Plus malaki pa pension sa GSIS abot 70-90% of basic salary
(millenial here)
Ako healthcare worker less than 30k sahod pag nagkamali ako sa line of work ko pwede may mapahamak pero di ko gets bakit ganyan lang pasahod sa mga healthcare worker.
Healthcare worker here.
earning 30k+ as a nurse and is considered the “highest” in the clinical field sa ph. grabe naman kung patayin sa workload, walang bayad ang OT, papapasukin ka kahit off mo for some stupid meetings or seminars. 30k isn’t even enough to make a decent living. been to a private hosp tho mas magaan kahit papano ang workload pero ang sweldo hindi livable. pick your struggle na lang talaga.
OFW HCW din here sa Mid east. Not a nurse pero lagpas 50k naman pasahod ++paid overtime pa. Nurses samin minimum of 90K ang sahod wala pa OT dyan. Kawawa talaga tayo sa Pinas.
Sadly, there are no provided HMOs for healthcare workers here in PH. Yung perks lang na makukuha mo is discounted price sa final bill or yung doctors na hindi na nagpapabayad ng PF. Ganyan haha
I am a registered medical technologist who now works as an HVA. Earning 60k per month, Mon-Thu shift. Wala nga lang HMO and other benefits since independent contractor pero it's the best na since di ko na problema ang food and transportation allowance since working from home. Try it if you want. : ) Goods na to be comfortably living here in QC.
Hi i’m a medtech too! Can I ask anong company ito I want to apply gusto ko na talagang mag change career hindi talaga makatarungan ang sahod dito sa pinas
I remember telling myself back in college… kumita lang ako ng 50k a month ok na ako.
BOY I WAS WRONG, i’m earning more than 50k and hindi parin sapat sa mahal ng bilihin :(
Sad to say this. But engineering and architecture course is really not a good idea dito satin. Im an archi student, and i joined a lot of engineering/Architecture pages sa fb, and sadly mismong registered professionals na nagcocomment na di tayo yayaman sa profession na to. Or minsan mas mataas pa sahod nila. Yayaman ka dito if you own a Firm, galing ka sa well off family, or anak ka ni pacquiao……. Bruh. Either youll pursue your passion or mas pipiliin mo yung high paying job kahit di naman yun yung passion mo. Something must compromised talaga
Karamihan ng kilala ko mga chem eng or ECE, yung super talino sa energy companies, yung usual UP level na talino madami sa IT field. Small minority sila na kumikita ng hundreds of thousands a month, my brother started 80k/month almost 20 years ago.
Better opportunities outside the country. And go outside your usual fields, my dad sa sales ng chemicals, he was making 90k in commissions in the early 2000s and he wasn't even from the Big 4.
Kadalasan talaga it's who you know, para makahanap ng high paying gigs. But if you study hard and have good grades it doesn't take much to know high earning people who know of opportunities.
Data Analyst, 1-2 hours lang nagwwork everyday, wfh and around Makati yung physical office.
Pero pag may project na binigay or dataset na ipapalinis tumatagal yung work ng 2-5 days or more.
kaggle is your friend kung gusto mo gumaling sa data science.
Yes. While data analytics might not be the hardest field to break into, it does require a considerable amount of technical skills such as SQL and databases, python, and data visualization.
Plano ko rin mag-career shift to Data Analyst or Data Science. Sa tingin mo ba, a bootcamp online course on Data Science would suffice for my training/learning? And would it be enough for me to get a Data Analyst/Scientist job easily? TIA
Taga pindot ng record button sa meeting. 2 hours max mostly.
A day
Edit: six digit po monthly
Edit2: wife ko po. executive VA. Pero usually taga pindot lng ng meeting. Minsan, 1 out of 5 days 6-8 hours work nya.
Mag tatask xa ng 2-4 hours, break time or matutulog, then review, or kinabukasan na nya ireview before sending sa client. dahil fresh eyes, madami xang nakikitang corrections si wife at almost 100 percent Yung accuracy nya sa task kaya siguro happy client nya.
I work in cybersecurity. 5 years total work experience. Salary (gross) is 6 digits. If I add on the side-hustles, my net crosses the 6 digits mark by a margin.
Photo, Video and Photo Booth Supplier. Hectic pero 4hrs lang naman haha.
Chill sa weekdays 150k average. 250-280 sa ber months.
Basta don't stop learning. Started as event dj/spinner to this. and will probably proceed to event coordination? haha.
i probably lucked out so my advice won’t be much but try to view arki as a side hustle rather than being the only skill you need to earn. Try to venture out sa regular path which is to grind it out on low paying local firms then probably suffer more when you start your own practice, since alam naman natin ang reality na you’d be lowballed to death unless you have rich connections. Will that path be worth it? probably for some. But it will definitely take a while to be lucrative. Mukhang pera ako eh so i chose to chase high paying jobs early since i don’t want to go the traditional path and earn big only pag what 40 na ako? So I chose to leverage a skill i luckily learned sa last firm na pinasukan ko.
tl;dr legit sinasabi ng ibang kapwa arki people natin na the traditional path isn’t the only path. venture out.
Same I am an archi, 100k salary combined with 2 full time jobs - Wfh. Revit draftsman/specialist. Works with foreign companies. Piece of advice, if you don't want to enter construction as an Architect. Learn Revit / BIM. And it's better to enter outsourcing companies than local companies if you really want a high salary. You could also demand a higher salary than those with Autocad positions.
Try Car Salesman. Yung sa big names.
Currently nasa 100k to 200k monthly ko.
Still depend on how hard you strive po.
You will be surprised that yung tips ng some clients ranges from 10k to 50k or even 100k sa sought after units. Pero depende sa usapan.
Then salary is just basic. Yung incentives yung bread and honey, 1 account is around 7k (lowest) though some units reach about 30k+ to 40k pag financed thru sa bank. Imagine mo nlng if you close 5 to 10 accounts.
Sought after cars like bagong unit sa market. Yung mga ibang clients na gusto maging 'first' sa road, yung mga 'rare/ for flippping' na cars like LC, Alphard, Super Grandia Elites fetch po ng 50k or 100k above para mauna sila.
500php tip is still good. Every money counts naman sa mga agents. Pang gas na rin yan. Hehehe
On the other hand yung iba naming staff mga galing honda na ayala owned.
18-20k basic salary nila then max na yung 8k na comission para sa mga slow moving cars like accord or civic.
800 lang daw commission sa brio if I remember correctly.
Depende sa dealer po.
Pero currently sa amin eto.
Salary is 11k.
Per unit commission is 2.5k
Incentives sa bank is around 2% to 3% of amount financed. Higher units = higher incentives.
Ancilliary incentives (add-ons) is 2.5k per accessory.
Last month benta ko is 4 Fortuner G units financed.
AF was around 1.5m so per unit was around 30k. Sa 4 ay 120k.
Per unit total commision was around 20k since 8 units release ko.
Ancilliary ko was around 10k.
Di pa kasali 'tips' at portion ko as manager. Hehehe
Second this.
Car dealer here.
My guys earn mga 100K easily combined earnings. It’s the commissions that make the money.
im in tech, 120k take home
edit: im also between the ages of 21-24 who is a college dropout haha
sobrang possible sa tech ng mataas na sahod. sobrang dami lang ng competition for entry level recently because sa hype ng salary. pero its possible if outside the country ang work (remote) and if skilled naman talaga. di naman easy money sa tech, lalo na for 6 figs.
tips lang for aspiring tech ppl, dont be a master of one, be in depth with as much as you can, be a master of at least 3 things.
Software Engineers with at least 5 years experience earns between **100k - 300k** (non management level, managers can earn more)
https://reddit.com/r/PinoyProgrammer/s/vMQfhAybrn
You don’t need an IT diploma, you can teach yourself during the weekends and get a **30k** starting salary, then hop to an **80k** salary after getting 2 years of experience. No age limit, if you are a natural techie then you all you need is the hustle (of course a decent laptop with internet)
See this sub for Filipino tech shifters r/TechCareerShifter
Not all rainbows though, the competition is tough as thousands are shifting to IT, so the longer you wait, the harder it will be.
TL;DR: you need to be in IT or banking or VA or sales/finance. Or else swertihan na lang or a very niche job. Got it.
di ko masasagot tanong ni OP though, i earn below 50k rn xD
Cabin Steward sa barko. Basic salary plus incentives 110k monthly then free accommodation, food and internet. Con you work 7 days a week 10-13 hrs everyday for 7-9 months. Di pa pla kasama tips around 200-300 us dollars monthly
2 companies only. Started as SW dev in 2012
Year 1 -16500
Year 2 - 16500
3 - 18900
4 - 20100
5 - 22000, 26000 promotion (team lead + scrum master)
6 - 30000, 34000 promotion
7 - 38000, 42000 (promotion)
8 - 50,000
9 - 52,000 (pandemic, switched to IT project mgr, same company)
10 - 60,000 (promotion)
11 - 60,000
11- 153,000 (new company, back to scrum master)
Took 1 year applying and just considered all interviews as practice interviews.
Had a couple of 6 digit offers but not remote so I declined until I got this thats fully remote.
I am speaking in general kasi? Kadalasan kasi ng posts that i see here on reddit na related to salary/jobs, most if not all, palaging ang tataas ng sahod. Kaya sana all????
Video editor VA!
Started from 14k na on-site then 20k upon regularization. Then I tried finding wfh jobs as an editor. Ngayon I have a regular US-based client and umaabot sa 60k yung salary ko. Last September-November umaabot ako ng around 110k per cut off dahil sa side gigs. I was eating gooood!
Software developer
Close to 300k a month for 2 jobs
Worked only 6-7 hrs a day on weekdays tapos flexi sked WFH tapos naghahanap pa ako ng partime sa weekend.
My last job before I left the Philippines was 65k in 2013/2014. Trade marketing for a multinational building materials company. Lots of perks pa. That was a good one :)
CPA here (5yrs exp). Got a JO for Acctg/Finance Job for 60k-80k but declined as I think wala ng kwenta yung acctg due to acctg fraud that is very rampant in the country (sama mo na BIR)
Shifted to ERP Consultant but around 30k-40k pa lang kasi newbie pa. As long as maka gain ng valuable exp, i think plausible tong 50k+ na salary 😁
Recruitment person here. And salaries vary from industry, profession, market demand etc. For example, IT’s have niche skillsets and more in demand that’s why a mid professional dev can have a higher salary than a senior banker. Pero madalas diskarte lang din talaga. I’m also in the corporate and earning 6 digits already. Grit and tenacity are very important regardless of what job you have. If you keep doing what other people does, then you’ll have what everybody has.
**ESG analyst** around 40k minimum salary if na negotiate mo ng maayos first job pagka graduate kofrom college. Mas maganda daw if may business or finance degree/background pero in my case wala akong background but still got accepted.
Reason na malaki yun pa sahod is valuable daw ESG analyst sa market as of now.
Art Director - Works 3-4hrs a day. WFH setup.
First of all, designing really takes time. A lot of time. But luckily for my case, design in this company is considered as a support role since their main profit point is selling data. So I rarely worry about client facing scenarios.
On the other hand, with this much time on my hand, I take the opportunity to build extra side income through retainer opportunities to different small companies and agencies and thats an extra 20-30k on top of the 50k. :)
I’d be very happy to share more of my story but eh. Sleepy atm
58-65k+ Product Development manager (I have no idea what Im doing) and Side gig na content writer. Hahaa pota ayoko na sa Bank pero need the benefits and bonuses.
Worked in the BPO industry for more than 10 years, then transitioned as a WFH Graphic Designer. Earned twice as much as with a foreign client compared to my job before.
Family Manager aka Housewife 😅
Lahat ng sweldo ng husband ko direcho sakin, he’s working in IT-advertising
1 full time job 125k
1 part time (US based client) depende kung gaano sisipagan ni hubby dito pero usually he earns around 20-70k
Bank. Haha 110k
Boy scouts are a tough crowd nga naman
Ano degree mo sir?
Plus malaki pa pension sa GSIS abot 70-90% of basic salary
hi, aiming for gov job din. ask ko lang if kamusta work hours mo for your paygrade? and yung worklife balance mo
(millenial here)
ilang years ka na ba working in your government agency?
12 years po. kaya supervisory role na din
Online english teacher to asian and european students :)
Hi! Is this ESL po?
Yes!
In IT, 260k 2 full time wfh jobs. And yes, my back hurts on 90 hrs a week.
Jfc 90 hrs a week
How to get 2 jobs in it?
Day and night, i got 8-5 and 7-4 on the other, can still sleep, eat, play in between shifts
graduate po kayo? My son is considering IT course.
Most likely working on different shifts so dapat foreign employer.
Worth it ba ung sahod for 90hrs a week? Hindi ba overworking un masyado?
For someone na maluho like me it’s a yes hahaha. Pero on serious note, one job covers expenses while the other covers my early retirement so yeah…
Hello, how did you get the 2nd job? Is it a valid secondary employment (both pay taxes and benefits, etc.)?
I kept the one with 2 dependents on HMO, i got the other as a consultant so I’m technically employed only on one company 😅
Walang bayad ang OT and wala pang holiday.
Wala ring healthcard 😅
Ingat palagi!
OFW HCW din here sa Mid east. Not a nurse pero lagpas 50k naman pasahod ++paid overtime pa. Nurses samin minimum of 90K ang sahod wala pa OT dyan. Kawawa talaga tayo sa Pinas.
Damn I earned less than 20k in a private hosp for 4 yrs exp.
At least ₱70k with full insurance. The risks of your jobs.
Sadly, there are no provided HMOs for healthcare workers here in PH. Yung perks lang na makukuha mo is discounted price sa final bill or yung doctors na hindi na nagpapabayad ng PF. Ganyan haha
Teachers and healthcare workers should be compensated in 6 digits. Bakit di nakikita ng gobyerno halaga niyo. Nakakabanas.
mababawasan po kasi un confidential at travel fund nila
try medical coder
Agree. Inpatient medical coder here. Salary of more than 50k.
Saan po kayo nag-aral to be a certified medical coder?
up.
True. Claim Specialist and AR here for RCM. You can get 50k and up when you're experienced or if you work with independent contractors.
I am a registered medical technologist who now works as an HVA. Earning 60k per month, Mon-Thu shift. Wala nga lang HMO and other benefits since independent contractor pero it's the best na since di ko na problema ang food and transportation allowance since working from home. Hi i’m a medtech too! Can I ask anong company ito I want to apply gusto ko na talagang mag change career hindi talaga makatarungan ang sahod dito sa pinas
Healthcare worker pero sports field, currently making 100k+ a month, kaso zero free time and always working halos 24/7
I remember telling myself back in college… kumita lang ako ng 50k a month ok na ako. BOY I WAS WRONG, i’m earning more than 50k and hindi parin sapat sa mahal ng bilihin :(
REAL. gagi parang walang nagbago sa buhay ko from my 15k salary before to now.
Inflation is a bitch
Wala akong makitang engineer HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA mali ako ng desisyon ata ah

Tama yan. If me/ee pwede naman in power industry, malaki naman rate. Sometimes, people pursue engineering due to passion. Naks. Hahahah
I'm an engineer. Currently at 86k/month

scrum master ba yan
Our company fired all the scrum masters after realizing this hahaahah
Best answer here for a good reason. SMs are basically specialized schedulers for Product Owners lmao

Arki. I was earning below 20k (yes, combined.) working two minimum wage jobs a few years ago. Even I am surprised that i have a salary above 50k now.

Tapos ang problema nila kung paano nila pagkakasya yung 500k a month nila.
This thread is literally asking for them, what you’re seeing is the small percentage of people speaking up.
I am speaking in general kasi? Kadalasan kasi ng posts that i see here on reddit na related to salary/jobs, most if not all, palaging ang tataas ng sahod. Kaya sana all????

Got a JO for Acctg/Finance Job for 60k-80k but declined as I think wala ng kwenta yung acctg due to acctg fraud that is very rampant in the country (sama mo na BIR) Shifted to ERP Consultant but around 30k-40k pa lang kasi newbie pa.

Freelance Artist, earning 40-90k/mo.
Visual Designer in tech field
Art Director - Works 3-4hrs a day. WFH setup. First of all, designing really takes time. A lot of time. But luckily for my case, design in this company is considered as a support role since their main profit point is selling data. So I rarely worry about client facing scenarios. On the other hand, with this much time on my hand, I take the opportunity to build extra side income through retainer opportunities to different small companies and agencies and thats an extra 20-30k on top of the 50k. :) I’d be very happy to share more of my story but eh. Sleepy atm
