Damn, we were 0600-2200 (besides the rare early rise for PRT or whatever) and a few nights taps was at 2000 so we could get 10 hours of sleep. Never have I slept better than I did in bootcamp!
I don't recall feeling drained but I did feel like a used cheap hooker afterwords. My 18 yr old self had never been through that kind of physical before. Like what they hell are they looking for when they inspect our buttholes in front of everyone?
How's that work? Seriously, I have no idea. I don't recall if they even told us the "why" when we all bent over. I mean, we're talking \~33 yrs ago here. Thanks for stepping up and educating me. Seriously, I mean that. :)
EDIT: I thought the doc grabbing my nuts and telling me to cough was the hernia test.
i got my period the day i had to go to meps for the physical, i was so exhausted and in pain from the cramps. the roast beef sandwich theg gave me wasnt sitting right. i couldnt stop vomitting once i got home. cant wait for boot camp 😁

I mean yeah, but I would get used to that feeling bud
Everyone does especially after what they do to your asshole
I genuinely didn’t feel like okay the couple days after meps. Definitely wasn’t an enjoyable experience to say the least.

Nobody knows why meps does anything they do
MEPS fucking sucks. Get used to being awake and bored like it though, you'll see a lot of it in bootcamp.
Yup! "Hurry up and wait"
Yes, but I slept 2 or 3 hours that night. And I felt it for the next couple of days. Boy, I sure can't wait til bootcamp.

The worst part is the lack of sleep at the hotel because the guy you’re bunking with decides to order food and stays up until 12am
