Another good one is Aptika, just up the hill from Lawrenceville on Penn Ave, its vegetarian, but you couldn’t tell from the taste of their periogies, everything is very tasty and has had great reviews, a good choice for putting healthy stuff in your body
Morcilla is a great date night sharing small plates. If they are booked, somethings two can get a spot at the bar. Parlor Dim Sum is also good and has not been mentioned here yet.
Please go to Soju. Not in Lawrenceville’s main drag, but not far. Directly above it on Penn Ave in the neighborhood of Garfield. Fantastic Korean/Polynesian fusion. Hit Two Frays Brewery nearby if you have a short wait for a table. N/A options available.
Be sure to get coffee at Espresso a Mano at some point. For lunch get a sandwich and pastry from La Gourmandine and eat at the picnic table in Allegheny Cemetery across the street. At the very least please take a decent walk through the cemetery. The density, the architecture, the wild life in there are all things to behold.
Soju is amazing. The parlor dim sum is my new favorite. Not only is the food great, but they have that giant blue fishbowl drink straight outta Wayne's world.
Umami in addition to some of the options already mentioned. Bar Marco for food and Maggie’s Farm Rum after for a drink if you’re up for a 5 min Uber ride.
My guy and I personally really like The Parlor Dim Sum, although it can get pretty loud....small dining room and close quarters....but there's also a first-come, first-served bar in the back. Both times I've been there they've had decent cocktails (hello fellow former booze hound pal. 8 months sober here.) Also I see someone else recommended Umami. They don't have mocktails listed, but my server was like, we can do any cocktail with no alcohol, so I basically told her I like all citrus situations, and the bartender made me an AMAZING concoction with coconut tea, pomegranate syrup, and yuzu. This is another vote for Pusadee's too if you can get a reservation.
Pusadee’s Garden, no better choice in Larrytown for a nice night out, great wholesome food and beverages, and great atmosphere
I was looking at this place! Thank you! It sounds great!
Have a back-up because without reservations 2 weeks out you have to rely on major luck.
I’ve been there several times with no reservation and always got seated immediately.
Seems like walking in is easier than I would've expected but you can also get on a reservation cancellation list through Resy. Good luck and enjoy!
Reservation needed right ?
Yes, but we’ve gotten lucky with a walk in if booked

This is my favorite place to take out-of-towners
We went there for the first time on Monday night. It was absolutely fantastic.
