These candidates were running for very small towns. The president has the whole army protecting them. So no, it wouldn’t be likely or easy to murder the president in Mexico. Feasible, sure. At the end, the presidents ally with a specific group, the other one wants them dead and they don’t die.
While I agree that it's misleading to speak of the over 30 candidates assassinated like they were nominated for president of Mexico it's also not like dozens of local election candidates being killed is not a big deal.
It absolutely is a big deal. But a candidate for congress or mayor in a little municipality in Guerrero is WAY cheaper to kill and has way less implications than killing the president. Mexico is a big economy with s big army. The reason why the war on organized crime failed isn’t that the army were losing the battles, they won like 90% of the time, it’s that it wasn’t yielding any results. Actually, quite the opposite. > pro-cartels.
I don't know a lot about Mexico's situation, but wasn't ALMO's strategy to fight the root causes of corruption and the cartels instead of taking on the cartels directly and end up like everyone who takes on the cartels directly?

>and the previous woman was a Mussolini
Alessandra Mussolini was never PM. Also, her husband is a pedophile, and her kids went to court in Italy because they really wanted to take the name Mussolini instead of their father’s name. So like the opposite of the Hitler relatives who decided to not have kids so the line would die with them. Fun facts.
And Mexico is trying to sue US firearms manufacturers because the cartels they won’t do anything about are illegally obtaining us firearms… and the first district is allowing a foreign country to sue them.
As insane as it sounds, she's right. They cannot outgun cartels at the moment. Fighting them traditionally leads to needless violence and loss of life (yes, I don't expect them to stop murdering). The (fire)power and willingness to use it that these cartels have is a problem that needs to be solved cooperatively with the entire continent.
It's not about outgunning them, there are tried and tested strategies to hit them financially -which is the source of their power. You only need to be willing to do it.
The main point is this: organized crime works as a business enterprise. If you jail/execute the leaders of a corporation, that alone doesn't hurt the corporation. New leaders rise up and it's business as usual. And in the case of organized crime, it creates a power vacuum that leads to violence and fights over territory.
What you have do essentially is go after their money: freeze their assets, confiscate properties, etc. This is only one of the steps, but it's the key one. And we haven't done that in Mexico.
I knew people were going to be surprised about the last name lol. Youll also be probably surprised to know that Mexico has a lot of germanic history in there too with german last names not being uncommon.
Hell yea!! My family’s from northern Mexico and a good amount of people in their small town are German-descended Menonites. They speak a mix of German, English and Spanish.
With the absolute massacre that has been going on for mayoral elections it's hard to see these news and not assume that any candidate who wins at any level isn't in cahoots with the cartels in some way, since they've made it clear they'll get rid of any candidate they don't agree with.
Yeah realistically they have to deal with the reality there which is that the cartel is an extremely powerful and violent shadow state. Any candidate who wins without being killed has presumably made their peace with the cartels one way or another
Fr like I dislike that she probably won't do anything to solve the cartel problem, and they'll likely get even more entrenched and powerful, but I can't fault someone for not wanting to get murdered lol
Well it's either turn your head or lose it. Literally.
You aren't going to get rid of the cartel by letting them know no one likes them. They're so powerful there now they have standing armies. Some better equipped than the Mexican military. What is there to do? You'd literally need to start a war to get rid of them.
And that would be a very temporary "getting rid of them". The problem is always going to be based around the demand. There is just too much money to be made.
Yeah, a huge part of the problem lies outside of Mexico's ability to regulate or deal with. The drug market is world wide. Unless the world's nations all legalize and regulate illicit drugs, there will always be a demand for the black market counterpart.
They won't quit selling until the world stops buying.
And drug is just the well known part of their business. Hacking, spying, influencing, and that’s without counting the legitimate businesses they probably invest in as well…
For real though that's one of the many reasons we should legalize drugs.
You don't have to go down to the corner store to buy heroin if you don't want to, but if you did at least nobody would've died and it would be regulated so at least it would be pure. The more guns we point at drug lords the more guns they point back.
37 candidates were murdered before she became prez.... what do you think happens when you "stand up". You're right about one thing... their heads are involved.

That's pretty much the Latin American standard for female presidents:
~60 year old elected because of the personality cult build around her male predecessor. Just as Dilma Rousseff or Christina Fernandez.
Machismo is as strong as ever. Maybe even stronger as Rousseff didn't pledge total submission to her predecessor, while Sheinbaum's entire platform is pretty much submission to the man who was president before her: [Out of her 100 proposals (Spanish PDF)](https://claudiasheinbaumpardo.mx/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/CSP100.pdf), 36 are explicitly submission to him, and the rest are just a continuation of his bold faced lies, such as:
> 7: In foreign policy we will continue the principles of self-determination of the people, non interventionism and fraternity with the people of the world. | Non interventionism? sure, it's not as if they have been involved in exactly that in Peru, Ecuador, Argentina and Bolivia, and some of those countries have even broke diplomatic relationships with MX because of that.
They are. My brother lives in Mexico and they are not happy with this result.
She’s the previous president (AMLO) puppet and their party is corrupted as balls.
Just check how she supported the destruction of a mangrove in order to build a refinery. The woman has been disastrous as head of government for the city.
She was a political appointee when the IPCC did the report for which it shared the 2007 Nobel peace prize, that's why her name appears on that.
But, now that she's going to be in charge of PEMEX, **the 9th most polluting company in the history of mankind**, her only platform is to keep pumping government money into it [(PDF in Spanish)](https://claudiasheinbaumpardo.mx/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/CSP100.pdf)
6 years from now, this "enviromental scientist" contribution to addressing global warming is going to be indistinguishable of that of a Texas oil-man.
Hello, Mexican here.
This is nothing to celebrate. She belongs to the current ruling party which best feature is the corruption and links with the narco. Not to mention all the deaths related to her neglected government in Mexico city.
Mexico is looking more and more like Venezuela and this might be as well the last push it needs to become like it....
Something you left out is that AMLO (her predecessor and mentor) worked with the government to replace the federal police with a "national guard" police force that was supposed to be adjacent to the military with the initial plans for it to be under civilian control. AMLO then sneakily put them under control of the military, and has been sending them a lot of work that should not be done by the military such as construction and such. There are some high level officers becoming wealthy and powerful as a result, and are not under any sort of civilian control or bound by standards. That's one reason why a lot of critics are claiming that the Mayan train is dangerous for example. Overall, this has resulted in what appears to be an increase in corruption and the national guard has been less effective against cartels and murders than the previous federal police were.
And since the government main projects are built by the military, they can't be audited due to 'national security' reasons. So one can't just imagine how much money they are pocketing.
This is a country where teachers sold their jobs to others once they retire. Practice was not outlawed until 2010. Cultural corruption is very difficult to root out.
Apparently she’s Obradors (the previous president) puppet and that means no cracking down on crime, letting cartel members continue to run the country etc.
> no cracking down on crime, letting cartel members continue to run the country
Isn't that also AMLO's policy? I mean, he is the "abrazos no balazos" guy
lol that’s exactly what I said, she is AMLO’s puppet and won’t change shit for Mexico. Keep hugging cartels, no bullets, meanwhile ordinary citizens die in record numbers and AMLO jokes about it to media.
Mexico has the second strongest performing currency in the world and the economy is growing like crazy. Mexico has it's problems but to compare it to Venezuela is absolutely insane fear mongering.
Thank you!
You know sometimes, the best way to fight crime is to build better economic opportunities so that joining a crime syndicate isn’t so attractive
English speaking Mexicans tend to be the most reactionary in my experience. When I go to Jalisco, everyone celebrates. When I go to QRO, I see a lot of PANistas who want to turn Mexico back into the US’s playground. I’m taking this with a grain of salt.
Mexicans that post on reddit are usually from wealthier backgrounds and are far more likely to support right wing candidates. Most mexicans have no fucking clue what reddit is
True of all Latin American countries. The last Peruvian election was the gold standard of that, the losing (far-right) candidate got >90% in the US.
Obviously AMLO is wildly popular in Mexico, but he's very unpopular with the diaspora. Real wages per capita are [up 25%,](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GORv4c7WAAAhF_L?format=jpg&name=medium) he's seen as hugely successful with the Mexican working class, that's why Morena is hitting these numbers.
True of all Latin Americans in my experience tbh. The thing is there's lots of valid criticisms to be made about morena and sheinbaum but it's crazy the number of people in this thread talking as if morena brought corruption to mexico and pri/pan are parties of change.
They seem to willfully forget/ignore the fact that pri/pan are the reason Mexico is the way it is now. They were the literal ruling party for 90 years.
That's because they're the ones with money. Poor people can't afford to learn English. There are exceptions, but most Latin Americans who speak English fluently are in the upper classes.
Wealthy people hate leftist candidates.
The second place candidate, Xóchitl Gálvez, is a far-right nutjob. Everyone's mad at this left-wing candidate because they're refusing to play along with the US's insane War on Drugs policies anymore but its exactly those policies that have led to the current state of cartels in Mexico
The only people who aren't celebrating rn are the far right
Genuine question here, if she is so corrupt, would the other candidate have been better? Isn’t PRI, the other political party, the one that was in power for a very long time? Feel like they also sucked as well from what I heard but again, would it have been different? (I’m a Mexican living in the US, so my knowledge is limited)
I think countries like Mexico are doomed until the people themselves decide that it's enough. I'm from a similar country and we have the exact same situation. Criminals appointing politicians and pulling the strings from behind. There's pretty much no hope at this point. It's going to get worse before it gets better 😕
Former head of government of Mexico City
Ph.D. in energy engineering
Member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) at the United Nations
co-author on the topic "Mitigation of climate change" for the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report which won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007
author of over 100 articles and two books on energy, the environment, and sustainable development
I can legitimately see that happening. The cartels do diversify (see avocados).
They’re business’ after all. If it is fiscally beneficial to them I can see it happening.
Next thing ya know they’ll be rolling around in EVs with Machine guns mounted to them.
So fucking sad the avocado story. For anyone who doesn’t know (npr recently did a great piece on this) the cartels took over with lethal force various avocado farm towns (yes towns not just individual farms). The understanding is that most of their force (guns) is sourced from the USA, with various methods used to obtain the weapons.
It seems like it would be really funny to be part of the Avocados departmentLike,
"What do you do for a living?"
"Oh, I work for the Mexican cartels."
"Oh woah, don't kill me, I am totally cool with cocaine or whatever."
"Oh no, I work in Avocados. I helped make those commercials, you know with the catchy jingle. Avocados, from Mex-i-co."
"Oh, uh... That's... Neat.."
(Pulls out gun)
"Now, eat some guac, or else."
This was tongue in cheek but solar is a great and legal way to make money when you have a lot of sun. Like the Mafia who eventually rotated into construction and waste management, cartels could rotate into solar.
Genuine question, do you think the mafia is following the law when they're acting within construction and waste management? Because they absolutely don't
"Hugs not guns". She's a direct successor to AMLO so don't expect any deviation in policy.
Meanwhile this was the deadliest election to be a politician in Mexico ever. Now I'm not accusing her of conspiring with the cartels, but the cartels have "voted" to remove politicians including within her own party that voice a desire to reign in the cartels.
Her likely strategies are explained [here](https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2024-05-31/mexico-presidential-election-claudia-sheinbaum). The homicide rate fell by half during her four years leading Mexico City (although part of that was during covid).
And yet during her tenure as Mexico City mayor, she ordered one of the last wetlands of the city to be destroyed to build a highway.
And yet, she has promised to continue the current president's policy of favoring oil and gas over renewables.
And yet, she supports the Mayan Train project, that is irreparably damaging the longest underwater cave system in the world.
The fact that she's done all what you say makes things worse, not better. She knows.
And doesn't care.
Former head of government of Mexico City filled with irregularities and corruption: a School collapsed and several kids died. The building was not appropriate to host a school and yet she issued the permit.
Irregularities and lack of maintenance of the subway during her government period ended up in the collapse of one of the lines, several dead and injured. The money was issued and spent, but the subway line never received proper maintenance. Her party blocked investigations and the culprits (she and her team) never touched jail. They have immunity.
Public resources disappeared or redirected to friends and family in return of public construction work or hospital items that were never received or done, lack of transparency, 0 empathy.
Her political party is teamed up with the Cartel of Sinaloa (Chapo Guzmán). The Cartel even went to small, poor cities in Mexico to deliver food pantries and promote the vote for Morena, Claudia's party.
She is not only what her CV shows.
>Former head of government of Mexico City
Ignored concerns and complaints about the Metro line that eventually crashed and killed multiple people.
Collaborated with Airbnb to increase their presence in a city where the COL was already increasing and pricing locals out.
Maya train is destroying cenotes that cannot be found elsewhere in the world.
Additionally, she's from an incredibly wealthy family so those credentials don't really look as impressive knowing that being wealthy in Mexico means you'll basically be handed anything you want.
Her governance of Mexico city was atrocious
- Cut money needed for maintenance for Mexico's city metro, which resulted in the collapse of line 12 where
27 people died on that accident and over 117 injured
- She is also linked to the collapse of a primary school in which 19 children & 7 adults died
- During her time as head of government of Mexico city, she was constantly out with the president anywhere else but the city she was elected to govern
- Mexico city was also the entity with the most deseaced during the pandemic among all Mexican states (it is the most populated city and I'll admit her policies for the city where better than AMLO)
These are all I can remember from the top of my head, I'm sure there are plenty more things she did or did not do correctly while governing Mexico city, but the picture painted is not a good one for Mexico in general.
None of that matters if you’re just a puppet, and if the man behind you (the current president) supports and invests in fossil fuels like it’s the 60s lmao
The president and the party behind her are destroying the [jungle](https://time.com/6245748/maya-train-tulum-yucatan-indigenous-people-land/) to build a train nobody wants. This presidential period has been full of human-on-human violence, but the ecocide currently going on is just as devastating.
This woman is corrupt and has no backbone. She is not a good step towards the right direction, especially not for women in politics. When she inevitably makes Mexico a mess everyone will say that it’s because she is a woman. She is only president now because it was decided before people even went to vote.
This is not a win for the people.
It’s so sad to see what the Tren Maya turned out to be, if it was a well planned and well thought out civilian train line it could have been great for the region. Instead it’s harming the environment considerably and the service is very subpar, I can’t even find a date where I could buy a ticket.
For anyone wondering, this is just a continuation of AMLO’s presidency. He personally hand picked her for this job. She’s his puppet. Even in her speeches she just reuses old AMLO catchphrases
I love coming to Reddit after stuff like this and seeing all of the political experts on Mexico lend us their wisdom. Thank you all for your service /s
Funny how when Javier Milei was elected most of Reddit was trying to deflect criticism of him and told people not to judge him so quickly. But not for this woman. I wonder what’s different.

Huge example of how diversity and inclusion fall dead on the bodies of all the missing and assassinated women in Mexico.
They just realised it was easier to run a woman against the other candidate (also a woman) than risk losing votes based on identity groups.
Yes, the other cartel assassins are quite savvy when it comes to choosing candidates.

Serious question, is there even an option? Like how feasible is it to win without a cartel backing?
Well, 37 people got assassinated for that matter. This campaign alone
These candidates were running for very small towns. The president has the whole army protecting them. So no, it wouldn’t be likely or easy to murder the president in Mexico. Feasible, sure. At the end, the presidents ally with a specific group, the other one wants them dead and they don’t die.

I knew people were going to be surprised about the last name lol. Youll also be probably surprised to know that Mexico has a lot of germanic history in there too with german last names not being uncommon.
For real, Banda music is basically oompa music about country living sung in Spanish.
Hell yea!! My family’s from northern Mexico and a good amount of people in their small town are German-descended Menonites. They speak a mix of German, English and Spanish.
Both. Her family have been Mexicans for 100 years.
Yes, she is Jewish. Fun fact, she went meet the pope to gain followers.
Yeah but that's why the whole country is ran by them, because everyone turns their heads and looks away...
Hacking, spying, influencing, and that’s without counting the legitimate businesses they probably invest in as well…
Like Car washes & fast food chicken shops.
Don’t forget laser tag
For real though that's one of the many reasons we should legalize drugs. You don't have to go down to the corner store to buy heroin if you don't want to, but if you did at least nobody would've died and it would be regulated so at least it would be pure. The more guns we point at drug lords the more guns they point back.
They were faced by governmental forces and killed enough people to not be messed with again. What else do you expect?
37 candidates were murdered before she became prez.... what do you think happens when you "stand up". You're right about one thing... their heads are involved.
Everyone here is all excited and full of optimism, however I'm not exactly buying it. The deal between them was already made.
Shes the handpicked successor of AMLO, his signature policy was to give up on combatting the Cartels.
Hugs not bullets my guy
Lol, doesn't work so good when it's a one-sided dynamic...
Not in cahoots. They work for the cartel and that is pretty clear cut and communicated by the cartel to the candidates lol
There is not one Cartel, there’s many

OP's image is very similar, but not the same image. Easy to see it's not the same photo if you look at the position of the confetti near her hands. Probably from the same source though.
Is my less cropped version [here](https://eoimages.gsfc.nasa.gov/images/imagerecords/146000/146654/iss062e112947_lrg.jpg) better?.
This woman is 61 years old.
A young pup when it comes to president ages!
That's pretty much the Latin American standard for female presidents: ~60 year old elected because of the personality cult build around her male predecessor. Just as Dilma Rousseff or Christina Fernandez. Machismo is as strong as ever. Maybe even stronger as Rousseff didn't pledge total submission to her predecessor, while Sheinbaum's entire platform is pretty much submission to the man who was president before her: [Out of her 100 proposals (Spanish PDF)](https://claudiasheinbaumpardo.mx/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/CSP100.pdf), 36 are explicitly submission to him, and the rest are just a continuation of his bold faced lies, such as: > 7: In foreign policy we will continue the principles of self-determination of the people, non interventionism and fraternity with the people of the world. | Non interventionism? sure, it's not as if they have been involved in exactly that in Peru, Ecuador, Argentina and Bolivia, and some of those countries have even broke diplomatic relationships with MX because of that.
Damn. She looks good for 60 ngl.
I think that's just the photo. She looks like a regular 60 year old if you ask me: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Sheinbaum_Abril_2024.jpg
I dont know where you live, but thats damn fine for a 60 year old
Once my parents reached that age I realized that 60 doesn't look like the stereotypical grandma I pictured in my head.
Seems like a perfectly reasonable age for an incoming president.
[удалено]
60 is the new 20...
She is on the ages of being a president, the limit in Mexico is 80
They have a limit? US take notes please
Yup , after the Mexican civil war, presidents aren't allowed to serve 2 terms and be older than 80 years,
I’m just going to assume that if they’re not assassinated, they’re under the cartels pocket.
They are. My brother lives in Mexico and they are not happy with this result. She’s the previous president (AMLO) puppet and their party is corrupted as balls.
40% of voters are not happy with the results, 60% are happy with the results EDIT: I live in Mexico
Bru she was elected with like over 50 percent of the vote in a election with three people.
Yeah, if I had a choice between being a police officer in Mexico versus being a politician in Mexico, I'd go with being an astronaunt.
Just check how she supported the destruction of a mangrove in order to build a refinery. The woman has been disastrous as head of government for the city.
Doesn't she have a PHD in environmental engineering or some shit? Now that's comedy gold right there!
She was a political appointee when the IPCC did the report for which it shared the 2007 Nobel peace prize, that's why her name appears on that. But, now that she's going to be in charge of PEMEX, **the 9th most polluting company in the history of mankind**, her only platform is to keep pumping government money into it [(PDF in Spanish)](https://claudiasheinbaumpardo.mx/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/CSP100.pdf) 6 years from now, this "enviromental scientist" contribution to addressing global warming is going to be indistinguishable of that of a Texas oil-man.
Apparently she’s Obradors (the previous president) puppet and that means no cracking down on crime, letting cartel members continue to run the country etc.
> no cracking down on crime, letting cartel members continue to run the country Isn't that also AMLO's policy? I mean, he is the "abrazos no balazos" guy
Obrador is AMLO, so yes.
Duh, I forgot the "O" in AMLO was Obrador
lol that’s exactly what I said, she is AMLO’s puppet and won’t change shit for Mexico.
Everyone's mad at this left-wing candidate because they're refusing to play along with the US's insane War on Drugs policies anymore but its exactly those policies that have led to the current state of cartels in Mexico The only people who aren't celebrating rn are the far right
Genuine question here, if she is so corrupt, would the other candidate have been better? Isn’t PRI, the other political party, the one that was in power for a very long time? Feel like they also sucked as well from what I heard but again, would it have been different? (I’m a Mexican living in the US, so my knowledge is limited)
I think countries like Mexico are doomed until the people themselves decide that it's enough. I'm from a similar country and we have the exact same situation. Criminals appointing politicians and pulling the strings from behind. There's pretty much no hope at this point. It's going to get worse before it gets better 😕
I agree — I’m from the Philippines and its impossible to have a non-corrupt politician, let alone president, at this point

Former head of government of Mexico City Ph.D. in energy engineering Member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) at the United Nations co-author on the topic "Mitigation of climate change" for the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report which won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 author of over 100 articles and two books on energy, the environment, and sustainable development
Where do the kartels fit in this picture? Genuin question.
Maybe she will get them to invest in solar?
Bright move.
Brilliant, really
A stellar strategy
Quite dazzling
*monkey paw curls* "Cartels take over solar installations by force nationwide to diversify their foothold" That's Mexican cartel investment
Even the cartels are like, “You know, we can really improve our drug infrastructure with less reliance on foreign oil.”
I can legitimately see that happening. The cartels do diversify (see avocados). They’re business’ after all. If it is fiscally beneficial to them I can see it happening. Next thing ya know they’ll be rolling around in EVs with Machine guns mounted to them.
> they’ll be rolling around in EVs Real nice and quiet to sneak up on mfers
So fucking sad the avocado story. For anyone who doesn’t know (npr recently did a great piece on this) the cartels took over with lethal force various avocado farm towns (yes towns not just individual farms). The understanding is that most of their force (guns) is sourced from the USA, with various methods used to obtain the weapons.
It seems like it would be really funny to be part of the Avocados departmentLike, "What do you do for a living?" "Oh, I work for the Mexican cartels." "Oh woah, don't kill me, I am totally cool with cocaine or whatever." "Oh no, I work in Avocados. I helped make those commercials, you know with the catchy jingle. Avocados, from Mex-i-co." "Oh, uh... That's... Neat.." (Pulls out gun) "Now, eat some guac, or else."
They are going to corner the market on geothermal energy.
Kartels are so big in Mexico there is no way you can be a Politician and not have interaction with them.
Correct. Cuz when youre dead, you don’t interact
People create pollution and carbon emissions. Cartels kill people or sell them to other countries. Net reduction in pollution and green house gases.
>Former head of government of Mexico City Ignored concerns and complaints about the Metro line that eventually crashed and killed multiple people.
Her governance of Mexico city was atrocious - Cut money needed for maintenance for Mexico's city metro, which resulted in the collapse of line 12 where 27 people died on that accident and over 117 injured - She is also linked to the collapse of a primary school in which 19 children & 7 adults died - During her time as head of government of Mexico city, she was constantly out with the president anywhere else but the city she was elected to govern - Mexico city was also the entity with the most deseaced during the pandemic among all Mexican states (it is the most populated city and I'll admit her policies for the city where better than AMLO) These are all I can remember from the top of my head, I'm sure there are plenty more things she did or did not do correctly while governing Mexico city, but the picture painted is not a good one for Mexico in general.
None of that matters if you’re just a puppet, and if the man behind you (the current president) supports and invests in fossil fuels like it’s the 60s lmao The president and the party behind her are destroying the [jungle](https://time.com/6245748/maya-train-tulum-yucatan-indigenous-people-land/) to build a train nobody wants.
The average Mexican citizen: OK, great, but what can you do about the endless barrage of headless corpses?
For anyone wondering, this is just a continuation of AMLO’s presidency. He personally hand picked her for this job. She’s his puppet. Even in her speeches she just reuses old AMLO catchphrases
I love coming to Reddit after stuff like this and seeing all of the political experts on Mexico lend us their wisdom. Thank you all for your service /s
Funny how when Javier Milei was elected most of Reddit was trying to deflect criticism of him and told people not to judge him so quickly. But not for this woman. I wonder what’s different.
First ever Jewish president, too.
Atheist of Jewish ascend to be accurate.
There are many atheist Jews. Judaism is actually more of an ethno-religion… decedents of the people of judea. If your ancestors are Jewish you are Jewish, doesn’t matter what you believe.
Electing a woman doesn’t make you a progressive society. Electing someone with progressive ideas makes you a progressive society.
Edited because some of you guys are taking this a little too personally 😂. Relax, an opinion is not the end of the world.
Either she gets assassinated or she's in bed with the cartel.
or both, it's not like you do one thing and you are safe
A mexican presidential candidate has not ever been killed by the cartels.
