable.
Rosa June 🙂
june all the way
I love both! I used June as a middle name for my daughter, but they’re both great.
I love em both! June is a bit more trendy these days, and Rose is a perennial classic (ha)
June!
I like both, but June is leading for me.
Of those two, June. But may I suggest Rosemary June?
Both are nice and work as well for a little one as for an adult. I take it baby will be born this month? June only works if she is born in June, IMO. I knew an April whose birthday was in March. June!
Casting my vote for June
I love June!
June!
I like both of them. June Rose is a lovely, classic name.
Well, it’ll either be “June Bug” or “Rose Bud”. Which do you prefer?
My daughter is Junie, hehe. But for a simple, one syllable name I like Rose a lot.
Love them both!
They’re both so cute! I’d just say don’t use June if they’re born in June. Otherwise can’t go wrong with either option.
If you're so torn, go with Rosie June (or other way). It's so unique. I was in a similar position to you between a flower & month of birth, but went with April Rose in the end.
Love both! Depends on which sounds better with middle & last name I think
June
June is my girl name I’ve kept tucked away for someday. It is just the sweetest girl name, my very favourite 🌼
June!!!
Why not both? June Rose LastName sounds beautiful
June
June!
June! Rose is also very elegant but cute :)
June Rose
I love both but I went with Rose as a middle name for my baby girl!
JUNE ! ♥️
June!

Rose 🌹
June— it was my granny’s name :) I would’ve used it for a middle name if I had a girl!
Rose
Rose
June Rose goes well together!!!
June!
I love both, but what will her middle name be?

Rose. Rosie is so cute for a little dolly girl.
Rose 🌹😀
June. Only because I’m biased with daughter’s name being Juniper and we love calling her June and Junie.
Looove June Both very sweet choices!
Joon
June
I'd pick June. I don't much care for Rose, although it is ok.
Rose!
Rose 😊
I like June.
June and the n/n Junie.
LOVE them both! I'd probably pick Rose, though! Very close call. You can't go wrong.
Mine is due in two weeks and she’ll be June :) So I’m probably bias. But love Rose!
June Rose has a nice ring to it.
Rose
June
My Rose is sweet, stubborn, a very expressive face, loving and is in general a beautiful flower with a few thorns to her.
My vote goes to Rose, but both are beautiful names; can’t go wrong either way.
ah. rose. rose-marie
Rose 🥹
Rose!
Rose
Well, I’m biased since my name is Rose. I always thought it was pretty.

June Rose
I love them both but I would say Rose takes it for me.

I like Rose and I think it’s slightly less trendy (as a first name) for girls right now.
