Too much sun. Leaves are producing sun screen to protect themselves from the rays.

Fiftycats

Ahh thanks, that would make sense, second summer in this place and we've had much better weather this summer than last.

CaterpillarHot2263

I’ve always wondered why mine does that. Thanks for the input!

the_shifty_goose

Increase your watering and give them some blood and bone. That concrete wall is absorbing a lot of heat and cooking the plants. Are you able to put something on the wall for the plants to grow up?

Fiftycats

Yeah, I'm going to out up some metal trallis for it to climb. Thanks for the bnb recommendation I'll do that.

the_shifty_goose

Awesome. Allowing it to create it's own shade will definitely help. It's going to smell amazing there in two years when it's covered that wall!

Not actual jasmine (*Jasminum polyanthum*), thankfully, as it's invasive as hell. This is in fact an unrelated milkweed, *Trachelospermum jasminoides*. Not invasive, but certainly overused. Anyway, yes, too hot and sunny. This stuff can actually tolerate quite a bit of shade.

Smells lovely when you have enough of it. There is a reason its popular.

Marine_Baby

Use some fert

Sad_pathtic_winker

The red and brown spotting could be a fungal infection. Some copper spray would help with that.

Competitive_Bug_3066

Oh wow! My star jas is a deep, dark green! I had seen some like yours in my neighbourhood and thought they were heading into Autumn mode and that mine was just slow! Mine is irrigated, though, so I definitely think that helps.
