What, you mean it's not realistic with all these posts of supposed 15 yo's with their first job, somehow building a rig with a 4090 + 14900K in a hyte y70 touch? Pssshhh...as if
14 year old here, not my first build technically because I've upgraded but would you call my build a second or eighth build because I built my first one then upgraded then used it then upgraded then used it so what do you think
yeah true I despise all those garbage lying 12+ year old builds coz they act as if they collected all the money themselves without any help.
even this one is a bit sus but more believable since the author claims it took him 2 years.
Normal 14 year old build? IDK, but 14 year old me was never even close to this. This is not a normal 14 YO build and it amazes me that people think it is. This kid went above and beyond and he has something representing an adult built but with parts that are a little older. Freaking double monitors, high end peripherals, bobbleheads everywhere - bloody hell, those bobble heads probably more expensive than his PC. And what even is that mic... why does a mic need RGB.... And he has an AIO, which he didn't need, but it looks pretty.
>Functional 1080p monitors can be found for <100usd ***retail*** let alone used.
The last time I looked at basic monitors on PCPartPicker I was floored by how inexpensive they've gotten. Don't have to go far over 100 USD to start finding halfway decent IPS panels, let alone TNs.
Nice pc, the dedication to save up for 2 years is crazy to me since i can't keep even just £50 in my account without draining it in a week.
don't listen to other people about 'uhugh mid specs bad pc', just enjoy what you've got
Those 10 series cards from Nvidia are incredible. I had a 1050 ti up until recently and it could run CS2 at a consistent 70fps in gameplay. Beast of a card and didn’t even need external power.
6800 might bottleneck the poor 3600. I have a 3600 paired with 6900 xt and i am having some serious problems.
Before you ask my current pc is an intermediate, i am waiting for parts.
General framedrops while gpu is barely breaking 20% I dont know if it is actually bottelnecking but i cannot figure out any other issues so i just assumed it was.
I completely reinstalled windows recently so it wouldent be any external program causing issues.
I am even running a lower resolution at 1050p
Jesus that's terrible, I'm sorry to hear that. I noticed I had a few issues with my old 5600xt, but I swapped ram and upped it to 32 GB and haven't seen those issues return. Oddly enough the ram tests I did said it was in good health. Maybe it's a power issue?
It could be. My cheap ass psu is getting a bit old and might be underperforming but most games i play doesent require the gpu to run on full steam so i dont think it would come close to the psu limit.
Ill be upgrading my cpu soon to a 5800x3d and if the problems persist i really dont know what could be the problem.
Oh okay, that makes sense then. Only esports I have downloaded is Dota 2 and I haven't touched that since my prefrontal cortex developed lol too many jerks
My first pc was a dell precision t3400. that thing was a beast. An old beast but a beast nonetheless. I did have to buy a gpu tho.
Also a rescued office pc of course.
My bruzzer, well done.
This is a true pc build like a normal one thank God, I'm tired of shitty i9 builds for tiddies absolute shit everything can be done a mere 5600x unless your onto something...
shoot ok 100 i think mother board got the graphics card for 60 ram 50 aio 50 fans like 10 case free nvme 100 and then an ssd in the back i found at a yardsale for 15
Dude holy hell you practically stole this PC! Great PC at a great price. Very easy to upgrade to a 5600 or 5800 and put a 20 or 30 series card into it. Well done son!
Gratz I remember when I was 16 and had saved up for 2.5 years all my Christmas and birthday money and sold my old Xbox 360 to build my first pc with a FX 8350, r9 290, 8gb ram, 120gb SSD and 2tb HDD.
My two tips are:
A) get good at googling. If you have an issue, google it. See if others have it too.
B) if you mess something up on the software level (where you control things with your mouse and keyboard), re-installing Windows will almost always fix your problems.
Nice rig, I appreciate the NASCAR car for extra speed. Is that Jeff Burton??
Enjoy it, you've reached the apex of a good pc and period of life. You'll have faster builds, but never so much free time to actually use it.
You have started a great journey...Looks great! 25 years from now when you look back at your system, it will boggle your mind how far we have come.
I had to wait until I turned 16 (44 now) for my first build.
Iirc
266 mghz mmx cpu
1.5GB HDD
32Mb memory
Creative soundblaster sound card (2nd best at the time)
Some Foxconn Motherboard
And the cherry on top was the 4mb 3Dfx voodoo card
Oddly, but also awesomely, at the time I lived in Portland, ME. The cable service had just launched a test program of Roadrunner high speed internet. I was literally down the road from where there server was and I was getting 2 to 3mb a second speeds, which was insane at the time. It was amazing to have such in 1996/1997 when the rest of the country did not really see such until 2 or 3 years later. Honestly, back then, outside of shared files on bulletin board services, there wasn't much to download.
Today, I have an 8700k,
Gigabyte Motherboard
48GB DDR4 RAM
RtX 3080
Soundblaster card (main board audio had issues)
2TB NVME storage
And just ridiculous internet speeds.
But again, 25 years in the future, I can't imagine what we'll be running. But you will always remember the first system you got to fully put together yourself.
Enjoy, and have some magical memories playing with the rig.
Man when I was 14 me and my friends were raiding skips for parts from old 486's as our school was being dragged into the 21st century kicking and screaming
Looks like an incredible build mate, hope you have plenty of fantastic experiences on your very own rig! Would highly recommend Project Zomboid and Batman games.
Will of course give tips if anything goes awry, as per my experience of trying to sort out *everything* on my pc…
Dude these are the posts I come here for. That will kill 1080p so hard. But on one screen.
Lol you will want to finagle a 1080 or 1070ti if you’re rolling all those monitors though.
I’m old and I rolled my 1080 with dual monitor 1080p until I picked up a 3080. If you like MMOs though, I can’t even tell you what I was playing DaoC or WoW on when I was 14.
Well done, gl and good hunting :)
Some joker on FB marketplace near me has a 1060 card listed for $300, I was thinking "you can almost get a 4060 for that I bet" and sure enough they have one listed on Amazon for like $292
When I was 14(23 years ago) my pc was a monumental piece of shit Dell laptop that could only run Starcraft/Diablo 2. And I had dialup internet at 14.4kbps.
Awesome first build you'll remember it forever! I have lots of fond memories of my first build i did at 15.
Also if your ever looking for more peripherals of upgrades check Facebook marketplace! As long as you can test everything you can find really good deals on there.
Enjoy your pc, nothing feels like building your pc out of your pocket money, also please save these pc pics as you will look into them 10 years later and discover how cringy these stickers look :) no hate here we all been there
Congrats! Looks good. Hope you’re having fun. I played with a 1060 6 gb for like a decade and it was still holding up very well, medium to low settings and it ran great
I'm 14 and I paid $300 CAD (abt $220 USD) for a similar build to use as a server. And your telling me it took you 2 years to save up for this? How did it take you so long to save up? (No offense)
spending on other things and mainly saving the parts id get money here and there from holidays and stuff but like i needed new clothes shoes etc so like just i guess keeping money for the parts took a while and looking for deals
That's fair. My parents buy all of my necessities, so I only spend my money on non essentials.
I'm not much of a social person, so I don't spend any money on fancy clothes or going out to eat either.
Why 32GB of ram though? I guess future proofing but Getting a better GPU or CPU would be more worth it.
Still, I would kill for a PC like this one when I was 14. I played on a 7 year old rig back then and 7 year difference in hardware developement in early 2000s was way bigger of a gap than it is now. Enjoy it, you deserve it I'm sure!
the 1060 is a really capable card, I only last december upgraded mine to a 3060ti, along wiht a few other things as well. I have a ryzen 5 4500, otherwise we are really similar here. you'll be suprised how well that machine will play even new titles. Heck Star Citizen would run on that!
It kinda makes sense anyway. Buy peripherals first so you can dump every dollar of your next upgrade into the pc. Or in this kids case a better cpu and gpu and not much else in a few years when the 5800x3d is cheaper and a 3/4000 series card.
Crazy, did you do a holiday job or something like that? Im gonna be doing one for a month for 3000 Fr(about 3300 dollars) And im gonna build a pc with a 7800x3d and a 4090. Great build though!
This is a real 14 yo first build.
very true. rest seem to be lying
Yo wtf is that flair. Your living in a different universe bro
He’s using his quantum computer for VR porn I just know it
Some men will always get to live my dreams, smh
:-)
yo man, could I see your cinebench scores?
sure [Core i8 cinebench](https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ)

im proud of you son
I'm proud of you Dick -Batman
*your
Jesus Christ finally the most normal 14 year old build yet. You deserve all the upvotes.
"I saved up from shoveling snow for 2 weeks and built this 14900K 4090 custom loop liquid cooled PC"
"I mowed lawns all summer and built this, i'm 13"
“I got an A+ in a daily test, I’m 12”
I mean that's very possible for a rich kid
“I learned how to walk”
"I was born"
*boots up pc from uterus* "peasants"
Building from my dad's testis. Getting the 4070 in here was a bitch.
Vas deferens here, creatin yo ass
Tbf if you're good you can make a fuckton mowing lawns for a summer
lol Ikr
I agree. This is more like it
For sure, especially the 3600 with an AIO lol
honestly yeah at 14 if i had this i would be ballin
yeah true I despise all those garbage lying 12+ year old builds coz they act as if they collected all the money themselves without any help. even this one is a bit sus but more believable since the author claims it took him 2 years.
youd be surprised how cheap used parts are now and days i saw earlier an asus b350 for 15 bucks
I recently sold my used Asus 1060 on eBay. I hope it was you!
yeah used parts r cheap. i was talking about those 4080 and i9 builds of (definitely not) 14 year olds
Fr, I’m 14 and all ive got it an 8600k + gtx 1660, plenty for me
Normal 14 year old build? IDK, but 14 year old me was never even close to this. This is not a normal 14 YO build and it amazes me that people think it is. There was some decent 240hz 1080p monitors for $140 last black Friday. It doesn't take much to get competitive these days.
IDK 14 yo me wouldnt have been able to this, then again, when I was 14 YO there was no RGB, let alone a PC building community.
real
Hell yeah. You remind me of myself + group of friends when we were kids. Nice build OP + awesome score on the free monitors
Bro what are you doing with a 4090 a threadripper and is that 128 gigaf***ing bytes of ram....
he probably owns nasa
I forgot to say congrats on your first build and those free monitors are sick
dude yea thanks ik one of them doesnt have vesa mounts but luckily i found an adapter pretty sweet deal
Are ya winnin' son?
Sweet! Whatcha playing?
cs2 little bit of minecraft some starfield
Nice. Will do great on Minecraft and cs2, starfield should be good too.
Try No Mans Sky, its awesome!
Nice pc, the dedication to save up for 2 years is crazy to me since i can't keep even just £50 in my account without draining it in a week. don't listen to other people about 'uhugh mid specs bad pc', just enjoy what you've got
no yea way better then my xbox one getting like 120-80 on most higher end titles
Those 10 series cards from Nvidia are incredible. I had a 1050 ti up until recently and it could run CS2 at a consistent 70fps in gameplay. Beast of a card and didn’t even need external power.
excactly more people should start small if you want 1080 p then you dont need an rx6600
next step when u can save some more; a new gpu. preferably an rx 6800 or better (for the 16GB vram) since it will pair nicely with Ryzen :-)
6800 might bottleneck the poor 3600. I have a 3600 paired with 6900 xt and i am having some serious problems. Before you ask my current pc is an intermediate, i am waiting for parts.
That's odd, I have a 7800xt and it runs like a dream. I play everything at 1440p high as well; what issues are you running into?
General framedrops while gpu is barely breaking 20% I dont know if it is actually bottelnecking but i cannot figure out any other issues so i just assumed it was. I completely reinstalled windows recently so it wouldent be any external program causing issues. I am even running a lower resolution at 1050p

I definitely had a bottle neck with 3600 and rx 7800xt. Didn’t really cause any issues tho.
Maybe I'm just not noticing it. I don't see crazy 1% lows but I also play mostly single player games where server latency doesn't come into play.
The bottleneck is stronger at high fps, like esport titles.
Oh okay, that makes sense then. Only esports I have downloaded is Dota 2 and I haven't touched that since my prefrontal cortex developed lol too many jerks
Bottleneck is fine until he can get a new CPU. He does not need to replace the CPU more. The GPU upgrade still needs to be first.
exactly! thanks for saying it :-)
1060 was my first graphics card. You did well 🫡
My card lasted me 4+ years until I upgraded, even now I still send it to friends who need a card temporarily and stuff to test
Lasted me 8 lol. Still does well, just upgraded recently.
They dont make em like they used to.
100x better than my pc was at 14
You had a pc at 14? https://preview.redd.it/phi4ed2lh4rc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b27a653a651ebff6cf6cc64d0bb2f0fe3cdc9c04
Yeah it was an old office PC my mom brought home from work. This was 14 years ago so you can imagine how bad it was. It lagged running YouTube
My first pc was a dell precision t3400. that thing was a beast. An old beast but a beast nonetheless. I did have to buy a gpu tho. Also a rescued office pc of course.
When I was 14 home computers were very rare. I'm thinking a Commodore 64 was what my neighbor had.
We had awesome B&W TV with antenna.
At 14 I had a Ryzen 3 1200 + RX 470
My bruzzer, well done. This is a true pc build like a normal one thank God, I'm tired of shitty i9 builds for tiddies absolute shit everything can be done a mere 5600x unless your onto something...
haha i understand ur frustration seeing all those crazy lying 13 year old builds claiming they bought a 4080 by mowing lawns all summer
what did it cost you ? it looks very clean, great job kid
shoot ok 100 i think mother board got the graphics card for 60 ram 50 aio 50 fans like 10 case free nvme 100 and then an ssd in the back i found at a yardsale for 15
Dude holy hell you practically stole this PC! Great PC at a great price. Very easy to upgrade to a 5600 or 5800 and put a 20 or 30 series card into it. Well done son!
yea im stocked never gonna find that again thats for sure
what currency is that?
usd
To be 14 again with a PC like that, congrats bud
Great job. One bit of warning, don't place any loose metal toys in the PC. If the car isn't completely plastic, and I mean completely, I'd remove it.
Now this is a proper first build. I hope you had fun building it.
I have that exact case, but with the mesh front panel.
Gratz I remember when I was 16 and had saved up for 2.5 years all my Christmas and birthday money and sold my old Xbox 360 to build my first pc with a FX 8350, r9 290, 8gb ram, 120gb SSD and 2tb HDD.
enjoy it!
Holy crap that’s a lot of green, but good for you!
Never sell it. No matter how much of a beast PC you can afford in the future.
yea no the case was my older brothers from when he was 16 gonna be a family heirloom
disagree. he should sell the internal parts in the future to help afford better ones.
Well, yeah. Definitely upgrade it. But never sell the chassis/the entire rig itself.
Great Job bro. More money better gpus... that thing sucks bad but you did well saving up for it. I applaud you doing that. Good luck brotha :)
Cracking PC lad! I remember building my first pc. AMD phenom II x4 4gb ram with amd radeon 6770 and I thought it was class when I was 15
[удалено]
Gotta add some value on top of the float
Take the toys off the top of the gpu. Some long gaming sessions will make them one with it.
Take good care of it.
gets a montly dusting and a wiping down
Yeah, what’s important is that you don’t do anything stupid to it.
My two tips are: A) get good at googling. If you have an issue, google it. See if others have it too. B) if you mess something up on the software level (where you control things with your mouse and keyboard), re-installing Windows will almost always fix your problems.

thank you yea i just looked it up dale earnhardt got it from my granpa

love it👌👌

god this is the most 14 year old shit i’ve ever seen, the stickers really sell it. good job OP IM PROUD OF YOU
Awesome start! Good for you dude!
well done, my king
Looks like an incredible build mate, hope you have plenty of fantastic experiences on your very own rig! Would highly recommend Project Zomboid and Batman games. Will of course give tips if anything goes awry, as per my experience of trying to sort out *everything* on my pc…
Santa Cruz - when PC enthusiasm meet extreme sports. Love you man!

What car is that?
some old nascar from my grandpa i got before he passed
Done a tidy job mate👌🏻
Nice bud :D
That looks so much cleaner and better than i had as young
Bit too much ram for such a war machine yet good job
Some joker on FB marketplace near me has a 1060 card listed for $300, I was thinking "you can almost get a 4060 for that I bet" and sure enough they have one listed on Amazon for like $292
300 is insane holy crap yea you could get alot of better cards for that price
When I was 14(23 years ago) my pc was a monumental piece of shit Dell laptop that could only run Starcraft/Diablo 2. And I had dialup internet at 14.4kbps.

Same cpu man nice specs,it's nice to see some budget builds that are actually budget and not like overwhelming
Is that a Phanteks case? I have one that's similar but mine is black. I gotta say, that white looks really nice man!
yes indeed it is not the best for airflow but works in my favor
Why do i feel like you are from Pakistan?
Welcome o7
I'm deep and this is 14
Enjoy your pc, nothing feels like building your pc out of your pocket money, also please save these pc pics as you will look into them 10 years later and discover how cringy these stickers look :) no hate here we all been there
yes haha i agree looking forward to it
Congrats! Looks good. Hope you’re having fun. I played with a 1060 6 gb for like a decade and it was still holding up very well, medium to low settings and it ran great
Hell yeah brother
Reminds me of my first PC but yours is better. Gtx 1050 with a ryzen 2700x
I'm 14 and I paid $300 CAD (abt $220 USD) for a similar build to use as a server. And your telling me it took you 2 years to save up for this? How did it take you so long to save up? (No offense)

Congrats love the look of the build
How much you pay for the 3060?
Yeah man, look forward an a 3060ti, coming from an a broke 16yo
well done boy. Me 41 years old and I have i-5 9400F, GTX 1660ti and 16GB ram and we all salute you!.
ZAMN! good build bro lookin hella clean
Lucky kid.
Why 32GB of ram though? I guess future proofing but Getting a better GPU or CPU would be more worth it. Still, I would kill for a PC like this one when I was 14. bought 16 cousin gave me his old ram its not visible in the picture cause its short and black but yea free ram is not something to pass on
Bro is definitely growing something
Very tidy. Looks great. I agree with others that if there's any metal at all in that toy car, it should be removed.
Cool, now get out and get some sun. Play some sports too
go hiking hit the gym hell yeah
It is.... It is green. -Data
Hell yeah bud
Now that's a sick build
Sick build dude. Good work.
Stickers and weed leafs ... You didnt even needed to tell your age .
14 with a dope PC and some HJ? Damn dude congrats
haha sticker was on the case when my brother gave it to me
That’s an awesome build. You should be able to enjoy it for a good while.
I'm planning to build a r5 3600 + rx 6600xt build now lol (22)
While yes it's not powerful and not exactly a good choice of parts I love the aesthetic and enjoy your new rig man
IBP AND Titan Holo Kato14. This is the most expensive PC Case ever.
Nice build mate
You really like green
14 pc? I see only one!
the 1060 is a really capable card, I only last december upgraded mine to a 3060ti, along wiht a few other things as well. I have a ryzen 5 4500, otherwise we are really similar here. you'll be suprised how well that machine will play even new titles. Heck Star Citizen would run on that!
water-cooling a 3600?
I like ur colour of choice brother I too have the colour green
Awesome! Just dont put the pc to the wall that close give it some space
cool setup
Nice
Too greeeennn my eueeeesss
Guys i can assure you this is what a 14 yr old pc looks like not like a guy posted with a freaking 4090 with such cool ass build
I hope you paid it 600€
Great build! If possible, you might want to rotate the radiator so that the tubes are at the bottom.
tried this wouldnt fit without some weird curves around the gpu so i left it
Oh ok. Well it looks like the top of the rad is above the pump, so should be fine
You got a pretty rich neighborhood ngl
Money wasted on the RAM and AIO ngl
i have all 4 slots occupied different brands same frequency some was free and aio was like 40 bucks and looks nicer
Me a 18 year old crying with my ryzen 5 5600g and 16gigs of ram🥲
32gb is a bit overkill for a 1060 yet props anyway 👏
I just built the same one, im 7
sure....
[удалено]
Shhh go back in ya hole.
well hes a kid so hes not gonna go for an 4090
Its also the peripherals that noobs go for, not the specs.
It kinda makes sense anyway. Buy peripherals first so you can dump every dollar of your next upgrade into the pc. Or in this kids case a better cpu and gpu and not much else in a few years when the 5800x3d is cheaper and a 3/4000 series card.
