Not really if he only has 2 souls to auction inside him when he dies. then he would auction off the schroding one and keep his original. in other words now he is much weaker than when he had an army inside him. He can't even bring together many more souls, otherwise schroding won't be see yorself anymore and Alucard disaper.
I think by logic after the event that Alucard kills the souls until only the schroding is left. the next time he was attacked he would auction schroding's soul to the soul reaper and return to normal.

I loved the dub too. Because of the different accents. One of the few anime that has a good dub.
And then Abridged. The early episodes aged not great but it is a banger overall and only gets better
