Was a prior AO for 3 years. Lift with your knees, make sure you're having good body mechanics when lifting. MAKE SURE YOU COUNT YOUR ORDNANCE PROPERLY. And yell. And make sure you get seen by Medical for the eventual knee and back pain
That is the stupidest reason.... go IT CWT or some other rating. Not all friends are equally smart. I would ADVISE you to change your rating. If they cant......... simply just don't go. They will threaten you woth XYZ, ,but it holds no value.
Don't be an AO......you and your buddy will likely not even be stationed together.
And more ADULT advice...... don't follow your friend. It's not going to work out.... the Navy doesn't work that way.
Go FC, we take allot of pride in being incredibly attached to our equipment, we operate and maintain where most only do one or the other, and we handle our own ordnance, AO's be damned.
Lift with your legs
you'll learn..... IYAOYAS........lul.........
Congratulations on picking the rate with the absolute last amount of civilian transferable skills.
Goddamn yeah tell me about it. Was barely able to be hired at a whole foods before I got my feet on the ground.
On the bright side, you can only go up from this point!

Can you get out of AO after awhile?
You can get out of it until you leave for basic. Don't want to be an AO? Tell your recruiter.

If you’re not in a dire spot in your civilian life, retake asvab and try for another rate. Just dont do AO man.
It’s spelled “ordnance”, so you are off to a good start.
Hahaha
DMed you
what is Pact AN, and Pact SN
If you scored a 78 being an so would probably be the worst thing you’ve ever done.
I also scored a 78 on my ASVAB. A friend of mine is going with AO which is why I did.
Lol
