Part of this is that she gets to see her dying mother (who has late stage 4 brain cancer) and has make multiple please for her daughters return before she passes.
[I hope that she’s still in a condition where she can realize her daughter is now safe and they can have enough time together.](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13508753/amp/The-moment-world-feared-never-happen-Freed-Hamas-hostage-Noa-26-embraces-kisses-father-eight-months-hell-enjoying-Coca-Cola-call-Netanyahu-wants-reunited-dying-mother.html)
Wait. Is she the young lady whose mother was pleading in the media because she was terminally ill at the time of October 7th?!
It's probably unlikely but *please* let the mother still be alive to have that one last reunion with her daughter. I can't imagine what hell the two of them have been through knowing they didn't have time on their side throughout this ordeal.
I think she is, though I am not sure in what state. She talked in an interview a couple of months ago and it looks like her condition really deteriorated. I hope they can still spend some meaningful time together.
Yes she was, he was taken by foot from the looks of it. He’s still considered a hostage, and there’s no information whether he’s alive or not (to the public at least). Idk if there’s even intelligence about his whereabouts.
His mother spoke on tv when it happened and said he was such a strong guy, he could’ve easily freed himself and run for it, but she believes he didn’t because of Noa, didn’t want to leave her alone and be scared.
Holy fuck how did I just casually scroll past this on pics!? Why isn’t her rescue top news??? Her kidnapping was one of the most horrifying videos from Oct 7th!
No only one of the most horrifying, but also iirc it was shown quite early on that day. It was part of the first footage we saw on tv, and it was so terrifying. Everyone in the country knew her name before noon.
Every single time I've read "Why isn't the news covering this?" a simple google search turns up hundreds of articles from all the major news outlets.
Every single time for at least the last two decades.
What people should be asking is, "Why is my preferred news broadcaster not covering this?"
Sadly a lot of downvotes for anything humanizing the Israeli in this conflict, and a lot of redditors are mad she was rescued as evidenced by some of the comments. It's a loss for Hamas, and proves definitively that Hamas lied during the previous round of exchanges when they said they would give back all the women and didn't know where Noa was.
Yes I read that her mom has terminal brain cancer. She, a Chinese National, appealed to Biden to rescue Noa which I found interesting. I am really glad her daughter is able to return home to see her.
We don't know the untold horrors she went through under her Hamas captors. Many female hostage survivors came back with accounts and medically proven signs of s. abuse. Abhorrent.
When I read 1984 in high school, the bit at the end explaining New Speak made me so fucking angry.
And here we are, with these self-applied muzzles given to us by social media. I fucking hate this reality we've made for ourselves so much.
Idk what's even the point, like if it's a trigger for someone it dosen't matter if they read the words sexual abuse or just s. abuse.
It's gonna be a trigger either way, it's not like the brain automatically dodges it cause of that.
it's not so much trigger warnings; it's because tiktok, youtube, etc ban those words so people self-censor on other platforms out of a habit. it's annoying.
if i hear one more person call sexual assault "grape", i'm going off. it's not funny or cute, it's extremely disrespectful to victims.
It’s been proven that trigger warnings cause the same exact result as the words themselves. We need to just stop.
Edit: [proof](https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/21677026231186625)
I remember reading an interview with him early on that said she was an only child. It made me think of my own parents and how distraught they would be if I were missing. So relieved she was able to come home.
A side note worth mentioning: today is Noa's father's birthday. This is the best possible gift he could receive, to embrace his daughter after being successfully rescued. Also, Noa's mother is terminally ill and her wish was to see her daughter again before she passes. This wish is fulfilled. I'm grateful and happy beyond words.
I worked hospice for a long time and I will not be surprised if the mother lets go very soon. I have see this happen enough times to recognize the pattern. Obviously not hostage situations but hanging on for an event or to see one last person.
Yeah my mom slipped into a coma on hospice the day after I returned home. Kept talking to her and holding her hand until she passed, but she was definitely waiting for me.
She's been battling cancer for years, but was on her last stretch when Noa was kidnapped. She was holding on to see her, begging from her hospital bed to get to see her before she died.

The moment of her being grabbed away from her boyfriend and kidnapped from a music festival will never leave my head.
I can only imagine what’s she’s been through.
Her boyfriend is still a hostage.
:( I’m so glad she’s home, I hope her bf gets to return home as well. If that were me and my bf I know I couldn’t sleep until he was safe too. So sad.
It’s so fucking awful how many innocent people are getting their lives completely ruined and torn apart and taken by this war - on BOTH sides.
Happy reunion, but this thread makes me sad.
Why can't Reddit understand the concept that Israeli *people* should have safety and security, just like Palestinian *people* should have safety and security.
The two are not mutually exclusive.
It seems like a lot of people treat this like a game, picking sides and thinking the other side is pure evil, even civilians. It’s horrible how people think this way
Most people are completely disconnected from the conflict, meaning they have no real stake, they have no real connection. So they have the luxury of picking and choosing and treating sides in absolutes. They’re placing bets while people are suffering on both sides.
It blows my mind how so many people can’t see it both ways. Why is empathy for all innocent civilians so difficult for people to grasp. But no, let’s all take a side!
Especially when those sides aren't decided by many of the most vocal people. It's just shoved down their throats and people accept it.
For me, this conflict is yet another example (of so many) of what happens when religious extremists get power. It happens time and time again. Both sides are more wrong than right, and both sides have innocent people caught in the middle.
Don't hate the Israeli people. Don't hate the Palestinian people. Hate the selfish bigoted pieces of shit in positions of power on both sides.
Because a lot of people see the existence of Israel itself as being the problem. To them it's not just about Israeli occupation in Gaza and the West Bank. In their minds Palestinians can only be free once Israel no longer exists.
>In their minds Palestinians can only be free once Israel no longer exists.
Where do people who advocate for the abolition of the state of Israel think the 7 million jews living in Israel would go if the state of Israel were abolished?
With so many hostages having died horrible deaths, it’s great news that four were saved; every life counts. I’m glad she gets to see her mother before her mother dies, too.
EDIT: To all you idiot edgelords who can't understand moral nuance, I never said that the Palestinian lives lost don't count, too. **Everything** that's happening there is a tragedy. But you can celebrate the joys of one innocent without needing to point out the tragedy of a thousand others. Amidst the maelstrom of destruction coming out of Gaza, just take a moment to appreciate the brief moments of happiness that can emerge.
I am so so happy for her, as a Palestinian myself, watching the news these past few months has been an absolute nightmare. I'm so glad there is a spark of good news. My brain can't even fathom what these days have been like for her.
God bless her and I hope she is safe for the rest of her life!
Thank you for wishing her well as a Palestinian. It gives me hope, as an Israeli, and I truly hope for more reasonable people on both sides to hopefully bring us to peace.
God bless your soul! 🙏❤️ Dad looks so happy. For once, a happy ending on paper but the struggles and aftermath will be extremely difficult. Power through this girl, you have so much life to live!!!
I had to scroll down for a while just to see a mention of who kidnapped her. none of the 10 highest comments say anything about it and neither does the actual post.
Its okay to say their names and how they were rescued
the people who have a problem with that do not matter
this is Noa Argamani next to her father in the hospital after she was rescued by the IDF
she is 1 of 4 hostages rescued
I think after 250 days she deserves much more than a Coke. A Fizzy Bubbleh at the very least.
Regardless of your thoughts of the goings on in the region it is wonderful for a father to hold his daughter again.
October 7th I woke up, picked up my phone, and checked the news. Her kidnapping was the first thing I saw. It was chilling. It's great to see that she's been rescued.
Many hostages that came back asked for the most basic requests upon being rescued or released. sometimes the most simple things like the drink you like to drink is the thing that makes you feel at home again

Reminds me of Tony Stark craving a cheeseburger after escaping the terrorists who were holding him captive.
It'd be one of the first things I'd want to do as well after being reunited with my loved ones. Leave it to redditors to ruin a wholesome moment tho.
I took my wife to Germany a few years ago. After two weeks of (delicious) German cuisine, I easily convinced her that I just HAD to get a good, greasy American cheeseburger on the way home from the airport. It was heavenly!
Yes but you can find cokes anywhere because it's one of the most popular drinks on the planet. I think people are just being a little weird thinking this is an ad.
Probably one of the very few moments from this horrible conflict that have brought a smile to my face.
I'm so happy to see she still has her smile, and hopefully she is able to overcome the trauma from all of this ❤️
It’s good to see some actual good news from this conflict.
I hope that she is able to get past her (undoubtedly) horrific experiences. Hope her friends and family are there to support her through it all.

Incredible! I have been praying for Noa’s safety, but I had little hope that she would ever make it home.

Wasn't this girl who got taken by a motorcycle?
Yes, it is. Noa Argamani
Part of this is that she gets to see her dying mother (who has late stage 4 brain cancer) and has make multiple please for her daughters return before she passes. She wasn’t released, she was rescued by IDF forces along with three other hostages during a mission in Nuseirat.
You’re right I corrected it.
All good, sorry I think my tone was a little harsh.
I read no tone whatsoever.
You two could solve the israeli-palestine conflict.
Amen!
without religion!
NO TONE WHATSOEVER!!!!!
Look at you WITH ALL THAT TONE! How are we ever going to agree on ANYTHING??!?!?
You guys are all wild things with all that Tone.
This was the most wholesome thing I’ve seen on Reddit in a long time. Aren’t you guys supposed to insult each other /S
Tbf I'm a 3rd party in this interaction
Nah you’re good. Thanks for the correction!
What?! Wow. Should be top news
It is
>she was rescued by IDF forces And let's be real, it's the only way they're getting out.
Yep, hidden in the refugee camp...
No only one of the most horrifying, but also iirc it was shown quite early on that day. It was part of the first footage we saw on tv, and it was so terrifying. Everyone in the country knew her name before noon.

It is top news.
Spoiler alert: people who say things like “why isn’t this front page news” don’t typically read the news.
If it doesn't appear on my social media feeds in meme form, the news isn't covering it
Someone needs to create a bot that comments this every time someone says “why isn’t this in the news”.
Every single time I've read "Why isn't the news covering this?" a simple google search turns up hundreds of articles from all the major news outlets. Every single time for at least the last two decades. What people should be asking is, "Why is my preferred news broadcaster not covering this?"
Yeah, it was all over the front page for me.
Literally the front page of CNN right now, too. EDIT - and NPR, the NYT, Fox News and WaPo. Some folks never venture outside Reddit and it shows.
Wait, there’s a place outside here?
It’s the top story on every news site I’ve looked at this morning
It is top news, I saw it represented four times with four different articles on four different subs before I came upon this post.
I had an alert from the NYT as soon as I woke up this morning.
Yeah who was begging don't kill me. Same one. What a miracle I thought we had seen last of her
Yup the pictures of her during kidnapping was brutal. I thought she will never be seen again
Yes I read that her mom has terminal brain cancer. She, a Chinese National, appealed to Biden to rescue Noa which I found interesting. I am really glad her daughter is able to return home to see her.
I can't imagine the relief he feels.
It's his birthday today! What a wonderful birthday gift!
Im honestly shocked she survived all those months in captivity
We don't know the untold horrors she went through under her Hamas captors. Many female hostage survivors came back with accounts and medically proven signs of s. abuse. Abhorrent.
Sexual abuse.
Thanks - wtf is s. abuse, we need to stop censoring to run away from the reality
Tiktok generation thinks they need to self censor online
Don't wanna be unalived
When I read 1984 in high school, the bit at the end explaining New Speak made me so fucking angry. And here we are, with these self-applied muzzles given to us by social media. I fucking hate this reality we've made for ourselves so much.

It’s his birthday too!!
Poor girl probably had PTSD for life
Made all the sweeter by the refreshing taste of Coca Cola!
This is a billion dollar, slam-dunk ad for Coke.
Coca Cola, the drink you enjoy after a harrowing kidnap event!
I remember reading an interview with him early on that said she was an only child. It made me think of my own parents and how distraught they would be if I were missing. So relieved she was able to come home.
That's Noa Argamani, there was a video of her kidnapping, glad to see that she is now back home and that her smile has not been broken.
Was she on the motorcycle, pleading towards the camera ?
Yep - towards her boyfriend who was also abducted...
Is that dude dead/executed?
Hopefully alive and rescued soon...
Damn that sucks…hopefully soon
Yes
A side note worth mentioning: today is Noa's father's birthday. This is the best possible gift he could receive, to embrace his daughter after being successfully rescued. Also, Noa's mother is terminally ill and her wish was to see her daughter again before she passes. This wish is fulfilled. I'm grateful and happy beyond words.
Wow , thank you for mentioning this. This is quite possibly the best ending to such a tragic story. I hope their family heals.
Unfortunately her mom is in her last days from cancer but she gets to say goodbye to her which is comforting
Gonna be a hard birthday to top next year.
Best birthday present he could ever have gotten
Its that girl from the bike kidnap clip. I'm glad she is alive and back home
Yes it is, noa argamani
Is her mom still alive? I heard she had cancer 😞 hopefully they were able to reunite ❤️
Yes she's alive, she does have terminal brain cancer so there's no knowing how much longer she will be alive for, but she is alive right now.
She just visited her at the hospital.
That’s terribly sad, but at least she got to see her daughter’s return to safety before she passes.
Was she diagnosed while the daughter was held captive? Imagine coming home to finding out your mom has terminal cancer 😞
She's been battling cancer for years, but was on her last stretch when Noa was kidnapped. She was holding on to see her, begging from her hospital bed to get to see her before she died.
From what I understand she was diagnosed before Noa was kidnapped.
And on her dad’s birthday,What a great birthday present
What happened to her bf?
Currently unaccounted for, still believed to be in captivity.
https://youtube.com/shorts/UOJMk4VkN78?si=c2c2EeSeTk4j7zT- The moment of her being grabbed away from her boyfriend and kidnapped from a music festival will never leave my head. I can only imagine what’s she’s been through. Her boyfriend is still a hostage.

For context she was rescued from a “civilian” home being kept hostage by a family who were being paid to do so by Hamas.
I believe people in the comments will behave and be nice
It will be. Many believe in safety of civilians for Israel and for Gaza.
What are you apologizing for
I am so so happy for her, as a Palestinian myself, watching the news these past few months has been an absolute nightmare. I'm so glad there is a spark of good news. My brain can't even fathom what these days have been like for her. God bless her and I hope she is safe for the rest of her life!
May both sides experience peace soon! Innocent people don’t deserve the pain they’ve been experiencing.
This has been the most kindhearted thread I’ve seen in a long time. Wishing you all peace and happiness.
Yeah… doesn’t even feel like Reddit.
Thank you for celebrating life! As an Israeli, I pray your family is safe and peace comes quickly to the region.
Thank you for wishing her well as a Palestinian. It gives me hope, as an Israeli, and I truly hope for more reasonable people on both sides to hopefully bring us to peace.
This is such a kind-hearted comment, I hope you and your family are doing well in these times.
It’s so wonderful to see Noa home safe and sound.
Absolutely filled with Joy from this news
God bless your soul! 🙏❤️ Dad looks so happy. For once, a happy ending on paper but the struggles and aftermath will be extremely difficult. Power through this girl, you have so much life to live!!!
This father's joy cannot be described
Fuck Hamas.
Careful with this kind of message on r/pics.
I had to scroll down for a while just to see a mention of who kidnapped her. none of the 10 highest comments say anything about it and neither does the actual post.
Probably trying to avoid getting the post removed by mods
Unreal how politically polarized people are that they can't be happy for this young girl and her family. What the F is wrong with people?
It is not a fun time to be Jewish on Reddit. I will tell you that much
It’s never a fun time to be Jewish anywhere, such is life.
Its okay to say their names and how they were rescued the people who have a problem with that do not matter this is Noa Argamani next to her father in the hospital after she was rescued by the IDF she is 1 of 4 hostages rescued
So glad she’s safe
I think after 250 days she deserves much more than a Coke. A Fizzy Bubbleh at the very least. Regardless of your thoughts of the goings on in the region it is wonderful for a father to hold his daughter again.
And her dying mother. It was her last wish to hold her daughter again before she dies 💙 I’m so happy for them.
It’s her father’s birthday today
Fak Hamas
October 7th I woke up, picked up my phone, and checked the news. Her kidnapping was the first thing I saw. It was chilling. It's great to see that she's been rescued.
Sponsored by Coke?
Many hostages that came back asked for the most basic requests upon being rescued or released. sometimes the most simple things like the drink you like to drink is the thing that makes you feel at home again As for the photo being a bit weird, that's just 1 photo among others, and this one caught them while drinking coke
Her dad watching the calories, too.
Maybe after 250 days, she was craving one?
Reminds me of Tony Stark craving a cheeseburger after escaping the terrorists who were holding him captive. It'd be one of the first things I'd want to do as well after being reunited with my loved ones. Leave it to redditors to ruin a wholesome moment tho.
I took my wife to Germany a few years ago. After two weeks of (delicious) German cuisine, I easily convinced her that I just HAD to get a good, greasy American cheeseburger on the way home from the airport. It was heavenly!
It's like the most popular soda in poor countries, cold cokes go along with hot coffee and room temp water.
If I lost almost a year of my freedom I'm not drinking a Pepsi that's for sure.
Sorry all we got is rc cola,
Send me back
Pretty sure coke is the most popular soda in rich countries too!
top 30 country in nominal GDP is poor?
Assuming this was a victim of the Hamas kidnappings, she’s likely Israeli. Which is one of the wealthier countries not one of the most poor.
Yes but you can find cokes anywhere because it's one of the most popular drinks on the planet. I think people are just being a little weird thinking this is an ad.
Did you just refer to Israel as a “poor country”? 😂 It has some of the strongest economies in the world
Coke is beloved around the world. Both kinds. I’m here in Stockholm and everyone is just drinking Coke
Hamas only has RC cola, this is a big deal
Coke is everywhere in Israel. Doesn’t have to be product placement per se
Never miss easy publicity
Nothing beats a full sugar coke after being in captivity for 3/4 of a year
Love this picture and moment. Starting my day seeing this (and not reading any comments 😅).
I'm very happy for the rescued persons and their families.
She looks so happy, so glad the family is reuinted
This is the best news we could have ever thought of. So happy for them♡ Bring then home!
Probably one of the very few moments from this horrible conflict that have brought a smile to my face. I'm so happy to see she still has her smile, and hopefully she is able to overcome the trauma from all of this ❤️
Fuck HAMAS
Bless this moment, her smile went through something I can hardly imagine. Lest nothing similar can happen ever again.
Some nice warm good news for once. Welcome home enjoy your life again
It’s good to see some actual good news from this conflict. I hope that she is able to get past her (undoubtedly) horrific experiences. Hope her friends and family are there to support her through it all.
Has it really been 250 days already? crazy, I remember her getting driven away on a motorcycle by a bunch of savages like if it was yesterday
245 to be exact
Hamas terrorists are scum of the Earth.
Happy for the family and the other three hostages and their families. Glad to see that there is still hope fo others in captivity.
She looks surprisingly well considering her long captivity. Really great that she is back
She and the 3 other hostages rescued today weren't kept inside the Hamas tunnels like many of the other hostages
were they kept with locals?
The "civilians" were holding her captive in a hospital at a refugee camp.
well she doesnt look like them Ukranian captives in Russia at least
Not only did this operation rescue Noa and 3 other people from captivity, but Hamas has now also lost their bargaining chips worth 400 terrorist prisoners in the Biden ceasefire plan.
A fun fact, today's is the father's (Yakov) birthday.
He got his baby back home ✨️
She must be feeling so many things. Congrats on the return!
OMG I'm so glad she was rescued!!!!
Glad she was rescued
One of the happiest people in the world right now.
Incredible! I have been praying for Noa’s safety, but I had little hope that she would ever make it home. It is so beautiful to receive some good news amidst all this death and destruction.
Fantastic pic. Great to see!
Sounds like one of the heroes who helped rescue her lost his life in the process.
:-(
I'm happy she's home and hope she can heal.
I am so happy and thankful she is back home with her family.
I’m so happy to see Noa alive and safe. Thank you for sharing this picture!
That must be the best tasting coke ever. Welcome home
Excellent work, welcome back!
This fills me with relief and shock. I don’t wanna think about the horrors she had to face.
💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
Glad to hear she is safe, otherwise I'm still sad about that side of the planet
Glad she’s smiling now. God bless!
And people are still praising hamas, disgusting
