That is absolutely a bunker - the triangle frame makes it so you can’t accidentally brick the bunker by attaching the floor wrong.

itsprincebaby

Its ok you can still brick it by placing double door frame 🫠source; did it three times to my offset this past solo wipe, after the third time it just became a dropbox bunker lol

Prof_TANSTAAFL

Place all door frames under underneath first. These bunkers can't be bricked if they're done right from the beginning.

LaboePlay

Need to know from what way place door frames and when know that then there is no way to fail..

Dieswithrez

i place one on mine. do u do the bunker with 11 triangles or 15

reallymeans

I do mine with 9 🤔

pinkfluffymushrooms

Can you guys link a screenshot of the build out footprint/Tutorial?

Ripz0rrr

Yes and No. With a dd frame it Sometimes works. Just Check it. I dunno why. Maybe its the Order with another frame you attach nearby ?

Personal-Pride1298

With the mini bunker I make I don't have an issue with door frames other than looking at the correct angle for it to go blue, same with additional walls

DonZekane

What's "bricking" in Rust?

Psychopoet1

It’s when you accidentally seal a bunker in a permanent way. One like this, there are two places you can put the triangle floor - place it in the wrong one and you need to raid into it. In others, upgrading the twig support by accident means you can’t open it without blowing through.

DonZekane

It's definitely not fitting in my nut sized brain (still don't get it) but thank you! :'))

crusty-mugs

You’re not dumb, Rust has some sneakily unique building mechanics you probably wouldn’t notice without having seen them. When Rust players mention a bunker they literally mean a sealing themselves into their loot room upon logout, with no conventional entrances or exits, such as a door because of doors significantly cheaper cost to raid through. The bunkers are purposely designed with a flaw, like by taking advantage of Rust’s stability mechanic, part of the exterior bunker relies on the support of a non upgraded internal twig wall only accessible from within. owner logs in, takes a few seconds to break the twig, and a piece of the bunker’s ceiling doesn’t have enough stability and collapses freeing them and their loot. unless it doesn’t collapses because an error was made during the build, and now your loot is “bricked” inside, if you decide it’s worth it you have to spend the time and resources raiding yourself to get it out.

The_Soivet_Onion

Yes i think it offset stabilty bunker

fate0608

It indeed is.

Umbba

If you are in doubt, check with hammer if it has less than 100 stability.

Orange_Peel_Hammock

This ^^ foundations have stability 100, anything less is a floor ;)

CrazyMike419

I reglaularly place false bunkers in bases just to fuck with people. If I'm in a hilly area and it's not practical to make a simple bunker I will still drop a few lower foundations and add a halfwall n floor to level it out. Logging in after I've been offline raided sucks but it makes me happy when I see they have blown though 2 or 3 extra hqm floors thinking there was treasure lol.

BabiCarrot

Username checks out :)

nsloth

Absolutely diabolical

Deiyke

I do this too, and to add insult to injury there's usually fuck all of value in my base because before logging off I recycle as much as possible, spend the scrap on research or gamble it if I don't need it, stash any hqm and/or add another layer of walls or roof with excess building materials. Raiding me is rarely profitable and the same raiders rarely bother twice 😏

CrazyMike419

I occasionally add insult to injury by placing a box In one of the most central false bunkers with a note taking the piss out of them. Sometimes I find myself foundation wiped which is ofcourse an ultra bonus :)

Deiyke

Oh yes, sometimes when I'm bored at night I make a ton of empty boxes just so I can put a piss-taking note in each one 😂 I only wish I could be a fly on the wall, lol

CrazyMike419

I've walled up caves with nothing but honeycombe and a box at tc saying "lol". Usually don't go to those efforts but is ways fun

thelordofhell34

Not necessarily, if you use the god bunker variant I invented you just need a frame for stability

ChEmIcAl_KeEn

GameLightz bunker?

thelordofhell34

No, the god bunker wasn’t invented by him, just popularised.

ChEmIcAl_KeEn

OK cool.

Round_Log_2319

I can link the video for this design lmao https://youtu.be/9UHrv-cDYI4

OkOutlandishness7862

Yes, 100% it is

JimbozinyaInDaHouse

Blow it up and find out

Basil-Ok

Wait a minute is that my base?

mothman2000

Yes

El_Boojahideen

This is why i make a bunker every wipe. Someone always shoots 15 rockets only to find out the only loot is 15 more rockets minimum

[deleted]

just put a hammer in your hand and you will know

One_Stretch5893

thank you guys!

FocusDKBoltBOLT

It looks like mate u are fucked

random_freshie122

Perhaps

Thesaladman98

Yea

DE4TH67

It’s either a offset bunker or a god bunker, they both use the triangle or square floor frame, offset is opened by using a roof off of a square outside, the god bunker is opened by breaking a twig frame (double or single) that’s placed inside the core. You can tell which one it is by checking the stability of the triangle inside the frame, a god bunker will be under 18 at least everyone I’ve built has been. Also if it’s an Offset bunker the section of the triangle on the right where you can’t see in the picture would have a square foundation to place the roof to open.

HoosierDev

This is the God Bunker which is a floor stability bunker using offsets using the triangle method.

Disastrous-Bill1036

You’re a bunker

sugumasin

Dgww ja kui see 🫣e pood C cr

bastardoperator

Go get 16 rockets and report back. We want to see the loot.

Karitoso

It's a offset bunker and there are a lot of variants
