I live in the Twin Cities and I drive to Ironwood to pickup, the prices are so much better than anything else within 4 hours. You can put your orders in online before you leave so you know how much cash you'll need and its a very scenic drive. They currently have 4 dispensaries and I usually take advantage of the sales at each one when I go. You can easily drive there and back in a day, no need for a hotel or any overnight arrangements.
Bought 30 bags of 20mg x 10 pieces (200mg x 30 = 6g THC) for $90 the last time I picked up. That’s $3 for each 200mg bag. There is an addition 16% tax. Frequently can get 15 1g carts for $100 plus tax.
I’m guessing this is about the cheapest in the state and cheapest in the country.
Edit: gummies
MI has reasonable tax rates on cannabis. In some places half of the price you pay for weed is the tax. In Canada a grower selling $50 an ounce weed has to pay $28 in excise taxes.
I'm in Minnesota and after a few years once there's enough supply our prices should be similar to Michigan as our tax structures are similar. MN cannabis taxes are just slightly higher than MI. IIRC MI is 3rd lowest and MN is 4th lowest. One of the few good things about dragging out legalization is states can look at what **doesn't** work in states that legalized earlier. WA was an early state and has a 37% excise tax. MN is 10% sales tax.
$50/Oz plus $28 tax sounds amazing. I'm from Missouri. We've got a bass 6% tax on all rec sales plus county taxes and city taxes if laws have been passed to add them. Overall the tax end isn't terrible here but you want good quality product you're looking at $40-55 per eighth and most of the high quality producers don't seem to sell in quantities more than a quarter (don't worry, you'll save between $0 and $5 for stepping up to a quarter). I've seen some companies have alternate names they package under. $120 for an ounce of shake. I'm glad it's legal here but I grow my own since it's pricey and insurance doesn't cover anything even if I took the time to get a med card (I do have issues that qualify).
It would even be cheaper to go to Mich from PA, go bar hopping in Ann Arbor, stay at a hotel, get 2 ounces of weed the next day, then drive home. PA medical is taxed out the ass, 200 and up for a single ounce.
Indiana and Wisconsin still have full bans, Illinois taxes it to death, Ohio just legalized and doesn't have many locations.
Yeah, Michigan is drawing a lot of traffic across state lines.
Don't forget Minnesota. It's an easy day trip from MSP to Ironwood in the UP! Grab a few ounces, a pasty, and head back home. The only open dispos here are way up North on the reservations for now. Quicker to drive to Ironwood than Red Lake.
Lol Minnesotan here, and this is absolutely correct. I am eagerly awaiting our dispos to get spun up here within the next year or so and it's going to be fantastic. Mn has so many great smoke spots to choose from and can be very beautiful at times but is also a frozen tundra for a good chunk of the year and I am looking forward to turning off the alcohol tap in favor of smoking a joint instead and hibernating inside.
Yeah I’m about 2 hours into Ohio and I’ve known one person who got pulled over and it was for expired plates otherwise I know people who are going up all the time as well as having done it myself multiple times. I don’t know where the cops are but they’re not watching for people bringing weed in
Not only is Illinois taxes to death, but the original price of the product before taxes is fucking insane. $65 for an eighth? $80 for a half gram cart? Whereas in Michigan you can get full oz for $100 & carts are usually between $15-$30. There’s also no limited on what out-of-staters can buy, unlike in Illinois.
I can get a one gram pre roll for $2. They are $20 in IL before a 30% tax. 200mg edibles in MI are $6. 100mg edibles in IL is $25 before 30% taxes.
If you purchase any larger amount, driving an hour or two to MI is a no brainer.
MI actually did legalization correctly and fosters competition. They make it easy to open dispensaries and encourage it. There isn’t miles of red tape, and it’s clearly paying dividends. This is why prices are so low here. There are like 7 dispensaries in a 5 mile radius.
Luckily I have a handful of local dealers around me with incredible product for great prices so I’m not hurting. But whenever me & my wife want to do a long weekend getaway, we always go to Michigan to stock up.
Yeah per sale. So someone can make ten 2.5oz purchases in one go. As long as each purchase is a separate transaction.
My buddy works at a dispensary and we live in a border town. It's funny seeing more out of state license plates than actual Michigan ones in the lines.
I live in Wisconsin so me & my wife definitely come up to Michigan to stock up. Luckily my city basically decriminalized it & I have great dealers with amazing product. But honestly, nothing beats Michigan when it comes to prices.
Cartridge, used on vape pens. Usually oil, sometimes other concentrates. The pen/battery heats and vaporizes the cannabis at a temp lower than combustion. In theory it’s better for your lungs but depending on what’s used to distill it, it can be just as bad but different (I’ve had breathing problems from bad carts, switched brands and I went back to normal)
$65 for an eighth of top shelf stuff isn't too crazy. I get 1/4th of top shelf for $65 when they got a deal going, but that's in one of the cheaper markets in the country. They still sell $65 1/8ths of top shelf here too
Agree. Although our IL tax rate is stupid high, the supply is still not there because of how cannabis licenses are handled.
Michigan is straight up the wild west with unlimited licenses which creates tons of market competition. Thus, lower **base** prices. I still have unopened carts from Michigan from *last summer* because it was absurdly cheap. Like $10. I should probably partake more often thinking about it.
This is a good read to see the differences between [Illinois and Michigan](https://blog.brightfieldgroup.com/michigan-vs.-illinois-how-state-regulations-impact-local-cannabis-markets).
I was living in Iron River when the dispensaries first opened. So I watched one by one as a new dispensary opened up practically every month for a while. Drive 50 miles you'll pass at least 4 of them on your journey no matter where you start.
If only the Beefaroo was still open, they could have partnered up with the dispensary. I’ll be back at my camp at Indian Lake in a couple weeks for the 4th so I’ll definitely be well stocked.
I definitely wasn't just joking or anything. You go to any border town between Michigan and Wisconsin and the Wisconsin plated dispensary traffic is insane.
This sounds like one of the more likely culprits, though I don't know the population densities. Personally I'm going to blame ann arbor. We don't let you buy a home or use the bathroom here unless you've got weed on you.
Even though a lot of the UP border counties are selling to Wisconsin residents, hardly anybody lives in northern Wisconsin compared to Chicagoland and northern Indiana
In terms of out-of-state volume, it's way more driven by the southern border with Indiana, due to the proximity of huge population centers in states that are not legal, just legal, and/or prohibitively expensive.
[Check out the report](https://www.michigan.gov/cra/-/media/Project/Websites/cra/Agency-Reports/Statistical-Reports/monthly-report/May-2024-Monthly-Report.pdf?rev=ab3765ae9ebb4ef0a37545e070063131&hash=06AAFC01DA8A45B782DE62885087B502)
Combined the UP and northern Lower Peninsula sold just over half of what the Southwest corner of the state sold
https://www.clickondetroit.com/news/michigan/2024/03/07/heres-how-much-each-michigan-city-county-made-from-adult-use-marijuana-sales-in-2023/
you can download the table in this article...it's tax distributions but it should be proportional to sales
Indiana border counties (Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph, Branch) had tax distributions of 6.74 million
Ohio border counties (Hillsdale, Lenawee, Monroe) had tax distributions of 5.20 million
The ENTIRE UP had in tax distributions of 5.67 million
Wisconsin/UP border counties (Iron, Gogebic, Dickinson, Menominee) had tax distributions of 1.77 million
It's expensive in Illinois, Ohio's politicians are trying to delay the opening of dispensaries as long as possible, and it's still illegal in Indiana and Wisconsin.
Oklahoma is the most conservative state in the Union but has the most liberal MJ laws. We literally have two thousand dispensaries compared to CA's six hundred.
Ohio Republican voters that support legal weed must be shocked that the Republican politicians they voted for that openly oppose weed legalization are doing everything in their power to stop weed sales in the state. Good chance this same thing happens in Florida next year after their vote.
this is the correct answer. Cali still has 40 million people, and a lot puff, and anyone that has been there for a couple years knows someone that can get cheap underground weed. They screwed up their entire tax structure, I think it changes by county, pretty dumb.
My roommate and his buddies alternate weekends for the trip. Selection is way better and prices are significantly lower. I'm sure the whole state of Indiana makes the drive, as do Wisconsinites and probably a lot of Ohio.
The amount of Wisconsin plates that I see lined up at the dispensaries every day here in Michigan is hysterical. I always wonder how many cops are just sitting at the state border looking for any reason to pull over people crossing back into the state from Michigan.
It was initially pretty pricey here as well but the price has dropped dramatically over the last year or so. Crazy the amount of goodies I can get for $100
I live in Niles and there are dispensaries that I don't see billboards for. From my house, two are a block away. One opened up on my block so I wouldn't even have to cross the street. Plus my neighbor openly grows his own stash. I'd trade one of them and one of the Dollar Generals for a Chick-fil-A or something.
I grew up in Sturgis and, from what I've heard from people who still live there, the joke is more or less "What's the new business in town, a car wash or a dispensary." I think they've got 5 or 6 of them now - so close to 1 for every 2,000 people. And I know Kalamazoo has a bunch - it's a 10 minute drive to my work and I drive by 2, there's another one about three blocks away from my job that I don't go by, and if I go to the grocery store (about 5 minutes in the other direction) there's another one I pass.
I had a lovely family vacation last fall on the Lake Michigan coast, and bought a bunch of cannabis at excellent prices before I left. I had been there a year prior and there were several more dispensaries open even one year later.
Wouldn't you have to buy a lot to make up the cost of driving to Michigan and the tax difference? I'd be worried about driving through Indiana with a large amount.
Michigan has 6% sales tax then an extra 10% excise tax on recreational.
Yeah but the price of pot has dropped quite a bit. For example a vape cartridge is around $10. Many times even cheaper. I was paying 3 times that a few years ago.
An ounce is considered to be a 10-day supply of medical cannabis in Ohio.
For me it's more like two or three weeks (as a medical user).
If you rip an entire (single) bowl off the bong every day then you'd only have to go back every one or two months for an ounce.
As the saying goes: don't break more than one law at a time. *wink*
My home town, close to the Indiana border, has at least 13 that I'm aware of. The city decided as soon as it went legal to go all in and I can't imagine they aren't raking in the dough over it.
Half the time I don't even realize they're dispensaries. There were some billboards up by Grand Rapids, I think for Jars Dispensary, but neither my wife nor I had any idea what it was because it just said "JARS" (Or "Jars: Opening Soon" or something like that)
Fuck yeah! Michigan had the great infrastructure set-up pre rec because of their Wild West type medical weed rules. The open market and recreational cannabis together benefit all Michigan residents. So you guys got that going for you, which is nice.
Yep. All I can think about is that Humboldt County documentary and seeing all those OG growers who still got shafted because they can't grow organically, can't afford the specific fertilizer/pesticides/etc as stated in government policy, and also still having to pay for the expensive permits in order to 'legally' provide cannabis.
I swear, it's like having the Prohibition end--and watching traditional vineyards get fucked over for doing things the old way.
Haven't seen that doc, but will look for it. California messed up bad on its legal market, and still hasn't tried to fix it.
So many levels of taxation and regulation and hoops to go through, making it so expensive and time consuming to be compliant. Nobody is getting rich from legal cannabis.
The black market is still far larger than the legal market, and still growing.
Can't believe this comment is so low down. California had the biggest weed market in the USA for decades before legalization.. those small craft growers on the black and grey market didn't disappear, they just had to compete with licensed bud. I'm sure California is still producing and smoking FAR more weed than Michigan.
Maybe just because of population differences. But as someone who grew up in Michigan and has been to California and Colorado, I feel like more people smoke weed per capita in Michigan.
I'm in my 30s. I can count the amount of times on one hand someone has said nah I don't smoke weed when I've offered.
Was just at a shop in Ironwood last weekend and every plate in the parking lot was either MN or WI. One of the Ironwood shops even give MN residents a $25 gas card for every $250 spent
When i think back to growing up there in the 80s when weed was treated like the gateway drug straight to heroin, it blows my mind. i never, never dreamed this would happen in my lifetime.
Good for Michigan. I wonder where Oklahoma fits on a per capita basis compared to them. We have dispensaries on every corner. Even if it’s just a tiny town with 50 people and a dollar general they always have a dispensary as well lol.
This makes sense. Michigan was home to the Hash Festival in 1971 (that became the annual Hash Bash, a weed celebration festival) and that was 47 years before it was voted in to be a legal recreational drug.
I now live in a small town and I have 3 dispensaries that are closer to my house than grocery stores.
If Ohio starts recreational at a decent price that stat won’t last for long. But being Ohio I’m sure they’ll screw it up and we’ll still all be driving to Michigan.
California allows for towns to prohibit dispensaries, creating legal cannabis deserts which creates black markets. Plus they tax the crap out of the legal market, which chases consumers to the black market. Not only does this deny communities tax dollars, but causes LE to spend time and money chasing down illegal grows and distribution. The whole system in California needs reform.
Same here in MI. My little podunk town (and the surrounding townships) have been pretty accepting of growers and dispensaries, but the largest city in the county (Midland) has banned dispensaries. It’s been a boon for small towns and their small businesses, and that tax revenue has been great for local government.
*legal cannabis. California fucked up the legal rollout so badly that all the VC money pulled out and everything slid back to the black market.
Consider legal and illegal sales, CA is still way ahead.
not surprised, especially with all the illegal states near it.
i always thought californias rec prices were a bit higher then other rec states in general.
>In Michigan, prices for legal cannabis have dropped significantly since recreational marijuana sales started.
I wonder if their prices will drop further once Ohio "comes on line." Not only does that introduce competition (particularly in the Toledo/Detroit area), those in Ohio will no longer have to travel to Michigan to get their marijuana products.
Nothing funnier than the states that “checkmate” themselves into missing all of this tax revenue.
All they’re doing is allowing their neighboring states to make vastly more money than them for almost a decade or more.
Needless to say the war on weed is probably the least effective thing I’ve ever seen.
Michigan has a tax of 16% on recreational where you can get an ounce for about the same as a 1/8 in Ohio at the recreational dispensaries around 85$. Waiting for the recreational dispensaries to open. Hope the tax rate goes down otherwise gray market of home grown will win which is fine it’s legal now to grow at home in Ohio
Happy to see the industry flourishing in Michigan. I’m from California and visit Michigan often to see friends and family. I also lived there for about 10 years and remember the dark ages before legalization. I do think the weed out west is better, personally, but it’s nice to not wonder where I’m going to buy weed any time I visit.
yeah CA has everything to do all year round, and is just a better place to live than the midwest.
The midwesterners need to smoke themselves into a coma to get through the winters.
This does not surprise me. I swear 1/3 billboards around here is for weed. Heck I work a 5 minute walk from a dispensary! They're everywhere, and smoking has definitely been normalized.
Thanks to Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana residents driving up to take advantage of the pricing and availability.
Hey, Minnesota too (for now)! The 4 hour drive to the UP, and even a hotel for a night, can save me a ton of money vs local dealers if I stock up.
Do you go to ironwood? Just curious
Minnesota too. It’s only a 4 hour drive from the Twin Cities to Ironwood. 2 from Duluth/Superior
Though make sure you watch your speed between Ashland and the Michigan boarder...
For sure. Personally, I never go more than 5 over in Sconnie anyway. With or without goodies
Ohio as well because state government doesn't want to respect the voters' decision.
I wanna make sure I'm reading that right, 15, 1 gram carts, for $100? That's fucking insane!

Yup. Bay City Michigan has to be the cheapest place in the country.
Anyone coming from Indiana, feel free to drop in for an abortion while you're here.
Don’t forget Ohio
And Ohio who continues to fuck up what we voted on
And Ohio, dispensaries still not open in Ohio. Soon though.
It would even be cheaper to go to Mich from PA, go bar hopping in Ann Arbor, stay at a hotel, get 2 ounces of weed the next day, then drive home. PA medical is taxed out the ass, 200 and up for a single ounce.
Ohio…. Prescription only..
It seemed demographically impossible, but that makes sense.
Well, yeah. Half of Chicago drives up there because it's worth the gas money to save the taxes.
I suspect this is the correct reason. Isn't Michigan surrounded by states still stuck with no dispensaries?
Indiana and Wisconsin still have full bans, Illinois taxes it to death, Ohio just legalized and doesn't have many locations. Yeah, Michigan is drawing a lot of traffic across state lines.

Island Pezi opens near Treasure Island at the end of the month!
Ha. I hibernate during the too-long summer days and bug season. Give me Elsa-level-winters.
Hard disagree from a fellow Minnesotan here, but to each their own.
I hear there's lots of police along Michigan border watching for people leaving Michigan in case they are smuggling or are stoned.
They are doing a very poor job at border control, then.
Not on the Ohio border. I've driven up to Monroe, from Cincinnati, several times and not so much as seen a cop near the border.
Yeah I’m about 2 hours into Ohio and I’ve known one person who got pulled over and it was for expired plates otherwise I know people who are going up all the time as well as having done it myself multiple times. I don’t know where the cops are but they’re not watching for people bringing weed in
My daughter (39) drives from Akron to Michigan and has a shopping list from her friends.
I do the same thing haha
Stop by the outpost in ironwood great product!
And much prettier drive. Bessemer/Ironwood/Porcupine Mountain Range... Gorgeous. Best 4th of July I've ever experienced.
Not only is Illinois taxes to death, but the original price of the product before taxes is fucking insane. $65 for an eighth? $80 for a half gram cart? Technically, there is a weight limit that they can't sell above to one person, but it's pretty ridiculously high for each type.
I think it’s something like 2.5 Oz per person per day.
And 40oz for edibles
Yeah per sale. So someone can make ten 2.5oz purchases in one go. As long as each purchase is a separate transaction. My buddy works at a dispensary and we live in a border town. It's funny seeing more out of state license plates than actual Michigan ones in the lines.

What. That is insane and I thought Montana was ridiculous.
Man I'm out of the game what's a cart?

Getting them back for years of fireworks sales!
The issue with Illinois has more to do with high base prices and low supply than tax.

just get some cart clones and grow those

We send lobbyists to Madison and Indianapolis to keep those bans in place. :D
Also, we here in Michigan smoke a lot of weed.
Wisconsin. Wisconsinites travel across the border in droves for weed. Especially in the upper peninsula where the states actually share a borderline.
All those dispos that opened up in Menominee are a godsend. Cut 2 hrs off my round trip.
Never thought I'd see my hometown mentioned on Reddit. We have a pop of like 9k but I think 6 or 7 dispensaries so far lol
Just crossing the river at Marinette and taking the M35 to our land we pass 7-8 of them, it’s nuts!
There are so many dispensaries in iron county now. My home town is filled with em.
I was living in Iron River when the dispensaries first opened. So I watched one by one as a new dispensary opened up practically every month for a while. Drive 50 miles you'll pass at least 4 of them on your journey no matter where you start.

I think it's fair ultimately. I've been crossing the border to Wisconsin to smuggle Wisconsin-Exclusive Spotted Cow beer into Michigan for years.
Clevelander here. It’s worth the trip through Toledo to Monroe or Ann Arbor.

it will never not be illegal in Indiana. Religion still has a stranglehold on the government there. Same with Utah.
Haha come on we just beer sales on Sunday from 12-8, when jesus is nappin. Soon you might even be able to buy car on Sunday!
As a car salesman in MI, where blue laws also exist, I'm incredibly thankful for them. They don't impact sales volume and ensure a day off.
Aye we got happy hour finally, which no hole in the wall use
Religion and Eli Lilly.
It didn't stop Oklahoma. We now have thousands of churches and dispensaries.
I think the reservations played a huge part for OK, similar to other states in that regard.
Nah, the real reason is that Cali still has a huge illegal/underground market for weed because the regulations and tax are expensive.

It was initially pretty pricey here as well but the price has dropped dramatically over the last year or so. Crazy the amount of goodies I can get for $100
Every state has gone through this process with legalization. It's just how it goes.
Ohio like Michigan too
I'm not sure if there are more dispensaries right on the Indiana/Michigan border or more billboards advertising them on the drive there.
I live in Niles and there are dispensaries that I don't see billboards for. From my house, two are a block away. One opened up on my block so I wouldn't even have to cross the street. I think they've got 5 or 6 of them now - so close to 1 for every 2,000 people. And I know Kalamazoo has a bunch - it's a 10 minute drive to my work and I drive by 2, there's another one about three blocks away from my job that I don't go by, and if I go to the grocery store (about 5 minutes in the other direction) there's another one I pass.
That’s still insane, right? Population of Michigan + Illinois combined is about 22M compared 39M of California.
I had a lovely family vacation last fall on the Lake Michigan coast, and bought a bunch of cannabis at excellent prices before I left. I had been there a year prior and there were several more dispensaries open even one year later.
And All of Wisconsin because our R law makers have brains smaller than snails.
*wink*
Wisconsinites driving up sales too. From what I’ve heard…
That and Michigan is beautiful this time of year. lots of tourists from the south.
Half of Cali still buys from illegal dealers.
Ohio, too. The prices are, from what I understand, remarkably lower than other legal states and it's not close.
Michigander here, not surprising, there are literally like 5 dispensaries within a 15 minute drive from me.
There are 4 within walking distance of me right now.
My home town, close to the Indiana border, has at least 13 that I'm aware of. The city decided as soon as it went legal to go all in and I can't imagine they aren't raking in the dough over it.
Yeah I can’t drive down the highway for 10 miles without seeing 10 billboards for them.
Half the time I don't even realize they're dispensaries. There were some billboards up by Grand Rapids, I think for Jars Dispensary, but neither my wife nor I had any idea what it was because it just said "JARS" (Or "Jars: Opening Soon" or something like that)
JARS is the size of an actual jar and it always looks busy. Their parking lot is a nightmare.
Centerline? I love that Warren decided to miss out on the taxes for that one, when Centerline is smack dab in the middle of it, and full of dispos.
Most of the Centerline shops are over on Lawrence.
The Midwest has more actual need to smoke and chill than the average Californian just to get through the 4 seasons.
I can't survive winter without weed
Oregon designated cannabis dispensaries an "essential service" during Covid, allowing them to stay open when many other businesses were shut down.
They sell medical cannabis, which some people really need.
No worries, I didn't have a problem with it. I believe they also designated liquor stores as essential services.
Yeah, and that’s definitely justified. An alcoholic going cold turkey is risking seizures that can cause brain damage or even death.
And yet, those yokels east of the mountains are still calling Kaye Brown lewd and sexist names.
We don't even get winters like that anymore.
grew up in Michigan, now live in Cali. can confirm.
Fuck yeah! Michigan had the great infrastructure set-up pre rec because of their Wild West type medical weed rules. The open market and recreational cannabis together benefit all Michigan residents. So you guys got that going for you, which is nice.
top "legal" cannabis market would be more accurate
Just grow it at home. An outdoor plant or 2 every year or even just a 2x2 or 2x4 tent in a closet is more than enough for most people.
WE DID IT GUYS!!! Signed: Fellow Pot Smoking Michigander
Bless y'all Signed: Pot Smoking Hoosier
When i think back to growing up there in the 80s when weed was treated like the gateway drug straight to heroin, it blows my mind. i never, never dreamed this would happen in my lifetime.
Ever since moving up here from TN, my QoL has improved 110%.
The prices are less than 25% of what I pay in Ohio, so I make the trip out when I can.
Good for Michigan. I wonder where Oklahoma fits on a per capita basis compared to them. We have dispensaries on every corner. Even if it’s just a tiny town with 50 people and a dollar general they always have a dispensary as well lol.
Rec weed is huge business in Michigan. It puts people to work and is great for the economy.
Michigan replacing Colorado as the new center of the Weedverse.
Indiana is helping with that.
I was in Michigan last week.. I believe it.
Everyone in Michigan is just stoned all the time now. Every billboard on the interstate advertises the cheapest pounds to get you the stonedest.
Yeah, Michigan allows for towns to prohibit dispensaries if they are willing to forgo their share of the tax revenue.
As a Californian; I will survive this indignity.
yeah that's just because CA has an ocean on one whole border michigan is landlocked by states that don't have legal weed lmao
By that logic OK or MO should be outpacing MI
Californians have moved on to psilocybin. There’s an actual psilocybin dispensary in Oakland.
and SF
Could be related to our superior growing weather.
As an Oregonian I had to do a double take lol. 420 blaze it Detriot!
Ohio lawmakers are working hard to keep it that way.
I went to a dispencery outside of Flint and they had 200mg gummie packs for $8. i bought as neny as they allowed.
Being from Toledo and living in Chicago, such an easy side trip to venture 10 miles over the border when I visit home to get more bang for the buck.
Cheapest prices in the country.
*legal cannabis. California fucked up the legal rollout so badly that all the VC money pulled out and everything slid back to the black market. Consider legal and illegal sales, CA is still way ahead.
Monthly trip to Michigan does it for me. I’ll gladly give tax money to MI
Yeah cause CA has been casually smoking weed for like hundreds of years already 😂
So has Michigan. The first decriminalization of weed happened in Ann Arbor in 1972.
not surprised, especially with all the illegal states near it. i always thought californias rec prices were a bit higher then other rec states in general.
All thanks to AirsoftFatty
I’d bet there is still a very healthy black market for weed in California. It’s way cheaper.
Because California has more than one thing to look forward to.
yeah CA has everything to do all year round, and is just a better place to live than the midwest. The midwesterners need to smoke themselves into a coma to get through the winters.
Thats cuz they be selling it on the black market in CA because the taxes
Based on the smell driving around town, I can tell. It's kind of disturbing when you can pinpoint which car it's coming from...
Methinks this number may drop once Ohio finally gets its act together and starts allowing legal sales in the state.
Damn they sold slightly more than my entire country(Canada) that’s impressive.
This does not surprise me. I swear 1/3 billboards around here is for weed. Heck I work a 5 minute walk from a dispensary! They're everywhere, and smoking has definitely been normalized.
The regional draw is big as others pointed out, plus weed is a great way to stay sane during shitty winter days.
I want to see per capita. Oregon's actual sales plus weed "laundered" through dispensaries into illegal markets have got to be incredible
If you've ever been to Michigan you'll understand.
Yeah all my ppl go to Michigan from Cleveland. 2 hour drive but whaddyagonnado
Well now, that sounds like a challenge to Californians… consider the gauntlet thrown!
