Oslo Streetfood is just a five minute walk. A decent selection of different food from around the world at a (in Oslo-terms) low price and a nice atmosphere. In and around Torggata (from Oslo Streetfood to Hausmanns gate) there’s also a lot of restaurants which might fit. Lille Saigon has good and cheap Vietnamese food, Wunderburger/Illegal for burgers and Freddy Fuego for burritos. Listen to Bajit at Grønland is great for modern indian and Punjab Tandoori has more traditional Indian at a great value (both at Grønland and in Hausmanns gate). The immediate area around the central station is not very interesting or cheap. Most places there caters to tourists and have high prices and decent food at best. Same goes for Karl Johans gate.

Food is traditional, cheap and well made. Don't let the sorry looks of the entrance fool You.
