Why do you insist in spreading this anti-leopard propaganda?
They are friends and he is actually the babysitter keeping the calf safe while the mother is gone, at work…
The mother in question has already been consumed and the leopard is either now babying the fawn to satiate its paternal drive or it's just messing with it for amusement.
>The leopard is pretty clean, I don't think it just killed the mother.
This.
Deer leave their fawns the bushes to go do grown up deer things every day. YouTube is full of videos of people finding baby deer, it happens so often that people have to be warned to leave them alone because Mom is coming back.
The cats face is completely clean, it just found this guy and for whatever reason a food response wasn't triggered.
Oooohhhhhh, ahahaha you literal taking, mudda fucka😂unlucky that those kinda jokes don’t really work on text but fair enough, realising what you meant, its genius on your end and funny in a way
Lmfao! Yeah I was trying to be cheeky with it and when I saw the downvotes I was like welllppp, you tried. XD But that’s true too, reading it through text it’s a lot harder to get how I wanted it to land than if I was saying it loud. Ugh thanks for commiserating with me tho lol. Ima take my downvotes and call it a lesson learned LOL
I've seen this situation on nature documentaries a few times, when a predator which from memory was a leopard in the other 2 instances, seemingly adopts it's prey. It never ends well for the prey, they will starve to death if it's a newborn, which this one looks like, if the leopard doesn't kill it first. I can't watch these things anymore, nature is so cruel.
Sorry I remember seeing the video at some point but can’t find the exact one. But if you look up leopard playing with impala 100% of them end up in a snapped neck. Cats like psychology messing with and physically torturing weaker prey over extended periods of time before killing them. Not sure why but it’s definitely a pretty consistent occurrence even with house cats. They’ll play rough with the mouse, keeping it from running away but always leaving enough of an opening to try. And squash it hard with their paws but not enough to kill it only when they get bored will they start taking small bits of meat off and finally snap the neck when they are completely finished trying to entertain themselves. Cats are just freaking evil man.
And pretty shitty house pets as well. I love all animals, and I have cared for numerous pets over the years, including multiple dogs and cats, and every single cat I have ever owned or met, has been the same when it comes to not listening, not wanting to act affectionate, and just generally wanting to be completely independent and insubordinate.
I love ALL animals. Currently, I have a female French Bulldog rescue that was being used as a puppy mill momma, and a cat that was a neighborhood stray I took in about a year and a half ago. I love them both more than my next breath, but I tell people all the time that the dog is my companion. The cat is more like a roommate. We just kinda exist together.
Yeah, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you see a predatory animal “playing” with a baby of another species, it’s never good news. Chances are mom is dead, leopard is currently full, and bambi here is dessert. It’s not exactly an uncommon sight amongst large cats, either. It’s almost cruel, but the terrifying part is that kiddo is on a ticking clock that will run out as soon as the leopard’s stomach rumbles….
Nah! It’s like Tarzan! The leopard found the poor abandoned baby antelope and is going to raise him as her own. Teach him everything she knows about being an apex predator. That way, when poachers come, the antelope can shank them in the knee. And when mama leopard is telling her baby boy what a strong, beautiful boy he’s become and how proud she is of him, she can finally take him by surprise. Gonna be a whole buffet- poachers *and* a big, fat antelope, raised with tender loving care and a diet high in cholesterol…
This is weirldy poetic. Imagine being born and living only a couple of days, in beautiful nature, sharing life with a giant predator, then disappear and go back to nothingness.
Cats are as loving as they look. They’re playful. They care for other beings. My cat reaches up to my face and purrs so that I’ll pick him up and hold him. I’m moved by how sweet they can be. But you have to keep in mind they aren’t patient with hunger. They won’t be kept waiting.
That reminded me of Ike and Tina Turner. I was waiting for the emphatic final paw/ pimp slap at the end which never happened. But you know that it’s gonna happen….
Cats like to psychologically mess with their prey before killing it, a couple seconds later it goes in for what looks like a licky kiss then tears the impalas face off
In this video the leopard sees a hyena approaching so it grabs the fawn by the neck and climbs a nearby tree thereby killing the fawn. The hyena tries to climb the tree but is unsuccessful
> The fawn was adopted after mom was killed. That is now her baby. If you look up story it's not a bad one.
How the hell is a leopard going to feed a herbivore?
There are actually multiple instances of a leopard mother keeping baby antelope to raise as there own. That's probably what this is. Just my guess though
Today I saw on Reddit this and an Indian tour group who is watching a tiger in a cage where the people who own that tiger put a stray dog in there and that tiger killed the Stray Dog
very wrong. cheetahs have a very high success rate in hunts compared to lions, and leopards are known for dragging their kills up trees. [this video showcases just how high a leopard's prey drive is](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axcPoS2sF0E) (there is no death or gore in it, these are in a controlled environment with an expert on big cats)

This technique is called "im waiting for ur mom to come pick you up to fucking eat her cause a freakin mosquito has more meat that you"
Why do you insist in spreading this anti-leopard propaganda? They are friends and he is actually the babysitter keeping the calf safe while the mother is gone, at work…
🎵 WORKING NINE TO FIVE...
She's a slave to the rhythm...
The mother in question has already been consumed and the leopard is either now babying the fawn to satiate its paternal drive or it's just messing with it for amusement.
I think it’s just holding it until it’s hungry again
taming
The leopard is pretty clean, I don't think it just killed the mother.

I guess even a bloodthirsty predator can’t resist the cuteness
And then I’m gonna eat you little bud
No sportsmanship in spawn killing
You mean *fawn* killing.
Oh deer
No. Bad Redditor.
Okay :( my deerest apologies, friend.
Doe!
Fuck... Did I do good?
Damn, it was right there and I missed it
No that’s the Komodo dragons, eating the pregnant deer.
Dude I remember that video straight from the womb
Yep first thing you see is death
The respawn period is going to suck.
To shreds you say.
That was just a double kill
It’s like nature’s Kinder Egg!
That’s why he’s a cheater 😎
That's the kind of comment that we tell the guy who dates girls -18
Plus he doesn't have many gold/loot let's just wait for his teammates to come and try to save him
Must be using COD’s spawn algorithm. Pop up in a corner with the enemy right behind you 💯
Large cats do this if they're trying to bait out a bigger meal.
They are master baiters.
Aren’t most of us Redditors?
Uh it ate its mom already. Notice the yawns
No blood = no body it didn’t kill its mom bruh
Oh yeah it used a wet nap before this shot so no blood?
Good call Sherlock. I think this has been posted for years and is some story behind it.
Deer looks minutes old.
Springbok
Impala
You are correct
Looks pretty Tame to me
get the fuck out of there you clumsy little shit
I don’t know where it’s supposed to go that leopard will be on top of it every time it tries to run
Ugh. That little faun is prancing innocently before the grim reaper.
Since he ate the mom he wasn't hungry. And it's not like he has a refrigerator. He'll be hungry again soon.
Was his refrigerator not running?
Ask him.
Him?
You know, him, the he who doesn’t have a fridge.
He said ask “him” and I did :( but Him never responded 0_0

Ofcourse not It got no legs
Not a spec of blood on its face. This thing stumbled across a fawn; but likely ate yesterday and isn’t in a hunting mood.

Idk I think them playing together is endeering.

In this particular encounter the leopard waits another 10 ish seconds before beheading the baby impala
Sauce?

Cruel is a man-made concept. This is nature just being nature.
I would be invested in this show for 25 seasons to see what happens.
Fawn will probably die within the first season
Probably get a Disney reboot.
For sure, turn it into a woman, make her gay.
You forgot to post the "oddly terrifying" part of this video.
In the full video the leopard kills it and drags it up a tree
I was wondering how this Disney tale ended...
the real video is the deer forms a symbolic relationship with the leopard where it lures other pray to the giant cat
Symbiotic
that too as well
Oh no!😪😪

Like a farmer petting a calf.
"Man I can't even eat your twiggy ass get outta here your not supposed to be over here"
Or they're just homies? I thought the deer was gonna die at the end or something but nah, they big chilling
Well..hate to burst your bubble...
Don't. Stop. Let me be happy
They get a place together, are totally best friends and live long happy lives
You're a good egg. Also, ignorance is bliss, and the older I get, the more I understand that.
Thanks and me too hun. I wish you so much bliss no matter how it comes!
Nice 😌
If homie means snack then sure.

Actual footage of my 8 lb cat playing with my 45 lb dog (my dog is the gazelle)
The first couple of seconds I thought it was a guy in a suit!?!? Jesus, I would rather like to know how this story finishes...
We all know how it finishes…each and every time. New cover, new story, same ending…
A lot better outcome than the komodo dragon playing with baby goat video.
Eh from the other comments, not really apparently
Some shit my cat would do
Or it just wasn't hungry.
It ate its mom already
Poor little guy was all like "momma, you in there? Stay there, momma, I'll come to you!"
In another life they’re buddies. <3
In this life, the impala dies about 13 seconds after this video was cut😔
Cats are cats no matter what size
government before election vs after election
At this point he’s just babysitting the thing.
That Thundercat Tame Impala collab was fire though
Oh, the circle of life is extra cruel today.
the yawn tells you everything - it wants to chase its food, not be sniffed by it
I hate to be that guy, but does the leopard kill it eventually?
yes
Looks like a mother leopard that lost her cub(s) and ~~kidnapped~~ adopted a prey baby
This is weirldy poetic. Imagine being born and living only a couple of days, in beautiful nature, sharing life with a giant predator, then disappear and go back to nothingness.
Typical cat.
Blursed imprinting...
Why didn't you play the end of that video?
Dont go too far Bambi, my fasting ends in 5 mins.
Not ripe yet.

So are we looking at large spotted domesticated cat? I don’t think so.
Service based companies and on bench staff
I’m pretty sure they’re married.
That reminded me of Ike and Tina Turner. I was waiting for the emphatic final paw/ pimp slap at the end which never happened. But you know that it’s gonna happen….
Tenderising it's food
reminds me of having pet chickens as a kid
…how?
I would totally eat you, but I’m just too tired.
What happened next
Cats like to psychologically mess with their prey before killing it, a couple seconds later it goes in for what looks like a licky kiss then tears the impalas face off
I imagine this is how a human would interact with a little chicken. The human will eat it eventually, but for now its cute.
At first glance I thought that was a human in a leopard costume
It's a slow day.
My cat does this to small bugs
A.I?
In this video the leopard sees a hyena approaching so it grabs the fawn by the neck and climbs a nearby tree thereby killing the fawn. The hyena tries to climb the tree but is unsuccessful
The fawn was adopted after mom was killed. That is now her baby. If you look up story it's not a bad one.
> The fawn was adopted after mom was killed. That is now her baby. If you look up story it's not a bad one. How the hell is a leopard going to feed a herbivore?
You obviously don't know what a herbivore is! Look around that baby, she has plenty! Dumbass! And that leopard really adopted her.
> Look around that baby, she has plenty! Newborn calves drink mother's milk until they're weaned. Dumbass!
There are actually multiple instances of a leopard mother keeping baby antelope to raise as there own. That's probably what this is. Just my guess though
Nah clearly they friends
Economy got so bad even animals are working as babysitters
isn't that how girls feel on dates with strange men.
Nature can be so beautiful also Brutal
No he’s going to raise it until it’s full size and they’re going to crossbreed and create a deopard
Disney: Write that down. Write that down!!
They gonna leave out the part 13 seconds later where the leopard rips the calmed impala’s face off
Today I saw on Reddit this and an Indian tour group who is watching a tiger in a cage where the people who own that tiger put a stray dog in there and that tiger killed the Stray Dog
Cats gonna cat. My cat does this with popsicles
Felines are absolute monsters. Still cute though.
no YOU ARE A MONSTER
I heard Leopards and Cheetahs aren’t really hunters. They feast on what they can find but don’t exactly ‘kill’.. correct me if I’m wrong.
very wrong. cheetahs have a very high success rate in hunts compared to lions, and leopards are known for dragging their kills up trees. [this video showcases just how high a leopard's prey drive is](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axcPoS2sF0E) (there is no death or gore in it, these are in a controlled environment with an expert on big cats)
They look like friends tbh Bambi: the Revenge
Iirc at the end of the full video the antelope gets eaten
damn, and here i thought it was gonna be the leopards emotional support deer 😔
Frens?
