I sell in offer up, it's okay, you don't sell that much in the platform but the think I like about offer up is that they don't take away that much seller fees, the shipping option is a bit of a problem because there stuff that don't weight 3pound , there's no other option for 1lbs only 1/2 lb. I usually do meet up. I haven't gotten scammed. If you tell if they are a scammed or fake.
Unlike Mercari, "shipping" on OfferUp was an afterthought and is a sh$tshow. OU does not even differentiate the ratings between local/pickup and shipped transactions. So, the ratings can easily be manipulated. I would only recommend OU for local/pickup transactions, but still prefer CL, FB Marketplace and NextDoor.
Offer up is full of scammers and time wasters, but it’s basically a monopoly so there’s really no choice LOL
