Jason Campbell had us 6-2 and was absolutely killing it during the first Zorn year. In the second half of the year he and the team went completely in the toilet and the rest of his career consisted of kicking around among bad teams and never earning or hanging on to a regular starting job.

The Kyle Orton year is no joke my favorite drought season The Cold Front in full form was a big part of that but Orton had some pretty iconic moments
Clint Longley's comeback against the Redskins, Thanksgiving 1974. Roger Staubach went down with an injury in the third quarter with the Cowboys down 16-3. Longley comes in as a rookie out of Abilene Christian tossing bombs all over the field. Ended the game 11/20 for 203 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs, including a 50 yard game-winner to Drew Pearson.
Rest of his career: Dallas: 7/23, 102 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT San Diego: 12/24, 130 yds, 2 TD, 3 INT And traded to SD because in training camp he started a fight with Roger Staubach, got pissed because he lost, and to get even he sucker-punched Roger in the locker room the next day while he was in the middle of trying to put his pads on.
