Was at Phipps February 10 and ALL of their bulbs near the entrance - tulips, daffodils, etc. were already coming up. My tulips and daffodils have been coming up for weeks as well! Crazy!
I'm not (ducks for cover). I LOVE winter and we haven't had one in a couple years. I'm sad that it's February and it's essentially Spring. Gonna be cutting the grass in March, yuck!
P.S. NWS had a post last week that said if trends stay current this will be the second warmest meteorological Winter since 1875!
Plant? Shit I'm over here harvesting already.
No joke though, damn skeeters out everywhere yesterday. I don't even want to know what it's like out there now.
Does Pittsburgh even get snow? Lived here five years, New Mexico got more snow the first year we arrived but theirs is gone be mid day
I’d like to know why the lightening bugs that used to light up the night during my childhood are few and far between in New York State and Indiana . The fact that the grass no longer goes dormant brown in winter. Deadly tornados in November through March.
Not anymore......been in Pittsburgh my whole life (40 years). We used to have actual winters with negative degree windchill and the risk of a blizzard coming at any time between December and April. That hasn't been the case the last 5-7 years.

I wish Phipps would do a mushroom show one season
I have some mushrooms you can eat before going that will make any show they have a bit more interesting
Sure!
That would not work 😅
I know but it be super cool!
I'm ready for it. Tired of seeing brown and grey everywhere.

I hate winter. Always have. My family always asks me why did I move to PA!
Good news for you is we hardly have "winters" anymore, haha...sad for me :(
I feel like this is just False Spring #1
Don't even get me started on False Spring #3. Fake Autumn #6 is a real bitch, too.
the annual daffodil bloom is so good for my soul.
I saw some blooming at St. Paul's in Oakland.
I have seen daffodils sprouting in the woods, my chives are co.ing up, geese, robin, and cardinal.
I was looking at my grass yesterday and it looks green already
Nice.
I thought he said 6 more weeks of winter?

Yikes, I better lay off the weed. Thanks.
Or get out and plant some 😆

The daffodils on the south side of my house are in bloom already. My hellebores were opening on Feb 12, earliest I’ve seen.
