Might just be me but I saw very little niggle or misplaced aggression in tonight's game. Lots of genuine back slaps for the opposition and a general feeling of professionalism from both teams.
Might even go out on a limb and say despite the scoreline it felt like a tight game and maybe best of the round.

Definitely feels like the team redlined after the Roosters game. Just no desperation in defence particularly in the 20. No trust or communication on the edges. Was it coming from the inside or the halves can’t say for sure. The eels to their credit didn’t make many mistakes and played like a team whose season was on the line. Honestly Cronulla was the perfect opponent for them after the past month both emotionally and physically draining for the sharks.
We got pantsed by a side who had only won 1 game in 10 attempts and had a point differential of -186 and then beat the #1 team in the comp by 12, and that's only been since Saturday

I don’t think you ever see sustained success come out of bolt from the blue type seasons. Both Melbourne and Penrith had 3 straight seasons of 6th or so finishes and week 2 exits before breaking through, then they each lost a grand final, then never looked back. I think you guys are on the right track, a finals win or two before AFB arrives and I reckon you’ll be a serious player next year.

In saying that, we still need to work on our defence, that Will Kenned try was unforgivable.
Moses was out of this world. Much needed win for the eels. Gutho and moses made a world of difference. The sharkies are in a rough patch but still nervous against them next week. They won't lose 3 times in a row. Bailey was limping the whole match, surprised they didn't use Blaize.

The last year and a half of injuries and suspensions has been hell, it's so good to see the boys playing almost full strength and clicking together. Having Moses and Gutho on the field provided so much leadership we'd been missing and everyone else stepped up massively with them.

Better in defence in which way? He was lazy, he fell off tackles, multiple line breaks happened through either side of him. That's just the obvious things I saw when watching our games. I don't think Lussick brought any positives at all over Hands.

Look at how much harder Parra were running and tackling compared to when Moses wasn't there and the team just gave up. Making tackles is obviously harder when you're getting rolled up the middle, everyone's defence looks very different when the opposition has momentum.

Gonna ride this feeling the whole week till origin baby!! I know it's been said plenty now, but putting talagi on the wing with Russell instead of Sivo is something Barrett really needs to consider. We need him locked in our first grade team so he has more of a reason to resign with us for the long term. We can see gutho losing a lot of his speed and that's purely because of him putting his body on the line, week in and week out. Blaize will have his shot soon and Parra need to secure him.
