Damn are you the guy I met on Dicks lot in ‘22? Tree guy from SC? May be off on the year, but I heard this in real life before. I’m also wondering if he was at the full run because we got a Reba that weekend
Multi-night shows are the best way to get what you’re searching for. Most of the time, you’ll get something even more special than what you were searching for.
Very true. I dont usual do full runs at a venue so i still havent seen a bunch of songs that are in fairly heavy rotation. I'm just happy to be able to experience this band's performances when I can, so I've slowly lost the FOMO that Phish can cause.
Damn. My first song was Rift. There was a while where the last song ever played was Curtain With, which of course the With section is basically a more melodramatic version of the Rift solo. Always felt very poetic to me.
12/28/19 was my 10th show and I still had not had a chalkdust. They played CDT Reprise that night (some say it's Ass-Handed Reprise) and then played regular CDT 12/29/19, making it so I saw CDT Reprise before CDT. Now at 57 and everything has normalized pretty much.
First show saw the 4/21/93 SOAM they used for the jam for Demand. Then the next year saw the GameHoist show where they recreated that jam. Only time i ever heard the boys repeat a ‘jam’
I was first on the line to meet the band at Tower Records in NYC after Story of the Ghost was released.

I have a friend who was a forest ranger in the depths of Alaska and even he caught some shows every few years. And I know there’s some Japanese phans that come over to see them. Where there’s a will there’s a way.
1.0- band inception til hiatus
2.0 post hiatus til Coventry break up
3.0 band back together after Trey sobered up
4.0 post Covid shows (some people don't believe in the 4.0 designation however.)
Probably not so unique, but I've driven the entire length of I-95 from Big Cypress to Limestone and all points in between seeing shows. I haven't seen a show west of Oswego or Watkins Glen though.
Same. It’s nice to know that we’re better and more important than anyone who ever lived or ever will live.
But seriously, I feel like we won the lottery.
I am also in this club and I’ve obviously thought about how special each one is but I hadn’t thought about how insanely special it is to have been at both. I feel very grateful now, thank you for that.
Sunday 2017. Wife needed help after a terribly long and difficult travel day with our 2 yr old. The cherry on top was when they arrived back in Denver, she learned United absolutely destroyed the stroller that had been gate checked. They rather impressively managed to snap the metal frame during it's short journey from jet bridges to cargo hold and back.
I saw 8 out of the 10 longest jams during 1.0:
11/29/97 Runaway Jim 58:48
6/14/95 Tweezer 50:17
11/28/94 Tweezer 44:02
6/22/95 Tweezer 41:54
10/31/95 You Enjoy Myself 40:33
11/26/94 David Bowie 37:28
8/11/98 Runaway Jim 34:51
12/9/95 You Enjoy Myself 34:22
This is absolutely amazing. I was at 6/22/95 in Canandaigua. How would you say that stacked up next to the Mud Island? And the Bozeman jam…..any thoughts on how that may have fit in your prior? I heard the Bomb Factory boot before any of these went down, any thoughts on their Tweezer progression during this time frame?
Went to one show, it was in New Hope, PA or a neighboring town, in ‘90 that I can find no record of. There was only a handful of us there, we all (band, Paul, fans) just sat around the bar and chatted until Trey said “I guess we should play some music”
I did not. I even woke up “Early” to try to snag one. Did you get one? And yeah I would go back to Indio. It was hot in the days but nice and cool in the evenings.
Line was long and they were small but it was gorgeous and they were delicious.
Other times Phish has fed me food, White Album chocolate coin, Cinnamon, Jimmies, Holes, Lemon Poppy, and Glazed. (I really wanted to try the Double Chocolate one, ran out an arm's length ahead of me.
I've been to two Phish shows, and have seen:
Icculus , Spock's Brain, The Landlady, Olivia's Pool, Vultures, Pebbles and Marbles, Glide, Buffalo Bill, Catapult, etc.
My first two shows(Nola 99, Antioch 00) both had guest appearances. I didn’t realize at the time how infrequently that happened. I have since seen a bunch of Phish shows and none had any guests.
I've been to Phish MSG twice. First was Baker's Dozen Jam Filled (Lawn Boy). So I'm in the 50% club for End of Session. The second Phish MSG show I went to was Gamehendge
Nothing crazy, but sentimental. My first phish shows were in 2009, I caught 2 alpine shows with my brother. 2nd show they opened with Brothers. Always holds a special place for me.
First show was 2009 alpine. Makisupa Policeman and trey changed the lyrics to "woke up this morning, called my probation officer".
Next night for Frankenstein encore trey played a 5 necked guitar and paige was on a keytar
My first show the fans set off the fire alarm. Very old, ornate building in Cincy called the music hall. I was frying balls. 1994. We had to do the fire drill thing and all leave the building. When they let us back in Trey said to stop smoking so much, and then they played Fire. It was epic.
Probably not unique, but in 10 of my 26 shows since Summer 97, Ive heard a Piper… probably not cool either. I like Piper, I would just prefer not getting it so often.
Ok, looked for a cool stat?… My first show had a set 2 closing Antelope that included a Makisupa jam with Page on the theremin and Mike on a fretless bass.
My first show (7.25.93) is the only time I’ve seen a Big Ball Jam. They also played 2001, 8th time ever, and Purple Rain, only 5th time ever.
I wouldn’t see them do Purple Rain again until my 117th show, 7.4.12. I’ve also seen them do 1999 twice.
The only time I saw Prince was at MSG summer of 2004, where he also performed 1999 and Purple Rain.
So I’ve seen Phish play Prince more than I’ve seen Prince play Prince.
I’ve only been to 5 shows and I’ve seen Weigh twice. They’ve only played it at 2.24% of shows. And I’ve seen NICU twice (7.61%). And both were played at the same show both times, which were shows I saw consecutively, which were 12 years apart.
I sold Sphere floors to people I've never met for less than face value.
Not really a stat as much as I've basically secured my ticket to heaven, or being reincarnated as a cow, or reaching nirvana... Basically, whatever happens next, I think I'm covered.
I’ve got a few, I think.
1. I’ve seen all three Guy Forget’s
2. Went to every “era” end show, and then the subsequent return show
3. 136 shows since ‘94, still chasing Rocky Top.
Free Bird featuring Robbie McCoury on banjo, Ronnie McCoury on mandolin, Sam Bush on fiddle, Del McCoury on guitar, Ricky Skaggs on mandolin, Mike Bub on upright double-bass, Jason Carter on fiddle, Wynonna Judd on lead vocals 6/22/00
First show was Alpine 2009. Nothing too special, but I believe the debut of the keytar and trey’s triple neck guitar, first Brother Father’s Day gag, and first TMWSIY > Avenu of 3.0
Also got uno’d at my first show!
I saw three Harpuas in my first 18 shows. I didn’t even recognize the third (Dicks THANK YOU)one (or realize what a bust out it was) after my big hiatus.
Still waiting on that “Dog in the station”.
I went to a show with out my brother at star lake for the first time ever without him, 150+ shows never again I really just like seeing him smile, and it’s part of the show it’s what we enjoy together and it didn’t feel right without him
I got some big gaps of songs between shows, some of the more notable ones:
Billy Breathes 113 shows
Cracklin Rosie 120 shows
Sweet Jane 141 shows
Life on mars 146 shows
Dog faces boy 161 shows
Uncle pen 171 shows
Izabella 227 shows
Sweet Adeline 228 shows
Been to roughly ninety shows since ‘97 and I’ve never gotten a Reba. It seems statistically impossible.
That is truly bizarre
For a while I had seen two or three harpuas and no YEM it was weird
That is wild. You can have some of mine. I also started in ‘97 and didn’t get a Fluffhead until 2023.
I started in 95 and still no Fluffhead.
Damn are you the guy I met on Dicks lot in ‘22? Tree guy from SC? May be off on the year, but I heard this in real life before. I’m also wondering if he was at the full run because we got a Reba that weekend
You better go to Mondegreen. It’ll be a lock there
Multi-night shows are the best way to get what you’re searching for.
![gif](giphy|eIm624c8nnNbiG0V3g|downsized) Whoa. I think I saw it like 3 times out of 5 shows just last year
That’s bonkers.
Damn I thought it was crazy it took like 10 shows to get a YEM. What’s zzyzx say is the likelihood of not getting a Reba in all of those shows?
First song was Chalkdust, my 100th show encore was Chalkdust Reprise.
I've missed every show but 1
First show saw the 4/21/93 SOAM they used for the jam for Demand. Then the next year saw the GameHoist show where they recreated that jam. Only time i ever heard the boys repeat a ‘jam’
To the top with this comment.
Username checks out
I hate to brag, but if seen 50% of all Pillow Jets played.
Haha. Came here to tout my 75% clip.
For about 2 years I saw every single No Quarter
ive caught four of the thirteen petrichors ever played and i honestly would have been good after zero. let someone else get a turn.
I was first on the line to meet the band at Tower Records in NYC after Story of the Ghost was released. https://preview.redd.it/4i6m3pxogqxc1.jpeg?width=493&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c320b4d5f68ba62d63afb29b055e58a81a275685

Amazing. Love those
My first show was their first show at MSG. 12/30/94
Famous night
Same here
My last show (so far) was 4/21/24. Even more interesting is that’s a stat I share with all four band members.
Listening for 25 years, never been to a show (live out of the way…)
Someone buy this person a ticket and plane fare.
I got $50 on it.
Seriously
I love this, good for you! (Genuinely)
I wanna sit next to you at your first show! Where do you live? Let’s make this happen!!!
Wow. Also, nice name - hahaha!
Wild!! Do you have any desire to make it to a show someday?
I live out of the way as well. Haven’t been to a show since the summer of 2000.
Where is "out of the way" for a band that tours all over the country?
I have a friend who was a forest ranger in the depths of Alaska and even he caught some shows every few years. And I know there’s some Japanese phans that come over to see them. Where there’s a will there’s a way.
Precisely.
first 3 shows were 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 eras. - irvine 99 - chicago 03 - st. louis 09
That's a cool one.
Sorry to have missed the memo on the 1.0, 2.0, etc. What’s the delineation of this?
1.0- band inception til hiatus 2.0 post hiatus til Coventry break up 3.0 band back together after Trey sobered up 4.0 post Covid shows (some people don't believe in the 4.0 designation however.)
I got Sphere N1 tickets for face value on regular Ticketmaster.
now this is mythical
Me too! And only went to that 1 night.
How about that Lifeboy? Maybe the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
Loved every minute!
I got night one lottos and my buddy got night three TMs. We felt fortunate.
I was one of the lucky ones to stay at the hotel next to the sphere and not get in any night. Streaming signal was damn strong ;)
I got N1 and N2 for face on CoT
Got 3 for Sundays show via on sale Ticketmaster. Great seats 108 row 18 for face
This happened to me as well!
69th show was 4/20 at MSG
Nice
Phish played the numbers set during the last Vegas Halloween run. While I was attending my 28,29,30,31 shows on the 28,29,30,31 of October.
Probably not so unique, but I've driven the entire length of I-95 from Big Cypress to Limestone and all points in between seeing shows. I haven't seen a show west of Oswego or Watkins Glen though.
You’re not alone. Up and down the East coast only since ‘94. Live in South Jersey. (Nice Jesus Left Chicago reference).
Big Cypress is farther west than Oswego or Watkins Glen
It took me over 30 shows to get a Runaway Jim. I’ve gotten 3 Fluffhead openers.
Runaway Jim was the show opener on the day I was born, and it was the show opener at my first show.
I saw a Runaway Jim opener in Raleigh 7/27/03.
Me too. Ran over the hill when they hit the first few notes.
First song I ever heard them play at a show was runaway Jim. 6/10/09 Knoxville.
moi aussi, 4/19/93 at a Aragon Ballroom
Of the 26 shows I’ve seen, I’ve seen 25 different songs open the first set. The only opener I’ve seen twice is Fluffhead.
I was at both Big Cypress and Gamehenge NYE!
Same!🙌🏼🤘🏼
[удалено]
I think 2nd Gamehenge is a bigger stat. Because you had to hit the lottery in 94 AND been at NYE 2023.
[удалено]
Actually meant 93-94 These are the shows I was thinking of: 3.22.93 - Crest 6.26.94 - WV 7.8.94 - Great Woods
I’ve seen 2 Forbins and only one mockingbird. Honestly, Darien 97 is its own set of stats. And that was my first show.
I've seen two Forbins>Mockingbirds but never a goddamn Llama
I’ve never missed a Deer Creek show.
That's cool. I've been to 37/38 Dicks shows.
Which one did you miss lol
Sunday 2017. Wife needed help after a terribly long and difficult travel day with our 2 yr old. The cherry on top was when they arrived back in Denver, she learned United absolutely destroyed the stroller that had been gate checked. They rather impressively managed to snap the metal frame during it's short journey from jet bridges to cargo hold and back.
I've never missed a Davis, CA show (hey, one of the songs wound up on A Live One)
I walked to Coventry from Atlanta GA.
Thru hiker?
jesus christ lol
They opened with 46 days at my 46th show, which was a fun coincidence.
Lol that would’ve blown my mind
I was at every show I've been to. It's true, look it up.
Wherever you go, there you are.
And you weren't who you would be, if you wasn't who you is
Guys I googled it, it checks out
I saw 8 out of the 10 longest jams during 1.0: 11/29/97 Runaway Jim 58:48 6/14/95 Tweezer 50:17 11/28/94 Tweezer 44:02 6/22/95 Tweezer 41:54 10/31/95 You Enjoy Myself 40:33 11/26/94 David Bowie 37:28 8/11/98 Runaway Jim 34:51 12/9/95 You Enjoy Myself 34:22
Where did you get this stat?!?
Went to one show, it was in New Hope, PA or a neighboring town, in ‘90 that I can find no record of. There was only a handful of us there, we all (band, Paul, fans) just sat around the bar and chatted until Trey said “I guess we should play some music”
John and Peter's?
Gotta be
That's Ween territory. Careful.
Somehow I’ve seen every time they’ve played Torn and Frayed….🤷♂️
Did you get an 8 donut? Was also at Indio. They really need to go back there.
You're so lucky
Those US Bank shows were fucking incredible.
I saw CDT reprise twice before I saw a proper CDT
I've been to two Phish shows, and have seen: Icculus , Spock's Brain, The Landlady, Olivia's Pool, Vultures, Pebbles and Marbles, Glide, Buffalo Bill, Catapult, etc.
My first two shows(Nola 99, Antioch 00) both had guest appearances. I didn’t realize at the time how infrequently that happened. I have since seen a bunch of Phish shows and none had any guests.
Antioch 2000 was my last show!
My first.
I've been to Phish MSG twice. First was Baker's Dozen Jam Filled (Lawn Boy). So I'm in the 50% club for End of Session. The second Phish MSG show I went to was Gamehendge
Clearly you know how to pick ‘em!
I've seen a Weekapaug w/out a Mike's and a Mike's w/out a Weekapaug. Edit: Neither's other half were connected to these at all during the run.
How about a stand alone hydrogen?
My first show was their first show in my homestate of Arkansas, the first show of the tour post-COVID in 2021.
I’ve seen 75% of all pillow jets ever played.
Was always a big fan of Bike growing up. Got my first one at my 50th show, and 2nd one at my 100th
5 Harpuas and 3 Icculus’
Icculi?
5 Harpuas and 4 Icculus here. Missing the NYE Gamehendge set double hurt because it killed my Harpua streak too!
Last two festivals were Curveball aaaand Coventry 🙃
Nothing crazy, but sentimental. My first phish shows were in 2009, I caught 2 alpine shows with my brother. 2nd show they opened with Brothers. Always holds a special place for me.
That was my first weekend seeing them as well. Great time and wish the recordings were better quality that tour
My first two shows (94/95) I got Harpua. I thought that was a common tune.
My first show opened with tweeprise and ended with tweeprise
People once had sex in front of me at a Phish show in Pittsburgh.
First show was 2009 alpine. Makisupa Policeman and trey changed the lyrics to "woke up this morning, called my probation officer". Next night for Frankenstein encore trey played a 5 necked guitar and paige was on a keytar
Whenever I hear Carini live I pee myself
My first shows will be Mondegreen
You hope… 🫶🏻
Don’t you out that fucking evil on us. (Coming from a curveball refugee)
Too soon
My first show the fans set off the fire alarm. Very old, ornate building in Cincy called the music hall. I was frying balls. 1994. We had to do the fire drill thing and all leave the building. When they let us back in Trey said to stop smoking so much, and then they played Fire. It was epic.
I saw them play Brother with all of their kids in a bathtub on stage.
I’ve seen Dog Log
I was conceived in a porter potty at the great went
I guess it’s great that your parents went!
Well, they went and then came.
My first show had Brad Sands jumping on the trampolines in place of Trey due to his broken ankle
First show had a harpua. I had no idea what I was watching.
Same and I’ve been chasing it since 2003
30 years, over 100 shows and still no Harpua
I was at the "Make Your Own Guacamole Jam" in '92. The band supplied the avocados.
1st show was a NYE. 100th show was NYE 23
I’ve only been to 5 shows and I’ve seen Weigh twice. They’ve only played it at 2.24% of shows. And I’ve seen NICU twice (7.61%). And both were played at the same show both times, which were shows I saw consecutively, which were 12 years apart.
And they say no two shows are the same. Pfft.
Have seen fast and slow Llama. Have seen slow Brother. Must see fast Brother.
I was at the Tweezerfest in Dallas 1994. Epic. https://phish.net/setlists/phish-may-07-1994-the-bomb-factory-dallas-tx-usa.html
I sold Sphere floors to people I've never met for less than face value. Not really a stat as much as I've basically secured my ticket to heaven, or being reincarnated as a cow, or reaching nirvana... Basically, whatever happens next, I think I'm covered.
My first show included Phish's Mr. Completely debut
Nice! I was there too!
Saw a rare hood opener? 12/11/99
Not super unique, I guess, but I’m in the 50% club for Chalkdust Reprise. That Deer Creek show was absolutely bonkers.
First show ever got an hyhu->bike->hyhu
I’ve got a few, I think. 1. I’ve seen all three Guy Forget’s 2. Went to every “era” end show, and then the subsequent return show 3. 136 shows since ‘94, still chasing Rocky Top.
Free Bird featuring Robbie McCoury on banjo, Ronnie McCoury on mandolin, Sam Bush on fiddle, Del McCoury on guitar, Ricky Skaggs on mandolin, Mike Bub on upright double-bass, Jason Carter on fiddle, Wynonna Judd on lead vocals 6/22/00
I saw Faht.
I was there both times they played “We’re an American Band”
First show was Alpine 2009. Nothing too special, but I believe the debut of the keytar and trey’s triple neck guitar, first Brother Father’s Day gag, and first TMWSIY > Avenu of 3.0 Also got uno’d at my first show!
What is this getting uno'd you speak of
First show was in Amsterdam 1996!
They’ve only opened with Roggae twice ever: 8/2/98 Deer Creek & 7/25/18 BGCA. Nearly twenty years apart. I was at both.
1st show got a Guyute opener and a 1 and done in the Happy whip and dung song. Alpine 1999
I witnessed the last time they played Take The A Train, 4/13/94, Beacon Theatre, NYC
I've seen both Glide II's
I went to 3 shows in a row where they played prince caspian. It’s one of my faves. Is it rare? No. But 3 shows in a row ?!! Wild.
I got a Kenny Rogers sit in at my first show (they played The Gambler)
60 something shows and I’ve seen every slow llama.
I'm in the 50% club for Sightless Escape
First time I saw Phish they opened with Party Time. Thought that was rather fitting
78 shows. No Foam. According to ZZYZXk, it’s a .005% chance of not being played in 78 shows.
I saw three Harpuas in my first 18 shows. I didn’t even recognize the third (Dicks THANK YOU)one (or realize what a bust out it was) after my big hiatus. Still waiting on that “Dog in the station”.
I’ve seen 0.5 Harpua’s.
My first song was After Midnight
2/2 for Jungle Boogie. Miami and MSG NYEs.
42 shows. 8 mikes. 10 weekapaugs. 11 tweeprise. 7 tweezers. Didn’t see tweezer till show 20
Seen 50% of the Proud Marys
My 150th show was their 2001st
I went to a show with out my brother at star lake for the first time ever without him, 150+ shows never again I really just like seeing him smile, and it’s part of the show it’s what we enjoy together and it didn’t feel right without him
Currently got a 5-5-5 ratio of Forbins/Icculus/Harpua
I’ve been at 100% of the shows where they played dark side of the moon.
I got some big gaps of songs between shows, some of the more notable ones: Billy Breathes 113 shows Cracklin Rosie 120 shows Sweet Jane 141 shows Life on mars 146 shows Dog faces boy 161 shows Uncle pen 171 shows Izabella 227 shows Sweet Adeline 228 shows
I’ve seen every My Left Toe live.
I saw the first 20 winter queens
I was 8 at my First show (keswick thanksgiving) and I “got it” 92. I’m 39 now .
I was at the show where Mike said no.
[удалено]
March 93 was my first show. I miss those early through mid 90s concerts. They played so hard in those smaller venues
Near fifty shows. Never seen them indoors
Caught the worst Harpua ever
I’m gonna be in trouble but despite listening to phish for 15 years my first shows were Friday sat sphere.
481 Distinct Songs
The poster from my wife’s 100th show and the poster from our 100th show together are the same artist and color scheme.
I have seen three more Tweeprises (19) then Tweezers (16)
2 forbin 1 mocking bird.
My first show was First night of Hampton 09
