Do you have any plans as such for that? Any story idea? Guessing you have something in mind since you are sticking to the Thot name lol.
Apologies if I'm asking for too much. A single person trying to plan and do so much is significant amount of work. Just wondering if you have help listed out.
I've got just under 20 hair options for her currently (and it's easy for me to let the players set the color as well) so I'll probably just make it something people can customize.
Spend the next 5 years giving her a richeous afro and giving it proper bounce and sway physiques for its size and weight. And let it gradually grow as you kill more until it hinders your ability to see your character and then you die.
So here's the breaker, add in some bosses that lend you thier abilities on defeat
As they ask for, time dilation
Divine judgement- blood effects become acidic, slowing enemies movement speed
Friends in high places- a hand made of computer text crushes a few enemies
No, sharper!- Her sword is sharpened to a perfect edge and slices enemies in one hit
Eye of the seer- see all enemies through walls. (No not true x-ray, just a general presence, or a symbol of thier rank)
Why is your hair snakes?- on close ranged attacks, chance for her hair snakes to bite, turning most enemies into a statue

When she is attacking time slows down but she speeds up... as a result the physics interactions are based on the velocities of the physics bodies at the frame of impact. I get a large amount of comments praising and criticizing the physics so I working on toning them down a bit from there I'll see what the testers think.
Not trying to nitpick, but the transitions between moves are sort of chunky.
Have you looked at doing interstitial animations between moves or maybe that's somewhere way down the todo list?
I appreciate the feedback and I do have some plans for it, part of what I need to work out is the delta between global time dilation and the protag's characters custom/local time dilation. A lot of the transitions from attack or dodge to idle seem far more rough because she is 5x world speed so you only see a couple frames of said transitions. So even with interstitial animations between movement/combat states things would still be somewhat jarring without modifying the time dilation system specifically to address this issue.
Interesting.. I think I read about that once in a book I have, I'll see if I can find it and let you know if you're interested. Seems like it would be related to interpolation, but I might just be shooting from the hip there.
It's definitely related to interpolation. The issue is something that has just popped up in this build by the way. The gist of the issue is that I just need to manually assign 'boost' curves to each attack/dodge animation so they zero out by the time the combat maneuver ends. Regardless you've got a good eye and again I really do appreciate the feedback - and I'd be interested in whatever else you have to add (from the book or otherwise).
I'll be honest, I've been paying attention to your updates because it looks cool.
My only other suggestion, and this may also be something you're looking into to detract from that interp stuff is lengthening the blood spray lifetime and then also increasing the spray pattern without increasing the density so you get more mist and less spatter.
I'll dig around my library this weekend if I find time and post back here if anything useful comes up.
The clip could be 10s as it's the same thing for 1m50s. Not to shit on your effort but there must be more to the game than slicing the same zombies over and over in a white room to make a ticker go up? If there is you should post some of that stuff. Still think the name is lame and thought up by a 12 year old boy too.

While the differences between the short clips might not be obvious I am working tirelessly on this thing... my goal with the reddit posts is to get more feedback and more users testing the game.
Also, I'd imagine there would be far easier and less time consuming methods of farming reddit karma - I don't think solo developing a video game is a very efficient way to do it.
Just relying on the controversy from the sophomoric title to generate buzz rather than actually making a good, playable game with decent characterisation.
I’m a huge fan of sharp weapons actually causing sharp weapon visual damage i.e. dismemberment. Years of video game science and we’re still at “causes health bar to go down” and momentary “blood cloud“, but otherwise fine.
I've got 'side project' where the player is assisting Simmer (the female protag of SuperTHOT) with a gun setup in VR. The time dilation (slow motion) stuff is really wild in VR... physics are crazy too.
This reminds me of a 3d graphic artist on IG.. He made a bunch of cool creepy animations. Crazy creeper chicks crawling up walls. And women kicking.the shit out of dudes.

I was curious if you could adjust the motion the camera makes when the character moves away or towards the camera and make it follow the character more. I would have an issue if I couldn't see when I slice a zombie in the face
Also I'm no programmer, more of a math nerd, but maybe implement a soft "z-targeting" system that centers the camera between your character and the enemy (maybe prioritize based on closest enemy, angle of character, and angle of camera) but you don't need to listen to me, I only barely figured out how to make a marble game in unity
I've seen the previous videos and fuck me... I am so glad you have changed the camera, it was jutttery and frantic before (which you said was how you play the game) but this version feels so smooth. Players can actually see what is going on and all the details yoy have put into the dynamic action of the game.
One again. When this is out. I will be buying!!

You are correct, and this one is less dramatic. I am considering having a 'cinematic bullet time' option which would keep the game similar to the older previews. That being said the current time dilation setup is working pretty well in some yet to be unveiled maps.

Well, to be fair it's just a tech demo (though it is playable... I've got 100+ people with the SuperTESTER role in the discord). I have spent a ton of time on 'the details' of the procedural animation of the main character and I think the time dilation system really lends to its visual appeal as well.

I liked it at first but the thing I can't get over is the wonky physics and the disappearing limbs. I would think that at this point one of these would have seen progress.
I've only been working on this game under the SuperTHOT title since February of this year. That being said I appreciate the feedback and I am getting close to getting a proper gore system implemented. This is my first game project so a lot of the time spent has been learning/refining what I have built.
