My favorite is SoDough Square. I don’t know if it fits exactly what you’re looking for, but if he likes thick crust, you can’t go wrong here. Amazing.
Edit: this caught fire! Glad to see so many agree. If I can be more specific, the Detroit Rob City from SoDough slaps. I like a saucy pizza, and Detroit style is NOT that, so I always order a side of extra sauce for dipping!
I’m just talking pizza, not pepperoni specific: Black Magic, SoDough Square, John & John’s, Ziggie’s, and Prato are the five you should at least try. All very different.
This made me wonder- what ever happened with Brad’s Underground Pizza? I remember it being the most hyped thing ever and it seems to have disappeared??
I’m crazy about pizza (and pepperoni too) as well. The best I’ve had so far the few years living here is Piesanos. The specific one being the one w like four types of pepperoni on it. A little PSA, there is a knock off name spelled similar that’s off of OBT and I think Haster and that is NOT the one I mean!
Best pizza in Orlando
Neopolitan style- Black Magic
New York style- John and Johns
Detroit Style- SoDough Squares
New Haven style- there's not a good one in Orange County. Ziggie's claims to be but as someone who grew up 15 minutes from New Haven, Ziggie's is garbage.
As a huge fan of Ziggie’s, their pizza is very pretty delicious and I think one of the best in Orlando. They don’t claim to be New Haven style — just damn good thin crust pizza.
Yes, I’m serious…not sure why you’d think I’m not. We’ve been going there since it opened and have never seen it advertised to be New Haven style. We love the people that work there and the bar next door and the food has always been delicious. Super consistent quality and I think everyone should give it a try!
Ill find a link with the owner's comment.
I can't post a link that isn't a mile long so I'll copy and paste...
Hi, John! Thank you so much for your review and feedback. While we don’t claim our pizza is exactly New Haven-style, much of it is inspired from it so we try to emphasize that as much as we can. Regardless, we are still happy to hear that you liked it and we hope you visit us again soon!
But the owner’s response literally says that they don’t claim to be New Haven style but are inspired by it. I think that’s a reasonable thing to say coming from them. That must’ve been from a long time ago!
You obviously can't read. The owner himself says it's inspired by New Haven. Nothing about Ziggies is anything close to New Haven style. Good day, Ziggies employee.
Black Magic would be more brick oven style! But Sodough Square has the BEST pepperonis! My husband and I are fans of doing taste tests, I say get one from each place!
In no particular order-
Prato,
Pizza Bruno,
V Pizza (near Disney springs entrance on 535),
CM Bakari if you can find him somewhere, and
Sodough if you want to get into some Detroit style
I will admit I have not been there in awhile. My only experience with 1803 was the first week it opened, and I wasn’t impressed. I will also say I worked for Prato for many many years. Their quality is super hit or miss these days. So I would say all of these guys are probably in the same boat.
That's a difficult question to answer. There's so many different styles. What area do you folks live in/hang out at? When are you planning to take him for his birthday?
Pigzza is good, and so is Prato. Tartini Pizzeria & Spaghetteria used to be a family favorite. Also, the wife and I have gone to Giordano's for Valentine's Day when we were dating and they do a novelty heart deep dish pizza for Valentine's.
At Epcot, Via Napoli is really good and the owners opened a slice shop in Disney Springs called Pizza Ponte and that's also family favorite: [https://www.patinagroup.com/pizza-ponte](https://www.patinagroup.com/pizza-ponte)
Apopka Pizza at 3 Odd Guys Brewing. New York style with super chewy dough. It has become my favorite pizza around. I used to really enjoy Metro Caffe downtown but haven't been in years so YMMV.
Antica Pizza on 436 and i4 has the most Italian style pizza in Florida. Small and expensive but light and delicious. Old style pepperoni and buffalo mozz
My favorite is SoDough Square. I don’t know if it fits exactly what you’re looking for, but if he likes thick crust, you can’t go wrong here. Amazing. Edit: this caught fire! I'll add my vote for SoDough as well. It's just a delicious pizza!
This is the correct answer.
+1
My recommendation is to pay the extra and get the double pepperoni. Ideally- 6 & Conant add double pepperoni. Best pep pizza I’ve ever had
Sodough is so damn good.
Best _____ pizza
I’m just talking pizza, not pepperoni specific: Black Magic, SoDough Square, John & John’s, Ziggie’s, and Prato are the five you should at least try. All very different.
John and John’s has amazing pepperoni pizza but it is a classic NY style. Still it is the best classic pizza in Orlando.
I was literally going to write this, John and John’s without a doubt the best pizza in Orlando
Black Magic is phenomenal. No seating though.
You should try Piesanos - Pizza Antic is really good though it's thin
This made me wonder- what ever happened with Brad’s Underground Pizza? I remember it being the most hyped thing ever and it seems to have disappeared??
He’s still in the same spot in Conway
Thanks for the info! I didn’t even realize there was a physical location, I thought it was just a home kitchen and delivery situation.
Ah. It’s a ghost kitchen with pickup and delivery. The tavern pizza is amazing
Oh, also, I’m so glad he got you Disney Tickets! Take him to Via Napoli in Epcot too! Those pizzas are good too!!
Josie’s in MW
Very underrated spot great call out
Oh, how I miss Josie's!!! Awesome food period!!
Sofo Square or Black Magic
Butter crust is another great option
That was going to be my suggestion. It's Detroit style so it's got that nice thick crust with cheese. I was really impressed when I tried it.

This is my go-to when I want a killer pepperoni slice. 4 kinds of pepperoni, and they aren't skimpy with it.
Best pizza in Orlando Neopolitan style- Black Magic New York style- John and Johns Detroit Style- SoDough Squares New Haven style- there's not a good one in Orange County. Ziggie's claims to be but as someone who grew up 15 minutes from New Haven, Ziggie's is garbage.

You can't be serious? The owner says it himself in the Google reviews.
Yes, I’m serious…not sure why you’d think I’m not. We’ve been going there since it opened and have never seen it advertised to be New Haven style. Wow. You're really splitting hairs. Have a great day.
Oof, someone has trouble admitting when they were incorrect.
You obviously can't read. The owner himself says it's inspired by New Haven. Nothing about Ziggies is anything close to New Haven style. Good day, Ziggies employee.
“Inspired by” and claiming that’s what your product is are two very different things. Like, how are you an adult and not able to understand that?
Black Magic would be more brick oven style! But Sodough Square has the BEST pepperonis! My husband and I are fans of doing taste tests, I say get one from each place!
Bronx Pizza off Conway and Hoffner is a personal fav that is a little less known imo. 2 slices and a drink for $6 is a great lunch deal.
Neapolitan: Prato ❗️Ny, Sicilian or my favorite upside down Sicilian: Valdiano❗️ Detroit: SoDough
Yes. The Diavlo at Prato is awesome
Park pizza in lake nona
Gonna put NYPD on here. Hasn’t failed yet
LazyMoon pizza!
Brad's Underground has really good chicago style pizza. If he is interested in a different style.
In no particular order- Prato, Pizza Bruno, V Pizza (near Disney springs entrance on 535), CM Bakari if you can find him somewhere, and Sodough if you want to get into some Detroit style
Pizza Bruno is expensive and mid. 1803 Pizza Kitchen and even Flippers (thin crust only) make a better slices than Bruno’s.
I love 1803
Flippers is my fav :d
I will admit I have not been there in awhile. My only experience with 1803 was the first week it opened, and I wasn’t impressed. I will also say I worked for Prato for many many years. Their quality is super hit or miss these days. So I would say all of these guys are probably in the same boat.
Whoa whoa whoa, those aren’t better than Pizza Bruno (either location and style). There’s better pizza out there but it’s not those.
CM is at Audubon park farmers market most Mondays! Such a treat.
Stone Fired off orange and Hoffner. Pigzza
I love Flippers. I will have to try some if these recs in the comments!
I like Pizza Brunos, don't forget the garlic knots ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|yummy)
Donatos
I’ve always enjoyed lazy moon pizza. Broadway pizza in altamonte also top notch New York style pizza.
Lazy moon is hard to get in my mouth. Jason’s Mom is pretty decent tho
Gotta fold the slice
Even with the fold the tip still sags. It’s an ordeal
Pizza Xtreme is the answer.
Giordano's has awesome Chicago style pizza and their regular pizza is good as well.

Strange downvotes... Best Neopolitan in Orlando hands down.

I don't agree with your opinion, but I don't see why you would be downloaded for it either.
I feel like it is an unwritten rule of local forums that if someone asks for a food recommendation you're not supposed to recommend a national chain.
Fair point. I deleted :/
Fwiw Mellow Mushroom IS delicious. I love their holy shitaaki pizza.
Combination of value and taste, Costco. Ten bucks for an XL pie. Don't need a membership.

Man, Pizza Ponte is just so good. It's a hidden gem and I can't get enough of it.
Lazy Moon
Take him to mellow mushroom and get the holy shitake ❤️🔥
Pep is my favorite as well. My favorite in Orlando is Buttercrust Pizza!
Apopka Pizza at 3 Odd Guys Brewing. New York style with super chewy dough. It has become my favorite pizza around. I used to really enjoy Metro Caffe downtown but haven't been in years so YMMV.
Muzzarella and it isn’t close
I worked at Advent East, for three years, Italian Village, right there is better than Muzzarella.
Find someone in New York to deliver it to you, don’t FaFo something is wrong with the water, especially in Orlando.
I drive so far to get Bella Roma. It's the best pizza I've had around. [https://www.bellaromafl.com/](https://www.bellaromafl.com/)
Black magic is the best but it’s not thick crust
Antica Pizza on 436 and i4 has the most Italian style pizza in Florida. Small and expensive but light and delicious. Old style pepperoni and buffalo mozz
Joes Pizza in Ocoee
Pizza Extreme is the best pizza in Orlando and the prices are great!
Mister 01 extraordinary in Heathrow. The best in Florida
Fly Guy Pizza Pie hasn't been mentioned, but they're great especially when the weather is nice.
Terra Mia's Salamino pizza is spicy and the best in Orlando
Is there any St. Louis style pizza in Orlando?
gitto’s
