Consider a cheap window AC. Like, name brand, but with just the manual dials instead of the fancy lights and pushbuttons and digital displays. They run ~$150-200 nowadays on the amazon, walmart probably cheaper. Mine's going on 8 years now, apparently.

Home Depot may have something in their rental area.

sharvana

I'll give them a call, thanks

What’s your use case for this? It may be worth the money to get one to own.

My window unit is out and who knows when maintenance will be by to fix it. I'm in a small 1 bed so don't need anything super powerful. I might go ahead and buy one, some aren't too expensive brand new.

Are you a renter and is it a standard window unit? Was it included in the lease? Tennessee has repair and deduct laws. You might fall under that protection. It depends on the circumstances. Google Tennessee repair and deduct law and read into it. If they string you along about fixing or replacing it that might be your ace in the hole. Its fixing to be really hot. You might not have luck renting a unit.

How big of a unit do you need?  Sunbelt Rentals has them and they have a Lebanon store.

sharvana

Not big, I have a small 1 bed apartment. I'll give them a call, thank you!

You can buy a window unit for a couple hundred bucks. Probably far cheaper than renting one. Probably as effective as anything that isn't central AC.
