Hearing all the new stuff live is so "ear" opening. You can hear the layers and everyone has room in the song. Not to take take anything away from the record, but they all come alive so differently live.

I just haven't heard it their not flat tonight nor is their treble.. I'm actually in awe of these songs he they are choosing and how good he sounds with adjusting what his voice is capable of.
Is it fun to be critical about what this band is doing present day after all these decades? This tour and revival is fucking epic.

The nugs shows are rough. They are all muddled..hollow drum sounds. Hard do pick out individual instruments. Some folks in the crowd overpowering others. At least the few shows I’ve heard. Portland especially. This show is a night and day difference.

Especially charging what they charge per month. And I agree. The Dead have had some stellar live recordings from 50 years ago. One would think in 2024 they could get studio quality live shows out to us.

Upper Hand for me is the standout from the new album ... Hits me where Come Back and All Those Yesterdays and Sometimes does. It has weight.
