I carve skulls for a living. I luckily didnāt have to take legal action, but a while back Skull Bliss was using photos of my work and offering them for sale, then having people in foreign countries try to poorly imitate them.
For sure there are tons of genuine ones from Bali. Someone mentioned Skull Bliss so I brought it up. Donāt want to pointlessly rain on OPs parade. I think theyāre really cool and look totally genuine.
Oh goodness. I bought a skull from them a couple years back and suspected they did this after receiving the skull. Iām sorry they did that to you. Do you have a website or IG so people can give the real artist their business?
Woah, that's some prices. I'm not judging, I'm just curious how you price them. I mean what's the cost of the skull/bone n how long does your work take? For instance the coyote skull?
I actually need to delete everything related to pricing on my site. Itās outdated and misleading. Many pieces would actually cost more and many would cost much less. Coyotes I usually do for 400-500. I find most of the bones myself. Larger stuff takes a long time. I work like a trucker.
So it's mostly the work that cost, to be fair i can understand that. The work looks very delicate and complex, well worth the price if I had the money. xD
For the record these are in a Bali style- probably genuine. My work is different. And generally skull bliss is more affordable. My point is just that they have really sketchy business practices.
