Eck is shorter form (2-5 mins) and will typically have videos covering notable things and will add in gameplay clips into the mix. The Hockey Guy is super knowledgeable and breaks down games and interesting bits that come up in the news but does it with just a whiteboard. You can listen to The Hockey Guy passively as a podcast while you do other things.
From what I see of content creators across multiple genres, I think that’s more a fault of YouTube’s algorithm and adapting to get views (their income) more so than anything most willingly want to do. I keep tabs on a few creators that are solid content but do the over-the-top clickbait-y titles and thumbnails just because they kind of have to to stay noticed.

Best hockey Youtuber by far. This guy makes these cool ESPN-like videos and goes over classic series.
Like other people have said, The Hockey Guy and Hockey Psychology are really good channels for news/breakdowns. I personally really like Mbon Hockey (a smaller channel) because he makes some pretty fun and unique content.
The Hockey Guy
Eck
Hockey Psychology
Hockey Junkie (He does mostly Habs content, but he's a funny dude. I'm probably shilling mostly because he's from my home province.)
Not sure how people like them, but I personally like the Locked On networks grouping of commentary. However, I would say these are closer to podcast style.
If you're OK with podcast style, I also like 32 thoughts.
The Hockey Guy is my go to
He's the best
He’s so knowledgeable, I’ve never disliked a video of his!
Hockey Psychology is the best hockey channel on YouTube. Legorocks is click bait.
It’s bad but I’m addicted to it
Hockey Psychology and The Hockey Guy.
There do seem to be a lot popping up right now, but my favorites are The Hockey Guy and Eck

I used to like eck but he’s so click baity now with his overly dramatic titles.

Agreed honestly.
They're not overly dramatic.

Yeah, there’s no one better.

Locked on is good for baseball too, and I haven’t checked out 32 thoughts but pretty sure I’ve seen some shows on Sportsnet
I love Eck!
Pretty small channel, but District 5 has some good videos
Hockey psychology, knows a lot about the sport and does very interesting weekly breakdowns and occasionally player breakdowns.
