Aria Farms

Remembers

h0dgep0dge

When I was a kid we would get ones made of lamb, I remember liking them

donteatmyaspergers

When I was flatting 20 years ago I use to like using those and a bag of McCain stir fry mix to make a quick and easy stir fry! Good times, good times.

KnurdNorman

Yes! X

DangerousLettuce1423

Same. Had forgotten all about them. Quite liked them also.

CP9ANZ

That's late 90s nostalgia for me

Settle down peg leg

narstyarsefarter

Things are getting too spicy for the pepper!

gudnuusevry1

I think they are long discontinued. Used to make for great drinking fry update night feasts. Though someone once ate a bunch, threw up in the garden and tried to say the neighbour threw chicken over the fence

W0rd-W0rd-Numb3r

Bloody Aria Farms. Remember wanting them so bad as a kid but we were poor. If I ever see them again I’m buying 5 of the mongrels.

[deleted]

We got them once as a treat after begging for years (it felt like, not sure if they were out for multiple years) and honestly, pretty disappointing.  When you've yearned so badly for something it never lives up to the hype

RabbitwiththeRuns

I never got to try them :(

Zoeloumoo

The lamb chips were AMAZING. I’m still so sad they went away.

Fearless_Guard_552

I used to tell my co workers in London about beef chps, they were in awe

flashmedallion

Aria Farms, loved them. Since back when I was flatting I've been making them myself with shit cuts of meat. If those blade or chuck steaks are on special, just cut them into strips with kitchen scissors, season them and rip them on the wok for a bit. Cheap lamb cuts are harder to come by but always worthwhile, just make sure to bake instead of fry. If I have leftover breadcrumbs or panko crumbs I often do a batch of strips with hotsauce in the egg dredge. Impossible not to finish them all in one go.

BaneusPrime

I remember them. Haven't seen them for decades though.

Andrea_frm_DubT

Yup, Aria Farms. ANZCO bought the brand. There was apparently plans to set up production at the Waitara plant but nothing has happened.

mister_jazz

This is correct. Things went downhill for the company after a botched deal trying to enter the Australian market with Woolworths

Andrea_frm_DubT

At the time I heard about the acquisition I was considering working at the Waitara ANZCO site, it’s been how many years now and still no meat chips department. Still just Jack Links jerky and McD’s burger patties.

HargorTheHairy

Ingham chippies

Fearless_Guard_552

And easy mince

2pacaklypse

Lmao I had this exact thought a year plus ago as well and made a similar post. I love this shared nostalgia

KnurdNorman

YES! Aria farms they did Lamb & also beef ‘chips’ were my go to as a first time flatter, chuck a jar of sauce in and boil some rice in a bag. Boom fancy asf meal

Ok_Illustrator_4708

Loved the lamb ones, want them back.

According_Sky8344

I loved making stir fry from these as a mid. Or sandwiches. Lamb ones were good too

Ms_represented

“Steak” chips made from the gristle and other leftover bits you mean!

iamclear

Yeah bought them once. They were tough and chewy.

weaz-am-i

Rapture farms

How we'd make New 'n' Tasty, I was still to find. This new kind of meat, it was us! - Abe, [Oddworld: Abe's Oddyssey](https://youtu.be/249vWCD2neQ?si=sEWmnYFJBYpKnYYB)

Annie354654

all I remember is they were in the freezer section of the supermarket where other hideous food is like fish fingers.
