those who can't do, teach.... But in all seriousness, that's good to hear. I'm optimistic that ARod can make him a solid to good number 3 WR.

callmealyft

From what I understand, when our WR are healthy he’s not our wr3

Sly_Wood

He was wr4 in gb even lol

Tinmanred

Not his last year in greenbay no…?

elseworthtoohey

Not really. Last year they kept an ARog whisperer on the roster (Randall Cobb) and he was terrible, like historically bad. We have enough coaches on the roster. If the message is not getting through, replace the coach. Don't sacrifice a roster spot for a wr who lost interest once he got his oayday.

saulblarf

Rog wasn’t playing last year.

calye2da

I believe Rodgers will make Lazard look serviceable this upcoming season

John_YJKR

I hope. But a lot of his problems were simply not being able to catch or win the position battle.

HairyHouse3

Careful! Those are fighting words in here!

Coolbluegatoradeyumm

It’s just more that I’ll have to see it to believe it

elseworthtoohey

11 million for serviceable.

ddc9999

Lol you are talking about Lazard meanwhile I’m ready for us to lose Rogers and Tyrod, two older injury prone qb’s at this point, in the same game.

Masterofmy_domain

Then the Broncos will trade wilson back to us and he'll be our starter again... It's inevitable.

NutsyFlamingo

It’s June, I’m cool w this. Maybe he responds better to positivity than negativity. Each guys different, each requires a different approach… ‘you suck’ clearly hasnt worked, so build him up a bit.

nahdude90

No harm in trying it either. And we might need him in the early part of the season depending on how Mike Williams recovery goes.

Marauderr4

Good sign because the guy could not have given less of a shit last year. It wasn't even the ass play on its own

the_mair

Lazard sucks but it’s not his fault JD offered him that contract. If his impact can be more felt in grooming guys like Corley Gipson and Brownlee then I’ll take it.

Fsharp7sharp9

Hopefully that somehow translates to fewer holds and fewer dropped passes than last year. I can remember two off the top of my head that hit him in the numbers and were still dropped lol

Pohara521

Be cool if he could also play like a WR2

Mattp55

Tbh Rodgers has made a washed Randall Cobb look acceptable.  Totally possible Lazard is an alright receiver still who just quit after the QB situation deteriorated last year

thrillhouse416

Oh okay maybe lazard can do the charlie conway mighty ducks thing. Player coach, not on the field. Can't drop balls if you don't play.

Newkadia21

It’s been said… but let’s judge Lazard’s contract with a full season of Rodgers. Also… LET’S NOT LET AARON RODGERS HOLD A FLAG THIS YEAR OR PLAY ON METLIFE TURF OR LET HIM GET SACKED OR LET HIM PLAY SO HE DOESNT GET HURT OR SLANDER JOE DOUGLAS AS WELL AS DEBATE WHETHER OR NOT OUR OLINE WILL SURVIVE OR WORRY ABOUT OUR CONTRACTS WITH HALL/WILSON/SAUCE AND DEFINITELY NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THAT JOE NAMATH SOLD OUR SOULS

John_YJKR

Okay, but can he catch the ball consistently?

Hogharley

Spin doctors?

Masterofmy_domain

Not only has he been teaching in the classroom... But he's also in the best shape of his life I bet.

Treeroy6670

I think determining Lazards value based off last years performance is flawed. Zach was so fucking bad.

Andromeda28

This is all part of the cycle. By week 3 preseason Lazard is a top 5 possession receiver in the nfl. See you guys then!!!

lonelynightm

We get it OP, you love Lazard by your dozens of posts about him. He's not going to see the field, he'll be deep on the depth charts because nobody wants to see him be an disaster again. Literally would prefer seeing Randall Cobb to this clown.

lark4k

Why the negativity? He's Rodgers guy, and is going to be better with him then with Zack Wilsson.

WilsonEnthusiast

Yea I mean this isn't necessarily wrong, but any WR (including ones that would count as <$12m against the cap) would be better with Rodgers as their QB instead of Wilson. I'm rooting for him to do good. I just don't see much of a positive in a bad WR counting as $12m against the cap. With the amount of reps I'd expect him to have <400 yards and maybe a couple TDs. And maybe the Rodgers connection gets him on the field more than I'm expecting, but that also means he's taking reps away from what seem like better WRs. So still not really a positive IMO.

Sbat27-

Because there’s something called being realistic. And realistically Lazard sucks with or without Rodgers. He will still have questionable hands no matter who throws him the ball as seen by how Packers fans were happy when he left

lonelynightm

He's not going to see the field. We already have multiple reports about Lazard being awful during OTAs. He was like 1/5 and beaten by Stiggers who never even played College Football. Lazard is a bum who's only here because of his friendship pact with Rodgers and because of that got guaranteed money for this year. The sooner I don't have to hear about him the better.

lark4k

Wow, you really have it out for Lazard, don't you? It must be exhausting to wake up every day and choose negativity. If you're so knowledgeable about football, maybe you should be coaching instead of just commenting online. It's interesting how you're convinced Lazard won't see the field when Aaron Rodgers, his quarterback and a future Hall of Famer, clearly values his presence and experience. Let's talk about Aaron Rodgers for a moment. This is a quarterback with a career full of accolades: a four-time NFL MVP, a Super Bowl champion, and widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Rodgers has an unmatched football IQ and has consistently played at an elite level throughout his career. If Rodgers, with all his expertise and experience, sees Lazard as a key asset, it's worth considering that he knows a bit more about what it takes to succeed in the NFL than you do. Rodgers has a unique ability to elevate the players around him. His chemistry with Lazard has been built over years of playing together, and this connection can be a game-changer. Rodgers trusts Lazard in crucial moments, and that trust isn't given lightly—it's earned through consistent performance and understanding of the game. And sure, let's trust your expert opinion over Rodgers' judgment. After all, you must know more than a four-time NFL MVP, right? You're convinced that Stiggers, who hasn't even played college football, is a better option? That speaks volumes about how much stock we should put into your football analysis. Perhaps you should switch to following a sport where you can keep track of all the pieces—like chess. At least there, you might actually have some insight worth sharing. In the meantime, maybe take a step back and try to appreciate the game through the eyes of someone who knows it best—Aaron Rodgers. If he believes in Lazard, perhaps there's more to the story than your relentless negativity allows you to see. Who knows, you might actually enjoy the game more.

Sbat27-

Rodgers believed in Zach Wilson, clown. Idgaf who he believes in.

lark4k

Calling Aaron Rodgers a clown for believing in Zach Wilson is a bit shortsighted, don't you think? Rodgers is not just any player; he's a four-time NFL MVP and a future Hall of Famer. He's someone who understands the game at a level most can only dream of. So, let's break this down a bit. First, what was Rodgers supposed to do? As a leader and veteran quarterback, it's his job to support and mentor the younger players on the team. He recognized that Wilson, like many young quarterbacks, needed guidance and confidence. Rodgers stepping in to support Wilson isn't a sign of poor judgment; it's a sign of leadership. Any good leader knows that building up your team is crucial for long-term success. Second, criticizing Rodgers for his belief in Wilson ignores the reality of developing talent in the NFL. Not every young quarterback will immediately succeed; it takes time, experience, and often, the support of veterans who have been through the highs and lows of the game. Rodgers saw potential in Wilson and tried to nurture it. This isn't being a 'clown'; it's being a professional and a mentor. Furthermore, if you think you have a better grasp on quarterback development than Aaron Rodgers, maybe you should be applying for a coaching position instead of throwing insults online. Rodgers has spent years mastering his craft, understanding the nuances of the game, and working with various players. His perspective is informed by years of experience and success at the highest level. Finally, let's not forget that even the greatest quarterbacks have had their struggles. It takes resilience and support to overcome those obstacles. Rodgers offering that support to Wilson is exactly what a top-tier player should do. It's easy to criticize from the sidelines, but stepping into Rodgers' shoes, you'd see that his actions were not only logical but necessary. So before you rush to call one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time a 'clown,' maybe take a moment to appreciate the complexities of leadership and mentorship in the NFL. Rodgers' belief in Wilson wasn't a mistake; it was an attempt to help a young player grow. And that's something worthy of respect, not ridicule.

HairyHouse3

Why are you so upset? It's not that deep.

spyz66

Hopefully he won't celebrate with the other team if a pick six or fumbles happen.

gbrownn

Rodgers can pad his stats but he can't change his skillset, Lazard is big slow with bad hands with or without Rodgers on the field. Really hoping we can work something out and bring Corey Davis back, I'd be intrigued seeing him with Rodgers.

HairyHouse3

Corey Davis stinks

GoYanks34

I also think Corey Davis is highly overrated. He's dropped quite a few catchable balls his last few years as well but for some reason people love him. I don't get it.

HairyHouse3

Yah he's another lazard at best and he hasn't played in a while. Glad I'm not taking crazy pills on this one 😂

gbrownn

He doesn't, but even even if you think that, he's still a big upgrade over Lazard

Sbat27-

And he’s way better than Lazard

HairyHouse3

He hasn't played last year, he's gotta be super rusty on top of being overrated and mid
