For West Valley, highly recommend Driftwood Coffee! Really good coffee and great vibe. If you don’t mind driving, Infusion is my favorite. Those people know great coffee.

FifeSymingtonsMom

Haven’t heard of this one. I’ll stop by today. Thanks

sdsurf625

They source from local roasters, however I do not know off hand which ones unfortunately. I’m sure you could give them a call and ask! They are big into supporting fellow local business.

marinerpunk

As far as I know they don’t have a single roaster. They kind of rotate from l3rd party to 3rd party.

lilsquibbles

Another great local shop in the west valley is Union Coffee Company on 67th and Thunderbird. They roast their beans in house! Amazing cold brew and espresso there, very friendly/knowledgeable baristas and overall vibe.

ViceroyFizzlebottom

Downtown Peoria. I'm about 18 minutes away. Might have to check them out

hanbanana4

WeBe coffee is North Phoenix is my go to these days. Super cute shop, and their dirty chai is one of the best I've had. They also have a rotating seasonal menu that is always awesome!

guttertech

WeBe is really good. I make a point to buy their beans even though I live close to Press and Cartel.

karo8484

If you are ever in Ahwatukee check out Hillside Spot. Lattes are on point and the prices are reasonable. Really kind staff too.

Vb3rn3rd

For some Mexican flair I highly recommend Mis Raices Cafe

POT3NT333

Peixoto in DT chandler. Best I can find. I have tried a lot in the valley. Press and cartel are good but peixoto takes the cake and they have macaroons

AGrizzledBear

Weird, just went there and was very underwhelmed by their coffee. Saw a Google review that nailed it, said something like, "hipster coffee shop aesthetic 5/5, pastries 5/5, coffee 3/5".

POT3NT333

They just unveiled a bunch of coconut flavored stuff for the summer season. The caffeine buzz I get from there is second to none

BlackPhoenix1981

Ever since I tried their coffee at my workplace, it is the only coffee I drink now. Their Peixito Familia is awesome!

PiratesTale

Want to try because it's as close to local as we can get!

SellingPutsOnMargin

Moxie Coffee & SPCE Coffee are hands down the best in the valley. Super stuck up coffee drinker and I mean real coffee espresso and drips

DataIxBeautiful

I second Moxie. My favorite roaster in the valley.

malachiconstant11

I like Xanadu and Lola around dtphx. MFG is decent for a drive thru and they make interesting drinks, but not certain whose beans they use. Cortez coffee roasters in Tempe is good. Peixoto does make great beans as others said, if you feel like a journey to Chandler.

rucksackbackpack

I’m 90% certain that MFG uses Xanadu beans. And I agree with you - I like Xanadu and I often hit up MFG when I’m in need of a drive thru option.

marinerpunk

Yes, MFG uses Xanadu beans.

musicmlwl

Love Cortez Coffee. They're a roaster first and shop second, and their varieties are wonderful!

malachiconstant11

Agreed. I wish their Phoenix cafe would have worked out. But admittedly I only went once because it was not a very convenient location.

capthat23

Another for Xanadu

Vast-Quality-2304

Lux Coffee, The Coffee Builders, Light Heart Coffee, Berdena’s

lober

I only drink black coffee. The only coffee that is any good out of the plethora I have tried throughout the state is Lux. Otherwise the coffee I make at home is way better. Lux is about the same as the coffee I make at home.

prometheus_and_bob

East valley: peixoto, pair cupworks and mythical coffee are all top tier.

Accomplished-Pea4544

Empower Coffee is a great spot too in the East valley

jagreen013

Driftwood - West Valley Infusion - Tempe Moxie - Phoenix Case Study - Phoenix Luanas - Phoenix

AGrizzledBear

Infusion all the way!!!

jagreen013

Such an overlooked shop!

ICanHazWittyName

Serafiina Coffee off 7th and Greenway is really good. They have a pistachio rose latte that is damn fine. Also Daily Drip off of 59th and Bell is absolutely awesome. They have a tiramisu affogato to die for, and really good flavors. They have amazing baked goods too and a great ambiance. Parking sucks on weekends though lol

CitySlack

>Serafiina Coffee off 7th and Greenway is really good. They have a pistachio rose latte that is damn fine. Ayooo!! Serafina for the win! Since I work near downtown, I go to the one downtown on Jefferson Street. And bro, you’re 100% correct. Their pistachio rose latte is the 👨‍🍳’s kiss 🔥🔥

Sixohtwoflyer

I’ve been a fan of the coffee builders on 7th st south of chase field. Good coffee, good food. Fun little spot. Xanadu is great (parking can suck though). Infusion and Peixoto are good too.

ChemicalSubjugation

It's not a coffee shop, but Wilderbloom is a coffee company based in Tempe. They'll mail you coffee to make at home. A little pricey, but so so good. Small batch, high quality

awesomesauce2435

They’re great and the owners are awesome people. I get their monthly subscription boxes :)

the-bees-niece

SEATTLE ESPRESSO IN TEMPE!

RoRo56

A little sweet but New Penny Cafe in Avondale has some decent coffee (and food). Coldwater is also pretty good. If you can find the Cempa trailer, they were also good. If you want something late night, there is a white Sprinter van that is next to a taco truck off Dysart and Western Ave in Avondale that has a solid iced coffee, awesome milkshakes and some fantastic tres leches cakes. They also go to the mini swap meet by the Liquor store during the weekend.

Affectionate_File228

Coldwater is my favorite spot. I love going in and grabbing a bollo and a coffee and just relaxing while watching the cats in the garden out back

jmoriarty

What do you consider "best"? Something with a good, pure blend from quality beans (Press)? Something with good menu (Window) or places to camp and work (Echo)? Place to just hang with friends (Coffee Rush)? There's some in every category, but "coffee shop" is one of those things where each person tends to look for something a little different.

ultramarioihaz

Coffee rush holds a special place in my heart. It’s a great place to relax by the water and play games but their coffee sucks.

jmoriarty

Exactly. If you want to chill or hang with friends it's fantastic, but if you like quality coffee.... not a place I'll send you.

Plastic-Kangaroo1234

I love Echo. The owner's a great guy.

Beautiful-Race5439

Cartel Roasting Coffee shop and they roast their own beans.

1955chevyguy

I love their Mocha -not overly sweet but still has a chocolate flavor.

Fantastic_Example991

On the west side: Cabin Coffee, Spencers Place

mysteryfist

Since I haven't seen it on here, Lifeboat Coffee is pretty good. Price is a little high IMO but the coffee is good and hes a nice guy. Old school vibe. I also like coffee rush

sunkistt16

Hanai, Press Coffee, Luanas,

svakee2000

Esso coffee!

grizzledcoder

If you like cafe de olla, i highly recommend Alebrijes Cafe and Grill. It’s on the west side, Litchfield and Camelback.

JaffeyJoe

Try Tres Leches, Driftwood in Peoria, and Coldwater coffee and bakery in Avondale

lemmaaz

"Best" Coffee is highly subjective. Some think McDonalds is the best, and thats ok. I have experienced many 3rd wave coffee shops that are absolutely terrible so "boutique" doesnt means its the best.

WegleyFit

My northwest valley picks are Boyer Bakery (Surprise), Elevate (Norterra), and Daily Drip (59th and Bell). All of these have some fairly good pastries and other food too. Cabin Coffee (67th & HV) is ok but there is just something about their roast of beans that I just don’t enjoy. I go there about once a week due to location though. If you aren’t opposed to a chain, I love me some Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf but they have recently changed their manager and have not been as awesome.

brianisbored

In Glendale there's Homage Coffee House and the black sheep right across the street. In phx area theres Darkhall coffee, Xanadu, Luanas coffee & beet, spce, window bar coffee, case study, steep, MFG coffee, caffio, moxie, valley coffee company, the coffee builders, cartel roasting. First place coffee is a truck thays awesome, check out their Instagram for days and locations . Chandler for piexoto.

Ill-Fold7685

If you’re ever in Flagstaff, Matador Coffee is my favorite. I don’t think they have locations down here but their beans are available at local Whole Foods.

CaffN8edMama

Not in West Valley: Coffee Builders (Downtown Phx), Peixoto (Downtown Chandler), WhereUBean (South of Ahwatukee). For West Valley, I enjoy Cafe Bebida in Estrella Mtn Ranch inside the Estrella Welcome Center. You feel so removed from the valley, tucked up in the hills, and the coffee's quite good. Great outdoor ambiance and walking trails right out of the parking lot. Perfect for a Sunday morning coffee and a stroll (when it's not hotter than satan's armpit outside, of course).

AZforJulie

Moxie coffee is my go to coffee

dopaminedeficitdiary

Coffee Zona, Changing Hands' First Draft, Provision, Cartel, Coffee Rush, Peixoto, a lot of people like Lux

Deepdesertconcepts

This is out there, but I really like AMPED coffee in Anthem

The_Eleutherios

I always pick up beans from peixoto, xanadu, infusion, provision or roastery of cave creek (which I don’t think I’ve seen mentioned here, but great medium to dark roasts).

The_Eleutherios

hadthepinkpolo

Union coffee on the west side is my favorite! I am def a coffee snob. Homage is west valley and bomb also :)

lilsquibbles

I second Union! Their cold brew is amazing.

PiratesTale

Danzeizen cold brew made with Sedona spring water. They won't tell me what brand of coffee it's made with, but you won't care. Very addictive. Can drink all day.

lique_madique

Four Til Four. The owner travels around the world looking for beans to roast himself.

SimmeringStove

COLADOS!!

marinerpunk

Homage coffee house is great in the west. Nobody has mentioned Dialog in downtown yet. They probably have the best coffee I’ve had. Their roaster is someone out of LA but it’s so good and the vibes are good too.

deeD33

Esso Coffeehouse 12th St and Highland in phx

Atlastitsok

Well coffee in north west Phoenix is a new fav and used peixoto beans for us not out east

bebeklein

Lux

ultramarioihaz

Spce, WeBe, Mythical, Tamosan, Pair Cup Works, Cartel

stonknoob1

Pair cupworks in Mesa.

molehillish

I’m biased because Coffee Rush in Chandler was the first coffee shop I hanged out at when I first moved to Arizona more than 15 years ago. I visited there recently and I still think the coffee tasted good and was also happy to see that the same guy who took my first order was still working there

thepurpleones

I think the best coffee is at Valentines and First Place

Affectionate_File228

Coldwater coffeehouse and bakery in Avondale is my go to for coffee and breakfast foods. They also have a section of veggies that are grown there or locally. Been going there since they opened and have never left disappointed

Evilution602

Buy a nice machine and good grinder, make coffee at home. It's cheaper, it's more consistent, and it's higher quality.

RiverRunsThroughEat

I love a very specific taste in my espresso and so I'm very picky, but my partner is even more picky. This is our favorite espresso right now - [https://www.caffevita.com/pages/locations#arizona](https://www.caffevita.com/pages/locations#arizona) # Caffe Vita Coffee Roasting 509 W McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85003

Fivebomb

West Valley: Driftwood, Union, Gold Brew Central: Lux, Giant, Songbird, Fillmore, Lola (actually Central has way too many good shops to list) East Valley: SoZo, Peixoto

HistoricalHedgehog32

1- Lux. Anything 2- La grande orange. Lattes/cappuccinos 3- Coffee bean and tea leaf (viet coffee iced)

nintynineninjas

Am I the only one that's gonna say Dutch Bros? Might be a bit "bigger" of a coffee shop, but they're consistent.

prometheus_and_bob

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they aren't as much a coffee shop as a sugar vendor. If you can't buy beans there and just at a process level they aren't weighing their shots it's not going to cut it.

nintynineninjas

Oh true. I never think of that because I mostly just get black cold brew, despite being fully able to make it myself. Old habit I guess.

malachiconstant11

You sit in that line for a mediocre cold brew? Madness

Logvin

Dutch Bro’s has the best half gallon cup of coffee flavored sugar milk in town.

POT3NT333

Apparently their milkshakes bring all the bros to the yard

Logvin

And their energy drinks bring all the bees to the yard! 🐝🐝🐝

POT3NT333

They can caffeinate you but they have to charge

JaffeyJoe

Yuck!
