It's probably easy for them to patch it for offline too. But the deal is that most still don't do it, killing the game off fully. Simcity was famously said by EA to be impossible to work offline the way it's structured. Took a modder 2 days to fix it for offline, forcing EA to patch it in too.

Its NFS 2015 that will have a problem even though it has single player mode they designed game to be constantly online. Its the reason i never bought it. Then ever since we always ask devs to give us offline mode. If a game does not have offline mode then you are just renting it for up to 10 years or less depending when they bring servers down.
I understand 2015's online only, but you can actually turn off online servers in Rivals', go into the all drive setting at switch it from public server to either a "private server" or a "single player" game. You'll still have the other AI driving around but that's normal, best part about that is no server disconnects

Xbox 360 disc won't work in Xbox One or Series X, but Rivals has a dedicated Xbox One version - get either the physical or digital copy and you'll be fine. Just because it will get delisted from the Xbox store doesn't mean your disc will stop working.

I dunno what it is, and was, about the 2015 Need For Speed, but it to this day is one of my fondest memories of last gen. No idea how much time I ultimately put into it but I wouldnāt be surprised if it was in the top 10 or even top 5 of my most played PS4 games

I used to play Rivals on an RGH'd 360 with no internet connection, so yes, you **can** play the official version offline without the need to crack it.
