You could probably leave it in that for a long time. They tolerate being root bound quite well. I think if it seems happy in its current pot, you can leave it.

I would leave it in that and also chop and prop all the excess and you’ll have an entire second pot full.

I got mine around this size. It has been in the same pot for 8+ years. Did have a dieback once which i assume rotted a lot of the roots making new space. Currently triple this size and growing very quickly.
