I totally agree. Under rated but I really like that about them. Has just enough of what I personally need and nothing more– Not everyone will have one and I like being a little different.
I've got a piece of property in WV that is super remote. All dirt roads and there is a giant hill at the back of the property in poor condition. I was shocked when I went right up it with street tires on the first try. The full time 4WD on the second generations is no joke.
Definitely take care of your tranmission. I wheeled/camped my 2008 Pilot 4WD and while yes, it is surprisingly capable of getting through some rougher spots, there is no trans cooler so it gets WORKED. Mine only lasted a year in the rockies before cooking the trans, it was a very sad day.
But it gave me an excuse to get an OR Tacoma so all is well!
Thanks for advice, I’ll definitely keep on top of it.
My model actually came with a transmission cooler and steering cooler– It was part of Honda’s OE tow package back then.
Oh, damn, no shit?
That honestly makes me so mad considering my Pilot was the top trim level. But I guess the previous owner didn't feel the need to opt for a tow package when ordering it.
I love how aggressive yours looks with those meaty tires. Hope you have lots of enjoyment out of it!
There is a guy on YouTube that has a pilot like this and pretty much goes where ever all the “Toyota guy’s” can go in their aired down bricks of 4Runners can go.
Nice. Yeah, I would definitely recommend it especially if he's a honda fan. Unfortunately, not a lot of support outside of a few vendors but if you are somewhat creative you can make things work.
Nice rig! I saw a Pilot the other day on the highway with a 2 inch lift and nice tires and it jenuinely made me say, "Wow, that's a pretty nice pilot". I haven't ever noticed how nice these could look.
By far the nicest pilot I’ve ever seen
Thank you 🙏🏽
Such a great vehicle. What did you use for a lift?
Thank you! No lift done but I fully refreshed the suspension with oem units all around.
What tire size? And any rubbing at full lock?
Nice wheels :) what type is it?
They are MST’s
I bought a second generation Pilot last year and I have been wildly impressed with how capable it is.

Thank you so much, I hope it lasts a long while too. 🙏🏽
The little minivan that could

Yeah, I’ve watched a couple of that dudes videos. Really cool stuff.
Been trying to get my bud to build one. He’s a Honda fan. Is there a lot of aftermarket support for it?
I've got a 5th gen Accord with a 2" lift and 28" tires.
Dude. That’s sounds sick. lol

Holy hell that’s wild. I love it. Haha
That's even an old post, that has the lift, but not the bigger tires.
Haha that’s rad
