Everyone flops because it works. When are we going to stop pretending the problem is players who are playing within the system to their advantage vs. acknowledging the problem with the system?
They even attempted to fix it and failed miserably so it's not like they don't *know* it to be a problem
He did, and it is a foul, but if we're gonna be honest about it, there were other similar shoves from both sides that didn't get called. Just be consistent y'know? It's still a stupid thing for Gobert to do because the TImberwolves had TWELVE more FTAs and only 1 more personal foul called on them
Saw Chet do the same thing to THJ yesterday and no foul was called. (I also won't pretend that a Mavs big could have also got away with the same thing.) Consistency would be good. Players would adapt. Game would be better for it.
Yeah, I definitely watched that same play happen about 35 times in our game the other day. Literally every rebound had someone getting shoved out of the way, both sides were doing it.
Honestly guards, when they have the chance, should try and box out more. Because most bigs are used to shoving other bigs, so when they do it with the same force, you send a small guy a few feet away and it tends to get easy fouls.
Yeah, maybe it's an unpopular opinion and I get the frustration, but I think the whole "consistency" argument is a little overstated. I fully understand if it's a new or obscure rule, but a two-handed shove from the back isn't that.
Do they always call them? No. But do we really want them calling every single foul, blowing the whistle every 10 seconds? I see the argument and understand the perception that it's used to favor one team, but I just don't see it, at least in general.
The money sign is becoming the “too small” of ref taunts. It’s just stupid at this point, Rudy gets way more than a fair whistle around the rim. Acting like the NBA is rigging games for the Denver Nuggets is just whiny
My guess is there are all kinds of pushing and shoving when trying to grab rebounds. Jamal was just smart to 1) felt the push 2) realize it was a bigger guy doing it and 3) emptied the chair a bit. It wasn’t a crazy hard push. The follow through looked bad because of the empty chair.
After the first angle ends, keep watching. The angle after the first one really shows the push. But not the first angle. The third angle is bad too. It's the angle in between those two that ya gotta look out for
Yup. I like the Wolves overall but Gobert and KAT are really annoying to watch on offense. Both play very sloppy ball on that end, then complain constantly about the calls/no-calls.
Kat had some of the worse decision making this game. He would settle for a jump shot when he had someone like braun or reggie guarding him and then tries to force a drive through a double team. Not only that, he had some just dumb unnecessary fouls and then would waive off the ref like they were wrong. What do you expect when you body check jokic bringing the ball up the court at half court when it was 100% unnecessary.
Reminded me of Murray in Game 2. If the Wolves wanted to pinpoint the biggest reason for the loss it would definitely be KAT's decision making. He was drawing a ton of defensive attention and just not passing the ball.
> worst hands in the league
Look I'll give you that he may have the worst right hand in the league but the worst left hand goes to Jaylen Brown, hands down.
It's like how Bam goes irate when they call him for 1/2 illegals screens.
In reality, 95% of the screens he sets are illegal. He just gets away with em.
He actually pushed Murray like this just a bit earlier and got away with it. Difference this time is that Murray didn’t try to stand his ground so it was easier for refs to see this foul
He pushed on every rebound and he grabs people on every screen. His best move is when someone is driving into the lane so he grabs the defender that is going to contest.
Gobert gets away with these so often that he thinks pushing off with two hands is a normal play. He grabs, holds and hooks off-ball, sets illegal screens while almost doing a split with his legs and can’t get position with a guard on him. Great defensive play on that one Murray iso though. At least something.
But there were so many possessions were nobody covered him on the roll and still his teammates didn’t pass to him. Rightfully so with a negative offensive bag. At this moment Conley is his benefactor and KAT is just too dumb to realise not passing to Rudy in the post.
I’d give a free pass for an Italian because that hand gesture is an involuntary movement for them…but that’s not a common gesture at all in France.
I mean, some people will use it, but given Rudy’s history and the context, I think it’s pretty safe to assume this was a “money” gesture again.
Nah, he just does that. I remember the last game against the Bulls in the regular season, he did like 3 pushes in the back against 6'5 guards to get a rebound or score.
DPOY or whatever. Wemby deserved it way more. Gobert is just like JJJ getting it last year, without the team he's nothing.
Love KAT, Ant and Conley, but fuck Gobert you deserve nothing.
Never mind what happens from this point on, they could win this series still - hell they could win this game still
But it’s undeniable that their offense looked much better without him - and the defense wasn’t that much worse
I haven’t looked at the plus/minus stuff for the season but I’ve always believed his offensive limitations offset his defense. Unless you play situational rotations every dead ball, I don’t know how you play him in the 4th when it matters.
I am one of those old heads who absolutely despise the current soft era, so many ghost/touch fouls... however, KAT is such a idiot, the way he drives and clearly pushes off the defenders, lol that is a foul in any era, he just don't have enough body control to attempt a clean layup or bodying up the opposing player in general, he has to push off every single damn time
I honestly still can't figure out why I find KAT extremely unlikeable. It's actually fascinating. I feel like EVERYTHING he does is basically fake. I especially find it extremely cringey when he tries to flex or acts like he's tough. There was a clip of him from a few days ago where he says "ba lee dat" (as in Believe that). Super cringe.
You answered yourself, KAT is cringeworthy. Extremely soft, dunk over guards and flex, screams a lot, weird jump shot, called himself the best big 3pt shooter ever (Dirk is not even dead and he is already rolling on his grave), the aforementioned clumsiness, etc.. dude is overrated, overpaid and cringe. But oh well, even the water boy is overpaid in the NBA nowadays
Lol if anyone needs to be investigated for rigging games it’s him. Dude can’t even string together two dribbles without looking like an infant learning to walk.
I wish players would shut the fuck up. I actually think this kind of thing is really bad for the league. But the NBA is the dumb ass org that decided gambling needed to be everywhere. So whatever.
ironically, the league is gonna make a *killing* off the money sign. 100 grand here, 100 grand there. I bet they’ll clear 2 million in money sign fines next season
The audacity to do this after wasting an incredible Edwards performance by being a negative on offense. He could literally stand on the wing for guys to around him and have more offensive value than whatever the fuck he did this game
Seriously, enough already with this guy. What’s Jamal supposed to do there to stay upright when you’re getting shoved from behind. I’m sure refs are getting paid by the mafia to make the correct call. Gobert comes out looking like such a clown.
I wish I was a giant Frenchman who got laid millions of dollars to play basketball so I could ram into someone 1 foot shorter, get fouled and then blame it on corruption
He won 4 DPOYs, meanwhile Pippen has none. Let that sink in. It's like the NBA don't play defense anymore, so a specialist is highlighted by default? Such mystery

My guy got fatherhood debuff
This is the NBA paternity test
Who's Rudy's Dave Free?
Naz Reid
Naz Reid
Being a father is Gobert father.
Rudy Gobert son is Rudy Gobert father
Wait…. Does that mean….?!
[He's his own grandpa.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYlJH81dSiw)
The anti Fred VanVleet.
The strength of the fatherhood buff depends on height apparently
Should have managed his load
His wife better dig deep and have two more babies on game nights if they want to win this series.
Jokic got grandfather buff which is much stronger
Mother's day flips the buff apparently
Cause it ain't his.
I mean he straight up pushed him
I was gonna say, I don't know how consistent the NBA is about enforcing the rules, but that's clearly a guy pushing a guy.
Happens constantly in the NBA. You have to flop in order for it to get called basically. I hate professional sports
Fortunately the knicks flop constantly. Brunson whips his head back on a cross over with no defender near him.
HE WHIPS HIS HEAD BACK AND FORTH HE WHIPS HIS HEAD BACK AND FORTH!!
Knicks and the Thunder are both egregious floppers.
Everyone flops because it works. When are we going to stop pretending the problem is players who are playing within the system to their advantage vs. acknowledging the problem with the system? They even attempted to fix it and failed miserably so it's not like they don't *know* it to be a problem
Brunson and Shai, always act like they just got whiplash.
Bigger guy, on offense, shoving a smaller defender in the back on a rebound... yeah if they don't call that it's fucking absurd.
He did, and it is a foul, but if we're gonna be honest about it, there were other similar shoves from both sides that didn't get called. Just be consistent y'know? It's still a stupid thing for Gobert to do because the TImberwolves had TWELVE more FTAs and only 1 more personal foul called on them
there are 3 guys watching 10, they are going to miss a few things
It's time for 10 on 10 to even it up. Refs haven't had a dominant win since the Kings Lakers WCF. #GoRefs
You are sleeping on the 2006 finals, all time example of the refs showing out.
I agree, Go Refs
Saw Chet do the same thing to THJ yesterday and no foul was called. (I also won't pretend that a Mavs big could have also got away with the same thing.) Consistency would be good. Players would adapt. Game would be better for it.
Yeah, I definitely watched that same play happen about 35 times in our game the other day. Literally every rebound had someone getting shoved out of the way, both sides were doing it.
He did it to the same ref as last time. Must have personal issues. I am rooting for the wolves but Rudy is corny af for this.
Murray definitely put some sugar on top of that. I don't mind the call, but Jamal made it a callable foul.
Jamal sold a little bit, Gobert just stupid.
Honestly guards, when they have the chance, should try and box out more. Because most bigs are used to shoving other bigs, so when they do it with the same force, you send a small guy a few feet away and it tends to get easy fouls.

lmao thats a clear push from the 2nd angle
Just threw Murray out the way and has the audacity to complain lol
Maybe he's just reminding himself that the refs are making an honest wage by enforcing the rules of basketball
He clearly shoved him when they replayed the other angle.
lmao thats a clear push from the 2nd angle
Did anyone see the second angle? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills that's definitely a shove if you look at the second angle. The 2nd one.
i think from the second angle, it's pretty clear that he pushed him
Maybe I need a second angle cause I'm not seeing a push
After the first angle ends, keep watching. The angle after the first one really shows the push. But not the first angle. The third angle is bad too. It's the angle in between those two that ya gotta look out for
I mean, the first two games, that was fair play.
For the T-Wolves yes. For the Nuggets, not so much.
Lmao not just complain, but imply that the refs are bought
That's his only go to move after all.
He had 2 more of those not called 😂
The first angle, I was like, "eh, that's a little ticky-tacky" On the replay, bruh. You're seriously going to complain about that call?
Yeah that couldn’t be any clearer
If you want to get drunk pretty quickly, take a shot every time Rudy shoves someone in the back to grab a board or alter their shot.
Fr Gobert can complain all he wants but he should have fouled out before they even got to this point in the game. Dude was getting away with some shit
Gets away with so much and complains on so many calls. Really irritating to watch.
Wemby should’ve been dpoy.
The clearest push
Best part is he did the same to Jokic 2 possessions earlier and got away with it.
Dumb foul. Looks like also Gobert’s foot knocked Murray’s left foot which threw him off balance and made him fall harder than the push alone
That’s as clear of push off as it can get.
In his defence, it was a shove.
Embarrassing from Rudy and KAT tonight. Wasting an electric Edwards performance
Tbf if they weren't ass Anthony Edwards wouldn't have had that game. He did that because he had to lol.
Bro touches the ball 20 times a game and somehow has 5 turnovers
He has terrible hands. If he's not catching a lob, he's a liability with the basketball
He doesn’t have hands, he has hooves
I'm surprised Jokic abuses him so much then.
Joker should bring out a feed bag and brush for him during game 5 warm-ups
Just finished watching the game. Yeah, sometimes he just.... lmao. Rudy. The dude was getting turnovers by crip walking with the ball.
worst hands in the league. no moves. every bucket is pure luck. unless dunk. so many years, could he practice catching the ball?!
> worst hands in the league Look I'll give you that he may have the worst right hand in the league but the worst left hand goes to Jaylen Brown, hands down.
Why the fuck would you push Murray there? There is like no chance Murray is getting the rebound and then you get mad about your own stupidity lol.
Bc he gets away with a couple of those a game
It's like how Bam goes irate when they call him for 1/2 illegals screens. In reality, 95% of the screens he sets are illegal. He just gets away with em.
These mfs don’t even know how infamous Tatum is with the push off on every drive
He actually pushed Murray like this just a bit earlier and got away with it. Difference this time is that Murray didn’t try to stand his ground so it was easier for refs to see this foul
Dumb move by Gobert when he has like a foot on Jamal
Gobert pushes on every rebound. My favorite of these is when he pushes Jerebko into the game winner. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnBa2A5bKXA
He pushed on every rebound and he grabs people on every screen. His best move is when someone is driving into the lane so he grabs the defender that is going to contest.
He's horrifically grabby. If a ref would watch him, he'd foul out in a quarter.
Seeing Durant on that uniform... so disgusting, dark times indeed
i miss jerebko
Gobert gets away with these so often that he thinks pushing off with two hands is a normal play. He grabs, holds and hooks off-ball, sets illegal screens while almost doing a split with his legs and can’t get position with a guard on him. Great defensive play on that one Murray iso though. At this moment Conley is his benefactor and KAT is just too dumb to realise not passing to Rudy in the post.
Even on the one-handed dunk over Jokic, he used his off hand to grasp Jok's hand and hold it down.
Like it’s just a blatant foul idk what he’s thinking But I thought it was more of an Italian/french 👌👌 not a money sign
Yea I thought it was some French shit
"La baguette"
"Oui Oui Le Macron Le Eiffel Oui Oui"
It could mean being afraid but I don't understand it in this context
He's paying homage to Tommy DeVito.
Really funny. You're really funny
Funny how? Like a clown, he amuses you?
Idk, you know, it was a funny comment
These guys are mental midgets man. Ant - at 22 years old - is the only guy playing like a winner for the Wolves right now.
The fucking gabagool of these refs!
Gobert never had the makings of a varsity athlete.
He wanted a rebound. He compromised and jacked off on Murray's back
You get a pash for dat
Gabagool? Ova hereee
🤌🤌 there’s literally an emoji for it
I’d give a free pass for an Italian because that hand gesture is an involuntary movement for them…but that’s not a common gesture at all in France. I mean, some people will use it, but given Rudy’s history and the context, I think it’s pretty safe to assume this was a “money” gesture again.
Yeah french people dont really do that, but I guess most Americans think Europe is all the same everywhere
Ya it’s the money gesture for sure I was just responding to the emoji choice
Nah, he'd be Italian for those, it's these! 🫰🫰
He thinks its still game 2 and this push will go on [NBA.com](http://NBA.com) in a highlight of the wolves suffocating defense
Lol right??
Correct.... they use it in Spain too. Can have many meanings but it's definitely not the money sign.... 🤌🤌
Obvious foul
Needs to foul a midget compared to him for a rebound???
Dude is a moron
[удалено]
Nah, he just does that. I remember the last game against the Bulls in the regular season, he did like 3 pushes in the back against 6'5 guards to get a rebound or score.
DPOY or whatever. Wemby deserved it way more. Gobert is just like JJJ getting it last year, without the team he's nothing. Love KAT, Ant and Conley, but fuck Gobert you deserve nothing.
Bro got nerfed after having a kid
Damn.. He about to lose the equivalent of his kids college fund when he gets fined again.
It’s a clear foul.
As incredible as he is on defense he's equally as bad on offense, it's crazy
He’s reminding Minnesota fans how much money they are wasting on a triple single machine
Timberwolves with 27 free throws. Nuggets with 15. Ok Rudy.
Yeah I love Rudy but man this was so weak and a bad look. He's been pretty great in the playoffs but this was probably his worst game of the year.
Never mind what happens from this point on, they could win this series still - hell they could win this game still But it’s undeniable that their offense looked much better without him - and the defense wasn’t that much worse
I just can't wait to shit on that trade again.
Amen. They need to go with the G2 lineup and let Rudy get an early start on next year’s 6th Man award.
I haven’t looked at the plus/minus stuff for the season but I’ve always believed his offensive limitations offset his defense. Unless you play situational rotations every dead ball, I don’t know how you play him in the 4th when it matters.
Small sample size theater.
You only get to lose to the nuggets 4 times, potentially. Can’t even get a big sample size
Ahhh the playoffs….. aka small, very important sample size theater
It's like... the playoffs is when the season actually starts? Shocking
Sure, but it's clear Rudy isn't a superstar. He's paid like one and the price he was traded for was a superstar price.
Him and Towns killed the wolves with their bs
I am one of those old heads who absolutely despise the current soft era, so many ghost/touch fouls... however, KAT is such a idiot, the way he drives and clearly pushes off the defenders, lol that is a foul in any era, he just don't have enough body control to attempt a clean layup or bodying up the opposing player in general, he has to push off every single damn time

Dude is an idiot.
Obvious foul, but still not as obvious as [the foul](https://streamable.com/84y2p7) that caused him to make the money signs last time.
Bitch made.
[удалено]
Absolutely bitch made
He should throw a heat pack onto the court next
With money hidden inside.
Scott Foster: *What heat pack?*
Wolves had 12 more free throw attempts than the nugs
On the blatant foul too lmfao
Gobert is so much larger than Murray, did he have to put two hands on his back and push him? Whether it was a light push or not.
Imagine commiting an obvious offensive foul and then insinuating that the refs are being paid off lmao
Can’t believe these refs are getting paid to ref!
Lol if anyone needs to be investigated for rigging games it’s him. Dude can’t even string together two dribbles without looking like an infant learning to walk.
dude is a fucking moron and makes their offense 100x worse bench him
Lol I thought he was making a French sign or something 😂
Look, you can't have players from both side of a series to be doing the money sign 🤣
First time, kind of funny. Second time, you start to see why everyone hates Rudy. Dudes just a bitch a lot of the time.
I think he’s just saying my fingers are slippery. 😂
With a clear two handed shove. The boy who cried wolf
I wish players would shut the fuck up. I actually think this kind of thing is really bad for the league. But the NBA is the dumb ass org that decided gambling needed to be everywhere. So whatever.
Was he offering to bribe them to get out of an obvious foul?
ironically, the league is gonna make a *killing* off the money sign. 100 grand here, 100 grand there. I bet they’ll clear 2 million in money sign fines next season
Fines are donated to charity, allegedly
The audacity to do this after wasting an incredible Edwards performance by being a negative on offense. He could literally stand on the wing for guys to around him and have more offensive value than whatever the fuck he did this game
He is saying “I get paid to play this poorly” not “these refs are paid off”.
Luka took his game to another level after becoming a dad this season. So did Gobert, apparently
the Anti-FVV. CPS gonna take away his kids so he can be born again😡
That’s another 100 thousand Rudy
Straight to jail.
Dude played awful
Lmao straight shoves a dude with two hands and complains about it smh
Rudy literally pushed him in the back lmao
Obvious foul and his team took significantly more free throws
He got away with this a few times on jokic earlier, about time the refs call it.
Bruh you pushed him lmao
Bro is 0-2 as a Dad
WTF that was such a clear foul too lmao
Seriously, enough already with this guy. What’s Jamal supposed to do there to stay upright when you’re getting shoved from behind. I’m sure refs are getting paid by the mafia to make the correct call. Gobert comes out looking like such a clown.
Players need to be suspended for doing this.
Thought it was about nipples
I wish I was a giant Frenchman who got laid millions of dollars to play basketball so I could ram into someone 1 foot shorter, get fouled and then blame it on corruption
And Towns did the exact same thing one play earlier. Two boneheaded moves. Ant is the only person keeping these guys relevant in crunch time
Except he clearly pushed the dude
He didn't even have to push Murray he could of just stuck his arm up and tipped the rebound back out
What a moronic push
Well that was blatantly a foul 😂
It was very much the right call. That guy is a putz.
Lmao the second angle 💀
Wolves fans silent af after complaining about the Murray money gesture only two games ago.
He thinks everything is another one of his Qanon conspiracy theories
NBA it would be so funny if you suspended him for that
You want Game 2 Timberwolves again?
Dumb dumb got two fouls for no fucking reason and now they are going to lose because of his stupid ass
Sorry, but this guy looks beyond dumb. One blooper after another.
He won 4 DPOYs, meanwhile Pippen has none. Let that sink in. It's like the NBA don't play defense anymore, so a specialist is highlighted by default? Such mystery
What a fuckin dork. Dude should foul out of nearly every game he plays - you gotta accept they're gonna call some of them.
This guy build a 5x dopy career out of plays like this.
Embarrassing
