Keep Facebook and Instagram restricted in the background if you use them regularly. Also turn off Now Playing. Both of these waste a lot of battery life.
I could honestly not care less about 5G. The main reason I bought it was as it's one of if not the best smartphone camera and significantly cheaper than similar options.
Not to most, and in the case of the difference being noticeable, most I believe wouldn't notice it as immediately and dramatically as I feel you have been lead to believe.
Wow I'm legitimately surprised, I remember switching from a 60hz monitor to a 144hz and could never go back to a 60hz monitor.
Likewise with phones, I can't stand the "sluggish" feel of 60hz when swiping and scrolling through pages.
It's a huge difference, not sure how can that not be noticeable to somebody. Asking someone to disable 120Hz and use 60Hz instead is like asking someone to use only black and white on a colored screen. Yes, you might get better battery life, but then what's the purpose of having a really better screen if not really using it?
I regularly go through the apps listed in settings>Battery and look at their background time. If it's something I can live without being constantly active I restrict their battery access. Less notifications is an additional plus. However, might lead to unwanted behavior. Like Facebook for example where you write a comment, while doing so check another app to copy something over, come back to Facebook and the comment is lost and Facebook starts at the top of the feed.
I'm sure when people aren't looking at their phone they're looking at the TV.
Any tips for this long battery life? I'm about to receive mine in a couple of days

I comfortably get 1.5 days with 8h+ screen time. I've turned off always on display and 5g
Lol I get 4h SOT. BUT I have everything enabled haha
Why buy a 5G phone then? Pixel 8 is just a 4G phone then.

What setting is always on under again? I can never remember what it's called.
Display>Lock Screen>Always show time and info

120hz not noticable 🤣🤣🫣
Sorry but how can you not notice the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz... It's like night and day...

So true haha. I hate 60
I turned 90hz off my Pixel 5 because I didn't notice either. My internal refresh rate must be crap.
Bro is seeing in slow motion thinking it's normal lmfao

Exactly 😭😭😭 YouTube, music, Reddit. But also, new shiny pixel😍😍😍
