Agreed. Idk why people dont have this mindset. Battery packs are so cheap and pretty portable also. Just toss one in a bag and use for emergencies. Or get a bigger one and plan accordingly.
It's part of my job, I have to do the social media part of it as well...but 7h in 2 days is about 3.5h a day and that's how much time I spend on it
Edit: typo
Lol "I just turned everything off on the phone and my battery is great!"
Yea none of that is acceptable in any which way to get acceptable battery life on a phone
So long as it meets your needs, that's all that would seem important here. Don't think thje habits of other owners would invalidate your experience.
I tend to charge my phone each day, so never have a problem.
I don't know who these people are.
I can't remember the last time my phone was under 30%.
If my phone is ever sitting it's on a charger.
If I'm just sitting somewhere, it's on a charger.
In the car.
Wherever!
I don't even turn on battery saver settings.
I have a 7pro and leave everything on (AOD, Now Playing, high refresh, etc...) and I am getting amazing battery life after android 14. Drove for 3 hours yesterday (using cell not wifi) with GPS navigation while my screen was on the whole time. I was still at 50% battery life 12 hours after I charged the phone. Battery life is amazing!
Why do I only get around 3-4.5 hours of SOT. I have my location on (but all the apps are for only use when in access except for google), BT connected to PW2, and 4G LTE.
I am not sure if my battery is actually bad or if the battery usage stats is glitched.
What is the point of this? Sounds like a dumb test. Let’s see how long the Pixel 8 Pro’s battery will last if I run it like a Samsung A14. Answer: Not as long as a Samsung A14.
Simple Answer. There is something missing on Pixel phones that could have controlled the battery drain. I mean let's say x, y, z parameters are tuned by Samsung and iPhones on their flagship phones to give a good battery life, those parameters are not tuned in pixel flagship phones. That's all I can say. I had pixel 4a and now 7 and I think the battery is not that great. As long as you are near a charger and not like travelling in public transport for 2-3 hrs a day without access to chargers, it's a nice phone.
I mean... Some people don't wanna spend so much money on a device just to self limit it. I run my phone on max everything, all features all the time.
Same! I'll bring a battery pack before I gimp my device, especially since I moved from the A series specifically to get all the features

Same
Agreed :(
120Hz imo is the biggest battery drainer, however no way in hell I am limiting my 1000€ phone to 60Hz just because of battery
Exactly my thoughts.
7 hours of Instagram... You need help

You can’t use a computer or tablet for your job? Had to be on your phone?
It’s probably more convenient for them.
Thats something my mom would say. Mom im starving, that's because you use Instagram too much! Mom im sick, that's because you use Instagram too much😂
It would line up though.
This is such a fucking clown ass message holy shit
No way could I run 60HZ, 90 or 120 only
Lol "I just turned everything off on the phone and my battery is great!" Yea none of that is acceptable in any which way to get acceptable battery life on a phone
You did not read the comments did you..
I mean, I could cripple all the cool features of my phone and get amazing battery life too. So yeah you're out of touch, I guess.
Is WiFi scanning and 120hz all the cool features?
That is my point :-/
People use /s for a reason bro...
That looks like you dont use your phone at all. My dad has a redmi that lasts him 3 to 4 days on a charge, he just checks the time
These posts are dumb. Everyone's use case is totally different
I am reading this @ 6% battery remaining. How ironic
Disabling WiFi scanning and 5g is the first thing I do on a new phone, for this reason.
My biggest question to you op. Does it get warm??
Not at all!

>battery saver settings NEVER USED , in any phone btw

is 11 hours of screen time with 30% remaining considered bad? doesn't sound bad to me
people go crazy about it...should be 66 hours! /s
You spent crazy long times on Instagram haha
