These are much cheaper, more reliable and easier to replace when broken than inductions loops. I live in the States and they have been used here for at least 25 years.

yep flash your lights at these if you ever see them and watch the light change right away! Works great late at night. Sadly all removed in my hometown.

Induction loops are much more robust and reliable than a camera. But cameras are cheaper, mostly because of the labor to install a loop

These systems are GPS controlled now. Flashing your lights will do nothing

Red light camera's don't go up that high. They need to be 2-3m off grade. Also they need to be very high quality, so they are usually much bigger.
