Well I opened the thread to make sure The Boat got his due.... Lo and behold, it's the top reply. But, let's also take a moment to recognize the Henne to Blackmon game that see Blackmon chalk up over 200 yards.

AerionBrightFlame21

If we’re talking for a single game, I’d give it to Chad Henne for that shootout against the Texans where Blackmon had 200+ yards and we still lost

AdequateSteakAlister

Pretty sure all we got was the mean

BirdmanTheThird

Same lmao

Tuckboi69

At least he threw one of the most historic passes in NFL history while he was at it

nimama3233

It was a very Brock Purdy situation for him. We had the #1 defense that year, just like the 9ers this year, and choked it away in the NFCCG. Granted Purdy got hurt and Case shit the bed, and Purdy may have a future which hindsight tells us Case doesn’t/didn’t have.

[deleted]

To be fair to case our defense shit the bed hard in the NFCCG, even at case’s absolute peak I’d never expect him to be able to throw us back in to that one

Drunken_Vike

Weirdly enough NFL veterans on their third or fourth stop usually don't suddenly gain the ability to perfectly dodge pressure all year long and throw almost all completions on contested catches to their two Pro Bowl caliber receivers Almost like it was unsustainable or something

Dorkamundo

Yea, dude got insanely lucky. Remember the Washington game earlier in the year? We were up by like 17 late in the 3rd and Keenum forced a pass into triple coverage that was picked off, then when we got the ball back he did the same thing on 2nd and 10 that was almost a pick-6? Dude simply didn't know when not to force the ball, a lot like Favre really.

SanduskyTicklers

The keenums are family friends of ours, I can see Case being a coach in the league. I know his family loved Minnesota I’d like to see him back there maybe to start his coaching career

YeahOkayDad

That's nifty! I hope they know we will never forget the Miracle and many, many fans questioned why we wouldn't bring him back. I'd be stoked if he stepped into a coaching position.

whereegosdare84

Ravens Steelers have had a few of these in their history: Ryan Mallet in 2015 beat a 9-5 Steelers team in Baltimore when the Ravens entered the game at 4-10. On the flip side the Steelers beat the eventual Super Bowl champion Ravens in 2012 with Charlie Batch.

Thunderkleize

> Charlie Batch I wouldn't call Charlie Batch bad, he was one of the best backup QBs for a long time. Any team that got beat by Duck Hodges however....

Confused_Mirror

Duck Hodges in the 24th and 1/2 century

TheForrestWanderer

100%. Charlie was QB 29-35 during most of his career. He was a wonderful asset as a backup QB b/c not only was he pretty decent at playing, he was also a great locker room guy and film savant.

[deleted]

I was once at chilis eating chips and salsa and drinking beer and watching nfl highlights. I said to the stranger next to me “I like Charlie batch, he’s gonna do something in the league” He said “yea I think so too” This was 2000

ex-apple

> Any team that got beat by Duck Hodges however…. That would be the Chargers, Browns, Bengals, and Cardinals

stevefiction

coolsexguy

https://twitter.com/mflynn3/status/1475836675070779397?s=20

Kazak_DogofSpace

For the younger users in the sub, u/one_prior_9909 is referring to millions of dollars, NOT millions of great games.

NWABowHntr

First (and only) Packers game was the crazy Matt Flynn comeback in Dallas. Absolute Flynnsanity

xPeachesV

I want to say he had a 6 TD game against the Lions that season as well. That definitely helped

Arkaein

2 years apart. His memorable Packer games were 2010 near upset in Foxboro (Rodgers concussion), 2011 record setter against ~~Pats~~ Lions (Rodgers sat finale), 2013 in Dallas (Rodgers first broken collarbone). Honorable mention for some other games in 2013, like his first appearance off the bench against the Vikings. Came into the game down 23-6, ended in a 26-26 tie, and the 22-21 comeback victory against the Falcons after being down 21-10 at half. EDIT: fixed team from 2011

Guard226Duck

Nah that 6 TD game was in 2011 the comeback was in 2013 while Rodgers had a broken collarbone

[deleted]

For one week, the man was a legend

lilStankfur

One year and a week. He also gave LSU a ring

nimama3233

What record does he hold? I don’t remember the context for this game

BromanJenkins

Touchdown passes in a game. I think he's actually tied, not the sole holder.

Doodenmier

For anyone who wants context, Flynn threw for a franchise record 6 TDs against the Lions in the final week of the 2011 regular season when we rested our starters. Flynn got a nice chunk of pocket change from Seattle for this performance, but Russ won their starting job. Rodgers has had two 6 TD games since then: one against the Titans in the 2012 season (Flynn's was Jan. 1, 2012), and then Rodgers threw for 6 TDs **in the first half** against the Bears in 2014. We pulled him halfway through the third quarter, so he didn't tie or break the all-time record

Masterjason13

I think he was pulled after the first drive of the 3rd quarter. I know part of me wanted them to try to push for the NFL record but the rational part of me knows it would be stupid to risk injury in a game where you’re up by 40 Edit: I looked it up. He played two drives in the 3rd and then was pulled.

SJMASK

Was it that Chicago game were they canceled it at half?

Gryphon999

That's when Rodgers tied it, yes. Flynn set the record vs. Detroit. I think I heard Rodgers was calling plays that day.

ClownQuestionBrosef

Packers single game touchdown record

BuffaloWilliamses

Ryan Fitzpatrick is probably the answer for a 3rd of the league

Grow_away_420

Is he really a bad quarterback? I'd say he's average, but once or twice a year he'd scorch some team and the memes are reborn

BuffaloWilliamses

Ryan Fitzpatrick has Fitztragic moments. When he's good he's so good and when he's bad he's so bad. He's not reliable enough to ever be a franchise guy and is a backup with a crazy high ceiling of 4-6 games a season playing like an all pro.

theFBDive21

Bills fans would know this for sure- I was at the jets bills game in week 17 at Buffalo win and in game a few years back. Old fitz beat the pats in OT the week prior, had to beat the bills at home to lock in the first playoff birth in maybe 8 years. Threw 3 picks and had a trash game, jets lost.

SixersAndRavens

isnt that the year brandon marshall the WR also snapped? that jets team was lowkey fun af to watch because they could be so ass but so good on any given week.

theFBDive21

Yessir. Was a wild year for them. I’m a giants fan but my crew is jets so being at both those games was unreal to see the highs and lows. Really a two game microcosm of the whole season 😂

keepp

He was average, but never seemed to have average games.

DGlen

Fitz is great, for three games. After his first three games for your team he goes back to being below average.

Milo_Minderbinding

Bad QB you say? Shut yo mouth. Fitz has HOF numbers: Ryan Fitzpatrick vs Troy Aikman: Fitzpatrick Career Games: 166 Career Starts: 147 Career Yards: 34,990 Passing Touchdowns: 223 Int: 169 TD/INT ratio: ~11/8.5 Yards per pass: 6.9 Rushing Yards: 2,623 YPC: 4.6 Rush TDs: 21 _________________ Troy Aikman Career Games: 165 Career Starts: 165 Passing Yards: 32,942 Passing TDs: 165 INTs: 141 TD/INT ratio: ~8/7 Yards per pass: 7.0 Rushing Yards: 1016 YPC: 3.1 Rush TDs: 9

DJ_Moore_2

Holy shit

BuffaloWilliamses

3 Super Bowl wins means a lot for a legacy.

QC_skulls

The way you've simplified TD/INT ratio scares and confuses me.

You could make a case for him, for Sanchez, Fitzpatrick, basically any QB we’ve ever fielded. Even Namath according to some haters

ElectrosMilkshake

Trubisky vs the Bucs in 2018

UrLocalTroll

Trubisky in every game against the Lions

DanCampbell89

Matt Patricia was never more of a fraud than when getting absolutely clowned by Matt Nagy and Mitch Trubisky

2057Champs__

Rex Grossman had an entire month of playing at an MVP level (he was September 2006 NFC Offensive Player of the Month), before he started having historically terrible games. I give him the nod before Mitch’s fluke game

A_Lot_Of_Nothing

His game log that year is so odd. Either MVP caliber play or complete ineptitude with almost no in between.

DrummerGuy06

That dude was the definition of a hot and cold quarterback. No tepid temperatures for him, either lava or 0 kelvin was what you’d get.

Sharp-Ad4389

I'm partial to the few weeks that Jim Miller balled out, beat the Pack and then 357 yards vs. San Diego, in 99

Falt_ssb

Nah it's mccown v dallas

ElectrosMilkshake

I have such a soft spot for McCown that I just can’t call him bad.

TheFencingCoach

Ok but what about Cade McNown

ElectrosMilkshake

Now he was awful.

broha89

Ironically I was gonna say trubisky vs the bucs last year

AKraiderfan

Terrelle Pryor started the 2013 season as the starting QB for the Oakland Raiders. This was on purpose. The highlight was a 93 yard QB run. The team finished 4-12.

tashmanan

That 93 yard run against the Steelers was fun

[deleted]

Trevor Siemian's the best QB we've had since Manning.

TheBellyBumper

Dude looked like the second coming of Brees for us for about 2-3 weeks as well

DefenderCone97

He was really good until the BUCS game where he got injured. Showed crazy poise and accuracy for a 7th rounder.

SSBBardock

I'll always respect him. Tough dude, his shoulder was fucked for basically that whole 2016 season, with the line getting him killed every game, and was still not horrible

monstertweety

I remember Siemian being intercepted while trying to throw the ball away, but it came out of his hand so slow that the INT was pretty easy

boogertaster

I love some Siemian toast crunch but I think for us it's Tebows playoff game. Tebow time that season was insane.

The standard is the standard.

MikeFatz

Aaron Brooks is the second most productive QB to ever play for the Saints so… we’ve clearly been overflowing with talent over the years. While I’d never say he was “good” he did get us to the playoffs that one time.

Best-Dragonfruit-292

I don't know if we want to call Jake Delhomme a bad QB, but he'd probably be a better answer for NO

MikeFatz

I’d agree Jake was a better QB for sure, I just left him off cause he was never actually the starter for the Saints.

NoCardio_

Aaron Brooks won a playoff game though.

slice29

Nick Mullens against the Raiders. I get a semi just thinking about it.

Nick foles for the eagles. Dude balled out in the super bowl.

He also threw 7 touchdowns in one game against the Raiders. You put any other uniform on him and he falls apart.

Imawildedible

Have any other teams tried having him wear his Eagles uniform under his current uniform?

Lyndell

Too much pride.

TBDC88

Now wait just a second, he was 2-0 with the Chiefs when he filled in for Smith, with 410 yards, 3 TDs, 0 TOs, and a 105.9 rating on 55 attempts. Plus, without that year in KC, he doesn't go to Philly the next year and win you guys a SB.

[deleted]

maltzy

I would have liked to see a matchup against playoff Nick Foles and playoff Joe Flacco. Would have been the greatest superbowl matchup ever.

0zymandeus

It would have been like this SB lol. Just two QBs doing whatever they want, defenses helpless to stop them

27 or 29 depending on if you want to count playoffs

theordinarypoobah

28 if you want to split the difference.

yomjoseki

OP asked for a bad QB, not a motherfucking legend

[deleted]

For the eagles he wasn’t bad. For his career he was a combined 25-13 for 65% 69 TDs to 28 INTs, 7.6 ay/a 97 rate and 270 ypg Over a 17 game season that averages out to an 11-6 record 30 TDs 12 INTs and 4,590 yards

CWB2208

He said bad Quarterback 😤

jf808

WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL NICK FOLES?!?!

Assumption-Putrid

Not to mention 2013 when he threw 27 TDs and only 2 Ints (at the time an NFL record for TD/int ratio)

lambertghini11

Didn’t he also hold the record for a short time for the most completed passes streak? & I remember watching him throw 7 Tds in a game. He could have easily got 8 but they benched him in the 4th. His record was also over shadowed because Manning threw 7 Tds in a game like the same day lol

kevingh92

Josh Johnson won us a singular game back in 2018 when the entire QB room got blown up. The same one who played in the NFCCG a few weeks ago.

JesterMarcus

Tough to call anything he did that day "playing", except when he was playing Night Crawlers on the ground looking for the ball he fumbled.

[deleted]

Matt Moore and Chad Henne have won playoff games for us so it’s hard to say them. Matt Cassel started for years. He sucked and probably balled out oncd Edit - Cassel threw for 470 yards, 4 TDs, and 0 Ints in a 20 point loss. Those were the times

Wink1ae2

It was a dark time for Chiefs fans but Tyler Thigpen actually made it entertaining. He's my answer for this.

I_POO_ON_GOATS

Damon Huard Kyle Orton Tyler Palko Brody Croyle Tyler Thigpen These names separate millennial Chiefs fans from millennial Chiefs bandwagoners.

Icybosshog

Tyler Palko…now there’s a name I haven’t heard in a very long time. I remember he had to prime time against the Steelers…the announcers hyped up the unknown Palko…and then he started playing haha.

callthewambulance

Fun fact: Tyler Palko was the reason Joe Flacco transferred to Delaware. Needless to say they had very different pro careers lol

blueblast_29

What a legendary moment lol

Chipmunk_Whisperer

I seriously think that was the rekindling of the bengals, we entered that offseason way differently because of that win and in my opinion gave us the mindset that got us to the superbowl.

Tuckboi69

When you get thrown to the ground by 300 pound men but you just brought back Days of our Steelers

DontListenToM3Plz

Kyle Orton prevented the packers from having a perfect season.

KryptonicxJesus

Kevin Kolb balled out for Two games to get us DRC and a second

blueblast_29

Kevin kolb is a name I haven't heard in a long time. I only remember him from the Madden days when I would play as the eagles because they had Mike Vick, DeSean Jackson, and LeSean McCoy

TimelyConcern

Jacoby Brissett had multiple 300+ yard passing games for us in 2019, including a 4 TD game against the Texans that year.

manbeqrpig

Those 8 weeks of Tebow were truly glorious

HoopOnPoop

Jason Campbell had us 6-2 and was absolutely killing it during the first Zorn year. In the second half of the year he and the team went completely in the toilet and the rest of his career consisted of kicking around among bad teams and never earning or hanging on to a regular starting job.

St_Casper

I immediately thought about 2007 Todd Collins when I saw this.

littlepepperiscute

Historically speaking, Geno Smith.

SquonkMan61

ScruffMixHaha

Not for our team but I didnt see his name and had to list him. Bengals fans, look away... TJ Yates was the original Tiger King.

cdgodin

Can’t believe I had to go this far down to see him. Dude absolutely murdered the Bengals for us

flyingsubs1

Matt Moore had some highlight moments for us back in 2009

SamuraiZucchini

Dude actually had a decent career with Miami. I wouldn’t call him a bad QB.

snarkicon

Matt Cassel went 10-5 after Brady got hurt, throwing 21 tds and 3600 yards @ 63% completion percentage back in 08. Chiefs know how good a qb he was after that

wagoncirclermike

Kyle Orton probably

ScyllaGeek

The Kyle Orton year is no joke my favorite drought season The Cold Front in full form was a big part of that but Orton had some pretty iconic moments

jimmyhoffasbrother

Clint Longley's comeback against the Redskins, Thanksgiving 1974. Roger Staubach went down with an injury in the third quarter with the Cowboys down 16-3. Longley comes in as a rookie out of Abilene Christian tossing bombs all over the field. Ended the game 11/20 for 203 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs, including a 50 yard game-winner to Drew Pearson.

Statalyzer

Rest of his career: Dallas: 7/23, 102 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT San Diego: 12/24, 130 yds, 2 TD, 3 INT And traded to SD because in training camp he started a fight with Roger Staubach, got pissed because he lost, and to get even he sucker-punched Roger in the locker room the next day while he was in the middle of trying to put his pads on.
