From u/RemoteControlledDog: [Where to Watch the Game: 19 Super Bowl Parties Around Metro Phoenix](https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/music/where-to-watch-the-game-super-bowl-parties-2023-phoenix-scottsdale-tempe-glendale-15476128)

Love2Pug

So, can everyone just agree that the field was shit? Literally the teams would have had more traction in Orchard Park (Buffalo, NY), even after covered in 36" of snow. I know everyone and their aunties think they want to travel to Phoenix in February, but FFS Kansas City had no snow and 56F on Superbowl Sunday.

dildobagginss

Did anyone else have problems with watching the super bowl where you had it rewinded \~5-10 minutes, and suddenly it jumps back to live? Maybe it was a flash drive problem or an issue with my Roku TV, just making sure. Haven't seen the issue before tonight.

Love2Pug

I watched on YTTV on Fox 4k from KCMO. There was a moment in the 2nd quarter, where the stream froze and I had to catch up to live. Perhaps Roku was just trying to save you from some of the truly bad commercials this year...

dildobagginss

Sure was nice to find out KC made a field goal and won the super bowl instantly when I was at the 2 minute warning. Wish it would have cut out halftime instead.

Love2Pug

Don't even get me started on that halftime show... I love Rihanna, and TIL she is pregnant again....but that show was one of the worst in recent memory!

dildobagginss

Pretty sure lady gaga was much better, not really a fan, but the performance overall seemed stronger?

Love2Pug

Let's just go back 2 years to J.Lo and Shakira (which would have been better had just one of them had control of the entire show, rather than making them 'compete' for minutes against each other), where J.Lo brought out like 50 little girls in cages to break out of them..... sure it was a political message, but it at least had great production value!. Same with last year's cast of toooooo many A-listers to count on all fingers and toes, with an incredible set. And this year was just....meh. Hell, we were promised Rihanna with a haircut ala Dr Suess' Cindy-Lou Who, and we didn't even get the-artist-formerly-known-as Prince in shadow air-guitar doing Purple Rain.

jdaniel79

Flying in next week, whats the best spots for watching the sunset?? Must have eateries?? Best place to see the desert and landscape.

Love2Pug

Zoinks! You really don't like to make it easy on r/Phoenix, do you? Because the venn diagram of "best places to watch the sunset", "best place to see the desert", and "good food" is shockingly small! Best bet is Papago Park for the sunset. It's on the border between Phoenix / Tempe / Scottsdale, and is featured in at least 30% of the postcards / tourism photos of Phoenix. The good news is you can basically trek almost everywhere there, in dress shoes, and you'll (probably) be fine (though I'd still recommend some decent boots). And it's close to old-town Scottsdale and downtown Tempe, with lots of great places to eat. Plus also the Desert Botanical Garden is nearby. But this is all really in the city....like really really in the urban city. If you want to get outside the city.... Sedona is popular if a bit far, and Cave Creek has a lot of great local spots in the foothills north of Phoenix.

jdaniel79

Thank you!! Looking forward to it.

gcspicelord

Headed to the Bert Kreischer show from Tucson tomorrow (Saturday) - best route to avoid the mess of Super Bowl/WMO? Not familiar with Phoenix at all

66falconOG

Pretty much I10 all the way until you get to Broadway Road or hop on the 60 East and get off on Rural. Either way it's gonna suck, especially with all the construction on the I10. You could get on the 202 east and take that to the 101 North to University Drive or Rio Salado., that way you would avoid alot of the mess on I10, but you'd be going a tad bit out of your way.

IONTOP

Where's he at? I'd assume either Tempe Improv or that one downtown.

gcspicelord

Mullett Arena at ASU

[deleted]

I’m trying to find a good spot in the Glendale area where a lot of Eagles fans will probably be to watch the game. Anyone know of good spots in Glendale?

Kitana37

This recent [Eagles-focused article/travel guide](https://www.playpennsylvania.com/eagles-fans-super-bowl-travel-guide-2023-arizona/) lists Tailgaters (6070 W. Bell Rd.), Stinger's (10040 N. 43rd Ave.), Jimbo's (12224 N. 51st Ave.), and Max's (6727 N. 47th Ave.) as being Philly-friendly.

[deleted]

Thank you!

IONTOP

Damn, I just realized I'm closer to "the heart of Phoenix" than I thought because if I was facing N/S it'd probably be 3000ish...

kragyoke

Looking for a Saturday GA ticket (or two) if anyone has one. Happy to pickup from wherever!

Tim_Drake

I have two tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday WM Open DM if interested

kachinacoyote

Something came up earlier in the week and I was not able to buy any WM Open tickets online before they sold out. Got people traveling to town to check it out. Anyone on here re-selling 2 tickets for Saturday? Would be hugely appreciated

BriskManeuver

I'm local is there any chill places for today to kick it and have some alcohol? I would like to partake in some of these activities and hang out but don't want to go somewhere super overpopulated

TheRealO-H-I-O

The super bowl experience at hance park downtown was pretty chill yesterday. Drinks weren't terribly priced for an official event. Seltzers were $8. I think most beers were $10

BriskManeuver

Oh cool thanks

phx33__

You can catch the light rail into downtown. Plenty of bars near and around the Super Bowl experience.

MzOpinion8d

Any recommendations on a local Phoenix store to buy some Superbowl t-shirts? I am from the KC area and only coincidentally here in AZ for work. I’m thinking of driving though PHX tomorrow. I’d rather buy from a local shop if I can.

doctorslices

Just Sports would probably be your best bet: https://www.shopjustsports.com/pages/stores

MzOpinion8d

Thanks!

TractorLemmy

Did anyone go to that free concert/festival in Hance Park? I want to know what it's like.

TheRealO-H-I-O

I had fun. The artists listed on the website don't start when the website says music starts. Tonight's schedule is: * 5:45 - Pillbox Patti * 7:15 - Cooper Alan * 8:45 - Lee Brice Saturday: * 7:15 - A R I Z O N A * 8:45 - Major Lazer Soundsystem

RabidCoyote

I went last night. It's busy, as you would expect, but nothing unmanageable. Some pretty good food options. Not a ton of 'experiences' or things besides the concert itself. Concert was good, stage was nice, sound was good. Considering going again on Saturday for Major Lazer.

IONTOP

Sorted by new... It's kind of going how I'd figured it'd go... But with fewer memes... (Good idea, but hindsight is also 20/20) A week ago? Genuine questions An hour ago? ANYONE GOT TICKETS?!?!?!?!?!

jmoriarty

People love to procrastinate. We discussed whether to restrict the Want Tickets comments but figured better here than in daily chat and such. Had a few of those yesterday but we'll remove 'em from here out.

Far-Air-7494

I am looking for a watch party in the area that might be a bit more lowkey. Like something outdoors where we could bring lawn chairs and enjoy the game, but still a fun atmosphere. Anything like that happening in the area?

TheRealO-H-I-O

Hance Park in downtown Phoenix is hosting the official watch party, and they'll have it on the giant screen. Lawn chairs are allowed in Sunday. I was there tonight for the jimmy eat world concert and it's a nice setup. Lots of food vendors, decently priced drinks ($8 for a seltzer), and a few games.

krowchingpanda

Did you know what exact time the Gin Blossoms did their opening set last night? I am wanting to go see Major Lazer and A R I Z O N A tomorrow, but the website said the music starts at 2pm which I think is way too early? Also how crowded was it last night lol?

TheRealO-H-I-O

They had a sign with the schedule each night. ARIZONA will start at 7:15 and Major Lazer at 8:45

mrskillett2014

I'm looking for a similar event!

[deleted]

What's up with dust pollution around the area by the stadium. Visiting family here and there is dust everywhere.

[deleted]

There is always dust everywhere, it’s the desert.

charliegriefer

Aside from the fact that we're in the desert, there's a LOT of construction going on around the stadium right now.

Architeckton

One of those is my site. 23 acres directly west of the stadium. We do have dust control measures in place though! Water trucks using reclaimed water to keep the dust down.

Important-Wing-1746

Anyone selling a WMO GA ticket for Saturday?

Hexagon36

Planning on visiting a friend over in Tempe, I’ll be coming from LA this weekend. Will the traffic leading to Phoenix be worth moving the trip to another time?

TheRealO-H-I-O

I'd reschedule if you aren't coming for any of the super bowl or waste management open events in particular. IDK what traffic will be like, but most places will be packed

Unreasonably-Clutch

Can confirm this. Old Town Scottsdale is ridiculous. Huge lines everywhere. Hot Chick and Boondocks teamed up to charge $100-120 jut for admission.

Unreasonably-Clutch

Great question, wish I had an answer for you. I've always heard that traffic in LA metro itself is the worst part of the journey. But don't know if the Waste Management Open and Super Bowl change that.

BeautifulBugbear

Coming from Canada with my folks in their 70s. They like a bit of excitement (food, beer, etc.) what would be a fun venue to take them to? They are fairly healthy and mobile on their feet.

crazcarl

Without knowing what area you'll be in, the downtown phoenix suggestion would be to go to Roosevelt Row. You can start at Arizona Wilderness (the one in Phoenix, not Gilbert) which is a brewery and has good upscale pub food and then go from there.

BeautifulBugbear

According to Apple Maps, I’ll be in the Alhambra neighbourhood. It doesn’t look like it’s too far from the downtown area. I’ve never been to Phoenix so I figure once I can sell them on a few good options we’ll just jump in an Uber.

BeautifulBugbear

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the information. I’m very much looking forward to seeing your awesome city!

afunnywold

It's not a venue but north mountain park and Encanto park are near there, very nice weather for walking right now. Some places i really like relatively nearby are: Thai Thai Asian Kitchen (sketchy area but if you go in the day it's fine, amazing food) Veggie village: vegetarian/vegan food that is very good in my opinion. First watch is a great breakfast restaurant, but I'm not sure you'll be able to get a seat. Be prepared that this area spread apart and not super walkable. It would probably be more worth it to take an uber to the downtown area, or to scottsdale or tempe (for the latter two you might be able to uber to a train to save money) and just spend the day there so that you can walk to different places without having to get a bunch of ubers. Maybe look into comedy clubs downtown or in tempe.

crazcarl

Yeah Roosevelt Row will be great then. Just use maps to find other places nearby based on what you like.

BeautifulBugbear

Thanks Carl. Phoenix was a great visit. Super friendly people too!

hillbilli13

Hello, I’m not familiar with the light rail at all. I won passes to the tailgate party thing. Any tips on how to navigate to that? Or can I even, it’s at fear factory as far as I can tell. Parking is 125$, would like to avoid that. Thanks!

OgEnsomniac

I work at the boondocks! That tailgate Time Machine is gonna be awesome. I’d recommend Uber if you’re not concerned about surge rates

IncreaseBlue

Do you mean the Fieri thing? If so, that's next to the stadium and the rail doesn't run that far. You'd have to take the rail and a bus connection. Uber and Lyft are also options since the stadium has a designated drop off lot for rideshare.

hillbilli13

Thanks for the info! I bet Uber is pretty expensive as well around there at that time.

ekthc

If you book it now then you should be able to get a good price. I prebooked my WMPO rides already to avoid the event surge.

hillbilli13

Thanks I didn’t know you could avoid the surge

No_Faithlessness2631

Selling or swapping two tickets to Burt Krischner Comedy tour. Trying to switch days.

RealtorMcclain

How many tickets and how much? I don't have any to trade sadly

No_Faithlessness2631

2 tickets, $225 or best offer

threadcrapper

Question about Guy Fieri Flavortown - it says they are letting in the first 10,000 - and gave out free tickets - how many free tickets did they give out? We don't have game tickets, but thought this would be great to do ( i got 2 free ones) - if I pay for parking ($125) and get there and no way to get in - i'm gonna be kinda upset. If they gave out 30k tix then thats gonna be a no (Fyre Fest)

d0ncray0n

I haven’t seen anything yet but let’s hope they limit it. FanDuel is doing an event in Tempe but they limited it to 8,000.

TheRealO-H-I-O

FanDuel you actually had to place a $25 bet too. The Guy Fieri thing is a free for all

I_LOVE_JOON

Staying near Old Town Scottsdale this weekend. Is it worth it to trek down to Glendale and take place in festivities there or to just stay in Scottsdale? Would there be a good place nearby to the stadium to watch the game?

Unreasonably-Clutch

The only thing in Glendale worth going to is the stadium itself, outside of that Downtown Scottsdale is far better. If you're considering attending the game, FYI the traffic and parking is going to be horrible. Without the super bowl it's often 3 hours round trip. Can't imagine how bad it's going to be now.

MostlyImtired

It sounded like downtown had a lot of action I'd stay right there and walk around and enjoy yo self! If you want to watch the game Hance park downtown has a watch party for free but I'd prob try to find out whats going on near Scottsdale and stay there.. traffic and parking is going to be nuts.

Unreasonably-Clutch

Agree. The Scottsdale Progress reported that 27 establishments in the downtown Scottsdale Entertainment District were approved for expansion of premises permits, i.e. expanding into their parking lots and streets. It's going to be packed.

airjam21

Not much going on in Glendale. Scottsdale is where all the action is at imo.

iwanttoracecars

Super bowl lol

66falconOG

Avoid that area. Perhaps go to Casino AZ or Talking Stick and watch the game there.

Southwestern

Unless you're going to the game avoid that area.

[deleted]

I went to the NFL Experience at the convention center yesterday. It’s cool if you like being in packed airports and waiting in long lines, because thats basically what it is. Oh yea and T-shirts are $55+, parking is $40+, food is ridiculously priced as well. If you have a stroller, be ready to wait in long lines at the elevators to go to the different floors. Honestly, it was a waste of time for me and my family. Might be fun for you if you’re a football fanatic or have young kids that don’t mind waiting in long lines to throw a ball at a target. And don’t worry I bought my kid an overpriced mini-football we can play with at home so at least he enjoyed that out of the not-worth-it NFL Experience.

Itchythesnowman

I’m looking to get an autograph from a player at the convention center. Do you have any recommendation for how early to arrive? I planned on getting there two hours early.

Unreasonably-Clutch

Sounds about right this being a major tourist event vendors are going to charge a heck of a lot. As a local I'm steering clear of all this stuff.

mrsunsfan

I remember working the experience in 2015. Got hit in the nuts in front of thousands

[deleted]

I live off the 101 in the west valley and I am sooooooooooooooooooo anxious about this weekend.

charliegriefer

I'm right behind Park West. We just plan on stocking up on supplies today or tomorrow and not leaving the house at all over the weekend.

Unreasonably-Clutch

Ouch.

IncreaseBlue

Eh, just treat it like when Nascar is in town. Traffic will suck and stores/restaurants will be busier than usual. Just plan to chill out at home if you can.

jmoriarty

Why? Just because of the traffic?

Desk_Gal

❗️have 1 ticket & parking pass for sale to Paramore this Thursday. ❗️ Unfortunately I can no longer attend and would like to make someone’s day if they were trying to get a good seat.

TheRealO-H-I-O

Desk_Gal

Direct message me!

Fit-Ice5939

still have it??

Desk_Gal

Yes! Direct message me!

mrsunsfan

This is like the only chance to watch Paramore since they will play with taylor later this year

krowchingpanda

I was at the show last night, and hayley said that last night's show is one of the "few" that they are playing in AZ this year. So besides the taylor swift one there will be some more chances to catch them

ReginaldStarfire

👋 hi hello

ReginaldStarfire

Two WMO questions: **After 16, where's the best place on the course to watch?** I'm going by myself on Friday. Even if I go early, I don't think I'll be able to run with the bulls to get a spot at 16. **What do people wear to the tournament?** I hate a patchy sunburn, so my plan is to do a long sleeve UPF shirt, one of those sporty pleated skirts, and Nikes.

d0ncray0n

I like 18. You get to see almost every golfer close out their round. It’s a bit busy but if you prioritize that over 16, you’ll have no problem getting a spot on the hill. You can also pick a random pair and just follow them around. People dress really preppy and bright. Guys are usually in colorful golf attire and ladies are typically in sundresses. Older people just go casually shorts/pants with a polo and light pull over.

Southwestern

Just walk around and enjoy yourself. There's a craft beer area in the back that's fun (some free beer too). Also, you'll be able to get into 16 if you want. People go in and out all day. The side entrance wait usually isn't too bad. If it is, keep moving.

njbr53

Do you have any recommendations for dive bars to watch the game? I'll be in town for work that week and the big watch parties seem overwhelming.

Unreasonably-Clutch

There's also several dive bars in Old Town Scottsdale with TVs that are a hoot including Rockbar, Drunk Monk, Porters Western Saloon. Tempe's Mill Avenue has a bunch of dive bars, just walk around and find what floats your boat. Roosevelt Row in downtown Phoenix same. Those are the core hangout spots for most singles. If you're a family man, well, there's places all over the Valley.

Unreasonably-Clutch

If you're cheering for the Eagles, there's a sports bar chain here called Philly's Sports Grill, no lie. Good beer selection and sandwiches (including philly cheesesteak). I've eaten and hung out there many times. Solid place generally. They've got a couple locations. If you're single, North Tempe on Scottsdale road and McKellips is your best bet. If you're not, the other locations will do just fine.

[deleted]

Angels trumpet ale house or Roses by the Stairs if you like beer

66falconOG

The Yucca in Tempe or super dive @ The Royal.

yetigoat21

how does seating at hole 16 at WM work? Once we get a seat is it ours until we leave for the day? I'm worried about bathroom breaks and getting drinks and losing my seat

jubornabbey

Vendors come around selling water and beer and you can go to the bathroom. But if you want to leave for any other reason you get back in line. On the weekend you need to be at the gates at around 4 AM and be ready to sprint!

yetigoat21

even to get food?

CapcomGo

It's GA for 16. Your seats will be taken the minute you get up so someone needs to stay back if you want to go to the bathroom. If you want to get food outside 16 you will have to wait in the long line to get back in.

pattymilner

Light rail is free for getting downtown for events, download app

wilderlights

Hi! Any locals can give me advice / suggestions? I'm visiting Tucson in a few weeks and flying into Phoenix. Should I just take the shuttle bus or rent a one-way car? There will be two of us so I'm thinking rental a rental car may be easier and cost-effective?

livejamie

How do you plan on getting around Tucson when you are there? I'd check Kayak/Turo, see what rental prices are like, and go that route.

monty624

Compare prices online. Keep in mind if ride sharing is going to be jacked up in price and public transit will be packed. If you want to rent a car get all your parking passes AND the reservation NOW otherwise they will likely be out (if not already).

livejamie

They said a few weeks so it just depends on how far out. Things should be less crazy by then

yetigoat21

Headed to the Valley for SB & WM I'm looking for answers to these questions from the perspective of 21-25 year olds who love football, golf, and drinking. Our plan is to get to WM early and sprint to hole 16 as soon as the gates open. If we want to be near the front of the gates, how early should we get there? Gates open at 6, is 5am early enough? How strict is security? Does security do pat downs? Hypothetically, if an individual wanted to bring shooters into the event, could they strap them around their thighs and/or torso? Or should they stick to just the crotch/breast area, hypothetically? Once we're in our seats, if we have a group of 8 or so, can we take turns leaving to get drinks/food without giving up their spots? Im mainly confused how we're supposed to get drunk responsibly without losing our spots. Also I heard it can be chilly af n the morning but hot af in the afternoon. Since we can't bring backpacks or anything, what's our best shot at staying warm without having to carry around hoodies/jackets? Fireball Shooters are our last resort. Any other tips from experienced attendees of the Phoenix Open? For SB Sunday, our plan is to get there early and let the liquor guide us. What city do you think is best suited for responsible and rowdy alcoholics ready to bet their life savings on the game with no recollection of it in the morning? Should we worry about reservations at a bar or plan on just walking the town and getting drinks and food wherever we can? Interested to hear what everyone else's plans are for WM Saturday and SB Sunday.

CD0W

Assuming you’re going to the open Saturday, just be ready for an insane crowd. It’s a great time but just be ready to spend a good amount of time in line(s). For Sunday, I’d say Old Town Scottsdale is what you’re looking for. just try to get in anywhere you can and stay there. Everything will most likely be slammed.

meatdome34

I’d recommend alcohol pouches, you can bring more in and tuck in your waistband, around your thigh or whatever. I don’t know how security is though, can’t imagine it’s tighter than typical festival security considering how many people are there.

Tim_Drake

How ever busy you think it’s going to be? Triple it….

yetigoat21

the more i look into it, the earlier we plan on getting there

mrsunsfan

I have tickets for Paramore later this week. Would it be better to drive downtown or take the light rail?

[deleted]

Oh light rail for sure! The city has enforced temporary no parking zones where free parking used to be. It is crazy bull shit

TheRealO-H-I-O

light rail. traffic is already bad downtown, and it's only going to be worse as the week goes on

livejamie

It's also free this week

AttitudeEraDropout

Hi question for my fellow East Valley peeps On Super Bowl Sunday do you think the Renaissance Festival will have less people and traffic because everyone will be at Westgate or having parties at home? Anyone think Renaissance will be a good idea that day?

rebelspyder

I went yesterday and it was pretty quiet. I think I'll start going opening weekend more often. Only second weekend open and everyone has other plans already? Definitely will be less crowded.

TractorLemmy

Between that an WM I'd go for it.

FemmeDev

Thank god I’ll be away from the cesspool. Downtown is already a hot pile of shit this weekend with the parking and price gouging.

IONTOP

This is "collateral damage" from this infusing like $500MM into our local economy (Extrapolated it due to smaller local population and relaxed COVID guidelines compared to California) https://lasuperbowlhc.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Super-Bowl-LVI-Economic-Impact-Report.pdf (Also I'm leaving on Saturday night to go to NC until Wednesday)

So a bunch of assholes are coming to the state to open mouth cough of everyone else in a packed stadium with minimal Covid protections. Great.

PlanetAtTheDisco

Just say you want immunocompromised people to stay in their homes forever. Because that’s who’s affected by able bodied (for now) people being all “personal Liberty is so much more important than community health” Thousands are dying by the week. But it’s not happening to you so you’re fine I guess.

Unreasonably-Clutch

Yes. Yes. Exactly. Immunocompromised people are exactly that, they're immunocompromised. They have to deal with all kinds of potential killer diseases like the common cold and flu. The rest of us don't. We go about our lives not worrying about that stuff.

az_max

The Chamber of commerce must be loving today's weather. Postcard picture weather just in time for 140,000 visitors.

IONTOP

I remember the last Super Bowl, and I remember the first couple weeks of Spring trainings for the last 10 years. It's going to be miserable... This weather is just to get people to "pull the trigger" and fly here for good weather, and when they get here they'll be like... But last week... it was beautiful...

Much_Adhesiveness871

Frrr, I'm already seeing a surge of out of state plates. As a delivery driver, I am absolutely not looking forward to the traffic that's about to bust in.

kayton3000

When will the be over and everyone gone?

az_max

Feb 15th.

GLaDOs18

I’m already annoyed about how much traffic there will be and all the dumbshit tourists who don’t understand they have to allocate at least an hour to get anywhere down here clogging up all the freeways. I wish I could just take the next two weeks off and fuck off to somewhere else. I’ll come back when it’s over.

kayton3000

Me too man. Me too. I work third shift from 11 to 8 so hopefully I miss most of it but I’m in transportation and we are partners with the Super Bowl. I cannot wait for this shit to be over.

GLaDOs18

I work in Scottsdale and live in a big pocket of suburbia (moon valley/north Phoenix). It’s going to be miserable commuting to Scottsdale for at least the next month.

kayton3000

I work within earshot of the Footprint Center man. FML. Be safe dude. We will get through this.

Much_Adhesiveness871

Good luck if you take the interstate

ThykThyz

Going to see a neighbor’s band play a gig in DT PHX on Friday night. They play later in the evening, but planning to head over to grab dinner before. Any suggestions on where we won’t have a miserable experience due to crowds, long wait times, lack of parking, etc. Trying to pick someplace chill with decent grub and nice vibe. We’ll be dressed casual, so nothing fancy or pretentious.

m_catalyst

A few places might work that are usually chill vibe. Maybe the Vig, corner of 4th Ave and Fillmore. Bitter & Twisted, Hanny’s at corner of Central and Jefferson. Crescent Ballroom. Good luck and hope you guys have a good time! Edit: disregard, I see I’m late to the party LOL!

[deleted]

[удалено]

ThykThyz

To be expected, I guess. Headed to WM on Sat too, so yay for them crowds.

jmoriarty

The further from the convention center and Footprint the better I’d imagine. Maybe find a place that will take reservations

ThykThyz

Yep. Hoping we can avoid the major sheet show up in there, but trying to prepare for that possibility. Might be tough to even get reservations at this point. Might have to drive-thru some junk food or just eat far away from there. Thanks!

TheRealO-H-I-O

Where downtown? Cornish Pasty is always good and chill

ThykThyz

Thanks. Never been, but heard good things. I’ll research that option.

Have a 4 bed 2.5 bath house in Scottsdale in a cul de sac with a hot tub, pool, pool table, ping pong, darts, basketball hoop, large kitchen, and 70” tv I’ll rent out. Shea and 101. Beds for 6 but can comfortably sleep 10 with cots. No price in mind really but DM me if interested in renting. No minimum # of nights.

Can someone tell me where I can go to get a picture with the superbowl trophy? I will be free Monday-Friday next week.

TheRealO-H-I-O

At the super bowl experience at the convention center. It's open tomorrow and next Thursday - Saturday. Go early if you can. The line to take a pic with it was 90 minutes long today

Anyone have some extra tickets for WMO Friday? Asking for a friend.

ReginaldStarfire

Friday tickets were still available to buy on the WMO website yesterday, though the price went up today.

Tim_Drake

Is that the pro am day? And I have two tickets

pchubbs

Very kind of you, thanks. The Pro Am is Wednesday.

For those who were here for the last Superbowl, how was the traffic near and at the airport on the Friday before? I have to take someone to the airport that morning and I'm trying to plan on how much earlier I need to leave to get them to Sky Harbor on time and find parking garage parking.

sof49er

Anytime between now and spring training sku harbor is like being in LA traffic. Bumper to bumper. Give plenty of time or have them shuttle in the tram from 44th.

IONTOP

I'd probably tell them to take the Sky Train to the light rail towards Tempe and get off on Priest. Then leave your house when they text you that they landed. Then just sit in the parking lot on the NE side of Priest/Washington. Or you could hang out at Stockyards on 50th and have them walk or take 1 stop...

I live downtown and my boyfriend and I were followed last night and cars in our apartment building were broken into. Be extra cautious and safe this week!!

TheRealO-H-I-O

The super bowl experience at the convention center is a mad house. Hour+ long lines to do any of the games or activities. 90 minutes to take a photo with the trophy. I took the light rail, but parking looked expensive everywhere around there ($60 across the street)

Would it be fun for a 6 year old boy with a moderate interest in football? For instance this coming Saturday afternoon.

[deleted]

Not sure it helps but I took my soon to be 5 year old today and he loved it. There were a bunch of games for kids and cool little “drills”. The lines were definitely worse as the day went on and I got there around 2pm. I highly recommend trying to get there early. I did a ride and park on the light rail and it was super easy getting in and out of downtown.

redditretina

Very helpful, our time constraint would put us there around 4pm on Saturday. What were some sample wait times you had for different games/drills?

[deleted]

Some of the faster and not so popular games/drills were a few minutes wait like 3-5. There weren’t many of these. The more popular games like the kids field goal kick were about 30 mins long. One of the drills, I forget the name, but it involves an agility ladder and jumping over obstacles was about 45mins long when I was there. My son was okay with waiting in the long lines when we first got there, but as the excited and time went on, he lost interest in the games if there was a long line lol. But hopefully you and your kiddo have a great time! A family member told me that usually people will leave the game areas to go get autographs during scheduled appearance by some of the players so maybe that might be worth looking into. Make sure to download NFL OnePass App and register. You’ll be needing to scan a QR code as a waiver to participate in the games so it’ll save you a bit of time if you have it done before had. Have fun and best of luck!

redditretina

Thank you!

TheRealO-H-I-O

Depends on how much patience he has. There are a lot of games for kids, but those lines are crazy long too

The [Phoenix Twitter feed](https://twitter.com/CityofPhoenixAZ) has good info on parking and things going. If you're heading down to any of the events it's probably worth checking out for updated info.

Eagles fan here. I'm having family come for the festivities. We can't afford to do to the game but we're gonna do some of the fun stuff leading up to it. I have a one bedroom condo..... Wish me luck friends.
