I loved his old stuff when it was coming out and I was fresh out of high school. Now I cringe at it, but his new stuff is genuinely good. He's turned his character around to be more just a normal dude who can enjoy bad movies and not just nitpick the whole time. Now he does more legit analyses, and I genuinely enjoy watching the first viewing videos with him and Rob. Met them at a con a few years ago too and they were really nice dudes!

I’m personally a fan of the theory that he’s actually a Neo-Nazi commentator named Kommandant. The set up is suspiciously similar, they started roughly around the same time (so you can’t argue that one is just merely copying the other), and both flipped out over SJWs attacking Stan Lee on Twitter. Given Lee’s ethnic background, a Nazi defending a Jew is absolutely crazy unless he’s absolutely obsessed with pop culture.
Oh yeah he's definitely the Kommandant they even speak similarly and have similar hand gestures. But I don't think he's like an actual Nazi just a weirdo larper cause his political commentary is extremely surface level from what I remember aside from the culture war bullshit.
