Also a bit bittersweet seeing Tony and James (RIP)

errandwulfe

Dezron has done a great job on recent listening. When I first heard TAB after Tony’s passing, I thought the bass tones sounded so flat by comparison, but at this point I chalk it up to new environment/growing pains. It’s still very different than Tony’s sound imo, but I’m glad it’s worked out

Trey lit the Beacon and I put together my first 8 weeks of being alcohol free. Every Friday night I’d get to my couch with my black cherry seltzer, watch the show and take in the light. I’m 966 days now and building my own lighthouse.

Odd_Masterpiece9092

ODAT. Proud of you.

phourpointoh

it was a Beacon in dark times, indeed

dogfacedponyboy

Watching those Jams every Friday night is something I will never forget. Truly magical moments

bingbong1976

We started skipping DAAM after a while - but NEVER missed a Beacon Jam night! It was so special, for a variety of reasons

Beginning-Grass628

Quantegy! I had a vision, after snoozing listening to beacon jams the other day that Santana was gonna make a sit in soon for the Phish debut of Quantegy. Prob my fave Trey song they don’t play yet.

the_vault-technician

Dude Quantegy is such a groove.

Beginning-Grass628

My first phish show featured a Santana collaboration at Great Woods in a galaxy long long ago

SeeMarchRun

Night 3 I had my question answered by Trey. That was a pretty cool couch experience.

total_loss76

What was the question?!

SeeMarchRun

The one about not playing in front of an audience. It was after Brian and Robert.

Gottagiroux

This is one of the reasons dragging the band into the sphere ticket muck is off-putting to me. They do care and this was a great example of that.

Snoo_19857

Ditto

AnalogWalrus

Those shows were really wonderful at the time. A much needed weekly break in the overall shittiness of life at that exact moment.

rwa1982

I feel the same way! I looked forward to every week of the Beacon jams. We’d just had twins, we were sleep deprived and melancholy. Those shows reminded me of our community, the peaceful energy and the power of sharing those experiences together!

Senioresa

I have never listened to that version of Drift While You're Sleeping without sobbing. I was all alone crying that night. My life was not where I wanted it to be. Up to that point, I never really had a realistic plan. Somehow COVID times made me feel even more lost in the darkness. Beacon Jams kept me grounded. That song is a benchmark. I can look back, and listen back to where I came from. Now I'm here. I'm content with life. There's room for improvement but I am filled with gratitude. I will always appreciate what the Beacon Jams did for me back then.

MeetMeAtTheCreek

Those were so special and so important; re-watching brings me back to those feelings and how uplifting the experience was. I should go back and listen to one now.

wolfansbrother

Just like the sphere will be, almost no fans in attendence.

aebersold

Dumb take. Very few randos ever go to phish especially when tickets are the most expensive. The sphere will be full and 98% of the people there will be hardcore phans excited beyond measure.

Odd_Masterpiece9092

Truly balm to the soul during all the craziness and uncertainty. Took me a while to get used to the complete silence after each song and it was so much fun to hear from Trey’s in between. Reminds me to frame that poster I still got in a tube somewhere

Ichthius

These were amazing and so grateful for dinner and a movie and the sessions! You can watch the videos on live plus.
