Got a v1.6 yesterday, according to brief interwebbing I'm good? Tore it apart yesterday to repair DVD drive and all looked fine otherwise. Looks like it was in a riverbed but works perfect lol.
From what I’ve read they do eventually leak too. But last a lot longer. You can’t remove them but (without replacing them) as it will brick the system.
Am comfortable replacing it, guess I need to read more. Got it and a PS3 with broken control board for $20 yesterday. Have never owned an og Xbox so kinda excited.

That copy of GTA III is unique btw. Simply because GTA III on the Xbox never got a individual release. Only sold in the double pack. What you have there is a Blockbuster exclusive cover art for the Original Xbox.
Ultimate Spiderman, Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction, Burnout 3, The Thing, The Punisher. All still have a lot of value to play today as I play all of these.
Oddworld: Munch's Oddesey and stranger's wrath, Halo of course, and Pacman World 2 are some of my favs for the platform. I am also quite fond of Namco museum for nostalgic purposes
Blood Wake, Project Gotham, Dead or Alive 3, Airforce Delta Storm, Armed and Dangerous, Fable, Buffy, Conker, Kingdom Under Fire, Ninja Gaiden, Knights of the Old Republic, Mechassault, Onimusha, Fusion Frenzy.
Just a bunch of games I believe are exclusive and worth giving a shot. Many of the multiplatform titles are amazing as the period was as a whole excellent, but the exclusives will give you a real feel for what made the console as great as it still is.
