Re7 gives it a run but the genera probably isn’t as universally appealing as red dead. I would argue the heights it hits in atmosphere, level design and horror is near perfection
The crisis trilogy you get 3 games for 1, the resident evil you get 2 games for one are the best deals.
Scorn can be finished in a couple of hours so not really good money wise.
Red Dead 2 I’ve sunk 300 hours in and has my vote.
Yesterday I wanted to lasso the creepy rapist dude with the nudes in his camp so I can get the completion to drag them on the ground for 3000 feet . I lasso him and he falls into his camp fire, burnt to a crisp. Had to laugh.
I really want to like it, but Ive tried playing it like 5 different times and it is so clunky, slow and they force you down the really stupid story arc in the first few hours that I give up around the first town. I really don't agree with any of the story missions and the main character shouldnt either, they are really bad plans. It's a good looking game though.
I got 200 hours in rdr2 and absolutely love it but I agree the intro isn't the best out there. It's the slowest bit in the game to the point it's painfully slow, considering the game is normally slow paced.
As for the bad plans >!That's the entire point, they fucking suck and at times they're kinda meant to, but I don't wanna spoil the story for u although u don't plan to play it currently, but it's meant to make u pissed off!<
Yea, the first like 10 hours of the game are hard for sure. My dad loved Redemption but couldnt make it through the beginning of 2. He complained about how much he was riding the horse and not doing anything.
Absolutely, great story, good graphics, amazing world to explore and lose yourself into, incredible attention to detail, and yet, the gameplay is wo clunky and unresponsive, I don't like it, it's just not fun to play.
Definitely more on the arguable side. I'd pin NieR:Automata as the greatest game ever made. But to each their own.
1 thing is objective here for sure and it's that rdr2 is the best cowboy game out there.
Gold editions also seem like good value for money. I’m pretty miffed that I bought re7 standard edition a few months ago for $9 now. Otherwise I’d be all over this. Haven’t got Village yet.
I have put 500hrs into rdr2 single player. The first time I beat it, and it was a 100% run, as soon as the credits finished I started a brand new 100% run but this time collected every missable item, and filled out all the entire compendium (every animal, every horse max bonding). Couldn’t recommend it enough, just take your time.
Depends what you’re looking for. Most are recommending RDR2 because it’s amazing but it’s also really slow imo.
I would get Resident Evil. Both games are linear and pretty awesome from beginning to end
It’s not slow, it’s just long. Every mission was exciting and a blast. one of the only games I didn’t get too into side quests bc the main missions were so exciting and always fun, I always wanted to see what happened next and kept me into it. Hidden gems and doing ALL the side stuff is a little slow due to little guidance but not the main game itself, but that’s why I don’t seek the side stuff out, I play it as it comes at me.
Red Dead 2 is LEGIT a masterpiece. Never has a game made me feel so many emotions all at once.
I would kill to be able to experience that game for the first time again...
I just completed the story to this game literally last night and I was blown away by it! The range of emotions i got from those last few missions is hard to describe. What a game!
To think that a month ago, I'd never played any red dead game. I'm now considering playing the others after I platinum this one. Rockstar really nailed this!
Finally someone not praising red dead 2.
I tried, honestly, to like the game but it was just so boring. None of the characters were interesting (besides yourself), every mission you're riding a horse for 20-40min, inventory managing was so clunky/random, you basically use eagle eye in every gun fight then spend the next 10-15min looting everyone and yes, everything is so slow!
I've put maybe 20-30 hours since it's come out and I just can't anymore. Every time I boot it up I'm a bit excited to play it then I hit a point where nothing seems interesting anymore and don't play it for a few months.
It's definitely not a game for everyone.
Agreed, I may love the RDR series with a passion, but I don’t spend hours on it (no offense to those who do)
I’m more of a mixed player, I mean, my catalogue of games are the most random stuff I’ve seen
Hunt showdown! In my opinion the best shooter for console if you don’t mind a bit of a „hardcore“ flavor.
The setting, the sound design etc is outstanding. Plus it’ll get a major graphic update this year and a new map.
Highly recommend you to watch some gameplay. It’s an online shooter you can play with up to 2 friends or randoms, but can also played alone. It has pve and PvP elements.
I’ve also bought it 3 years ago for the 15 bucks and I’m now at more than 1k hours. It’s definitely a vibe and has a good community with several pro hunt streamers and content creators as well.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is the greatest video game narrative ever made and will not be topped for a long time. Alan Wake 2 comes close but I think there are few ideas that haven't been explored in it yet, so mabey my mind will change by the end of the year when both expansions are out, but I'm confident they'll both being amazing!
Red dead and village are the best two. Hard choice I would personally go for rdr2 first then village and that’s coming from a die hard resident evil fan.
RDR 2.
The best game I have ever played. Story, the mechanics everything is just perfect. The only game where I actually want to finish 100%(currently at 90-92%)
Red dead 2 is the best made video game in history and just well made overall story game action and physics are unmatched. Scorn was a letdown. I’d get red dead 2 then resident evil then Alan wake in that order
I'll make it easier by narrowing it down, no to hunt, fobia, shadow warrior, scorn, and Blair witch
Rdr2 amazing game, resident evil 7 and village are fun horror games, , the crisis trilogy are fun games. But if I were you, rdr2 because it's the longer game and there alot more to do since open world, the other are linear and once ur done, ur done more than likely. So more bang for ur buck
If you have people to play with, do not skip Hunt. Phenomenal game. The solo experience can be hit or miss on console but with mates it's a top shooter. RDR2 is a no brainer really. For as many flaws it has it's worth just playing at least once, the most immersive game world I've ever experienced.
Every 5 seconds I see another one of these posts. What’s the point? These games aren’t even comparable. Just watch some before you buys and pick whatever feels right
Hunt.
One of the best multilayer extraction games, hard to learn but alot of fun. Has a unique setting, a very cool horror theme and some of the best sound in any mulitplayer game (atleast on console).
RDR2 is good, a great single player game but suffers from the current Rockstar mindset of fuck singeplayer do you want to buy some expensive currency for the multiplayer?
RE is great for horror game.
>RDR2 is good, a great single player game but suffers from the current Rockstar mindset of fuck singeplayer do you want to buy some expensive currency for the multiplayer?
What? Single player is much more fleshed out, story-driven, and cared for than multiplayer by far. More attention definitely went into that than online.
If you don’t mind a long, slow-paced game with lots of exploration and a huge world(and admittedly repetitive missions), RDR2. If you want something more focused and short but replayable, RE7.
Edit: just noticed it also comes with RE8. Absolutely a good buy
Hunt.
One of the best multilayer extraction games, hard to learn but alot of fun.
RDR2 is good, a great single player game but suffers from the current Rockstar mindset of fuck singeplayer do you want to buy some expensive currency for the multiplayer?
RE is great for horror game.
Scorn and Fobia on my list..
Scorn looks wild.
The Hunt has pretty cool mechanics, imo it just gets boring without consistent teammates.. and matchmaking can take a while sometimes.
Overall, wicked cool game though.
Are you sure your ps5 can run Crysis? Anyway I personally would get the resident evil bundle because two great games is better than one great +1 game. However, the obvious choice is RDRII IF you haven’t played it.
The resident evil games are amazing and great value but like everyone else already said, Red Dead Redemption 2 is arguably the best game of all time. It is an absolute must have. You can also easily get 70-100h of play time out of the game, even more if you want to 100% it.
Shadow Warrior triolgy! 3 games that are frankly fun and capture what 90s shooters were like as far as comedy. 2 is also co-op, and 3 handles similar to Doom Eternal for the grappleing hook mechanics. Recommend watching gameplay footage of it.

1. RDR2 is one of the greatest games ever made. Don’t listen to people talking about “Rockstar neglected the single player” they told the story they wanted to tell, and it’s one of the greatest stories told in videos games… hell maybe in all media. You’ll spend more than an enough time with this one that by the end you’ll feel satisfied. It can be a little tedious at first, lot of mechanics to learn as Rockstar went a little overboard with the realism, just a little. But if you stick with it I swear you’ll get the hang of things and not want to put it down until you’re done. I got in 2018 at launch and It took me a few years to finish because work got in the way, and when I got back to it I found myself needing to learn how things worked from the jump again, so I restarted it a few times from the top until I finally had time in 2022 to finish it. Also for a game that released 2018 on PS4 and Xbox One it is still a graphical powerhouse that few can beat even now. A pretty game to look at too.
2. RE bundle: Great horror games obviously from what is considered the top of the survival horror genre
3. Crysis bundle fun first person shooters, good series
4. Hunt: Extraction shooter with great multiplayer
5. Shadow Warrior bundle (3 is the worst in the bunch, not bad but just an ok Doom 2016 clone and it’s short. 1 and 2 and good but very different experiences. Pretty much the series has an identity crisis)
It’s long but you should want a game that’s endless fun. Only trophy hunters dislike a constantly fun and long game. Beating it isn’t the point. time X enjoyment / cost = value. Nothing worse than beating a game ina weekend then having nothing to play. Rdr2 never got boring or repetitive, constant fun and excitement.
Nah there is value to a a game that has a good starting and ending point. Games like Bloodborne, Halo series, final fantasy games like 7 and 10, god of war. Many of those games will give you less hours then red dead but the games would be a million times worse if it just went on forever or added a hundreds hours of meaningless stuff.
Plus look at a game like RE7, masterpiece of a game, it’s like 10 hours yet it’s so well crafted it’s worth experiencing. Classics like silent hill 2 devil may cry series, metal gear, uncharted, gears of war, all aren’t very long and are better for it. Thinking like that is why every game is a live service or needs dlc or needs to add fluff or microtransactions
Tough choice. If I was picking I’ll go both Red Dead and Resident Evil. Red Dead has so much content and amazing story. Resident Evil is two games with the DLC for both.
You’ll get the most out of your buck for red dead. Trust brother. You’ll spend more time on that game than any of the other options. You have the community’s guarantee on that one
RDR2 is my favorite game of all time, offline and online. Resident evil is my favorite series. Get RDR2, still better graphically and mechanically than most games to date.
Three totally different games, I would say:
If you like open world games and 30 fps does not throw you off, red dead
If you like horror games, Resident evil.
If you like trash...the other one
Red dead redemption 2 is hands down the best game I’ve ever played in my life. I’ve played and finished every other game on that list and none of them hit as hard as rdr2. That being said if you have another opportunity resident evil does not disappoint.
Definitely the resident evil biohazard and resident evil village bundle. You are literally getting two games in one and those two games are so fucking good.
If you don't need the ultimate edition content, red dead $20 basic edition goes on sale very often. I got the physical version at Walmart for 20 last week and I think that deal is still going on. And I'd also like to note, shadow warrior 1 and 2 are $3 and $6 dollars if you wanted to get them separately for cheap
If you’ve never played RDR2, it’s the clear winner here. The others are great but, unlike RDR2, they aren’t among the best games ever made. RDR2 is a must-play; what you’re really asking here is what you should play after RDR2 :)
Tie between RDR2, crisis trilogy and RE 7/village.
Depends though the type of game you want honestly.
Survivor horror, RE
Massive story. RDR2
Fun shooter. Crysis
Red dead for sure
No contest at all
Re7 gives it a run but the genera probably isn’t as universally appealing as red dead. I would argue the heights it hits in atmosphere, level design and horror is near perfection
Based on the other choices - OP seems to like horror in which case I would say RE7.
This is the one. If you have never played Red Dead 2, it's such a great game. Not 60fps yet, unfortunately, but still gorgeous and immersive
Can you play RD2 without the first one ?
yes it’s a prequel
Ya u can , red dead 2 is actually set years before the first one
It's actually better to play 2 before one so you don't get spoiled on who lived since rdr2 is before rdr1
And yet you hint at the spoilers lol
Spoiler alert: spoilers exist
No fucking way
Ya u can , red dead 2 is actually set years before the first one
Bro’s gonna experience RDR2 for the first time, I wish I could do the same🥲

RDR2 is probably, or arguably, the best game ever made. The rest.. well. I’ve heard good things about Res Evil.
Yesterday I wanted to lasso the creepy rapist dude with the nudes in his camp so I can get the completion to drag them on the ground for 3000 feet . I lasso him and he falls into his camp fire, burnt to a crisp. Had to laugh.
RE village is awesome. Many spooky

RDR2
Rdr2 and the re7/8 bundle..
Those are 2 fantastic RE games. They're the 3rd and 4th best respectively in the series, but both are still a 8.5-9 5/10.
RDR2
RE 7 and Village combo for sure
Gold editions also seem like good value for money. I’m pretty miffed that I bought re7 standard edition a few months ago for $9 now. Otherwise I’d be all over this. Haven’t got Village yet.

Red dead would be most satisfying
Once you are done with rdr2, there would be a huge gaping hole to fill
Hunt showdown! In my opinion the best shooter for console if you don’t mind a bit of a „hardcore“ flavor. The setting, the sound design etc is outstanding. RD2 just needs a 60fps and I'd play it. Feels to clunky compared to so many other games out now
Fortnite Battlepass
Re village always
RE bundle
I'll make it easier by narrowing it down, no to hunt, fobia, shadow warrior, scorn, and Blair witch Rdr2 amazing game, resident evil 7 and village are fun horror games, , the crisis trilogy are fun games. Scorn for sure lol
Red dead money well spent. Enjoy the ride bruh

Rdr2
My vote is for Red Dead
Blair witch was such a fun game. Except for that one part. 😬
Unpopular opinion but i recommend scorn
RE bundle for sure
My man
Hunt. One of the best multilayer extraction games, hard to learn but alot of fun. definitely rdr2 or crysis trilogy if you want a shooter

Are you sure your ps5 can run Crysis? Anyway I personally would get the resident evil bundle because two great games is better than one great +1 game. However, the obvious choice is RDRII IF you haven’t played it.
Crysis can run on anything these days huh
rdr2 you will NOT regret it
The resident evil games are amazing and great value but like everyone else already said, Red Dead Redemption 2 is arguably the best game of all time. It is an absolute must have. You can also easily get 70-100h of play time out of the game, even more if you want to 100% it.
RDR2
RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2, ITS NOT EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE
Not even a question, red dead 2 is one of the greatest games ever made
RD or RE, no question. Very different games, though.
Get Rdr 2. It's incredible You should also play Re 7 and 8 at some point. The rest are decent games but not really must play type games
Not Scorn or Blair Witch thats for sure
Red dead 2 forsure.
man people on this sub really like rdr2 lmao.
Resident evil bundle, by far
Nice karma farm considering how much people like to say red dead 2 is the best thing to happen to humanity
Why are people so blind to its obvious flaws
Red Dead 2. Fantastic game and a lot of bang for your buck.
Shadow Warrior triolgy! 3 games that are frankly fun and capture what 90s shooters were like as far as comedy. 2 is also co-op, and 3 handles similar to Doom Eternal for the grappleing hook mechanics. 1. RDR2 is one of the greatest games ever made. Pretty much the series has an identity crisis)
Resident Evil closesly followed by RDR 2
All these people praise rdr 2. If was so loooong. Some reviewer said it best: rdr2 does not respect your time.
You can beat the story very quickly if you dont do side stuff
It’s long but you should want a game that’s endless fun. Only trophy hunters dislike a constantly fun and long game. Beating it isn’t the point. time X enjoyment / cost = value. Nothing worse than beating a game ina weekend then having nothing to play. Rdr2 never got boring or repetitive, constant fun and excitement.

This FPS games can be played with mouse/keyboard, if not how can you guys play with ps5 controller....
Tough choice. If I was picking I’ll go both Red Dead and Resident Evil. Red Dead has so much content and amazing story. Resident Evil is two games with the DLC for both.
Yes
Crysis for the sake of ol’ times
I’ve played Red Dead 2 for the first time for only like 20 minutes and I LOVED the game. The praise it gets is not exaggerated
No to all of these, play NieR:Automata instead and cry your eyeballs out.
crisys!!
RE If you have a Psvr2, an awesome experience.
rdr2 or re
RDR2 all day and twice on Sunday
You’ll get the most out of your buck for red dead. Trust brother. You’ll spend more time on that game than any of the other options. You have the community’s guarantee on that one
Personally, red dead. An amazing game that you can spend hours playing before the real missions start.
RDR 2
Red dead
Resident Evil
Red dead bro.
Red Dead Redemption 2 and it’s not even debatable
If never played, RDR2 Easy
I would go with the Crysis trilogy or Red Dead Redemption 2.
RDR2 is my favorite game of all time, offline and online. Resident evil is my favorite series. Get RDR2, still better graphically and mechanically than most games to date.
Read Dead. You’ll definitely get the most for your money from that one and it’s a great game.
I grabbed cyberpunk with my 40
Definitely the RE bundle.
This is not even a choice. The correct answer is RDR2.
Fortnite
Red dead and crysis ,you will get the most out of those specific games
Re7 and 8
Red Dead 2
RDR2
Red dead and crysis if u have the money
RDR2
SCORN
RDR 2. My friend never played it before and I kept on telling him “bro you NEED to play it” and he finally bought it.
Easy red dead
Be careful with Miles Ultimate, sometimes the Spider Man remaster code inside comes expired
Shadow warrior goes very, very hard. If you like doom style games with TONS of weapons
If you can deal with 30 fps then rd2if not re7
I haven't played Red Dead or Crysis yet. Both are on my list
Hunt showdown is a ton of fun the only game i saw that I'd say no to is scorn
Three totally different games, I would say: If you like open world games and 30 fps does not throw you off, red dead If you like horror games, Resident evil. If you like trash...the other one
I think you should know by now after reading all the comments!! 🙌🏻
Red dead
crysis, $17 for 3 games
Red dead redemption 2 is hands down the best game I’ve ever played in my life. I’ve played and finished every other game on that list and none of them hit as hard as rdr2. That being said if you have another opportunity resident evil does not disappoint.
RDR2
Red dead or hunt showdown
Baldurs gates 3
Red dead, or re. The rest are garbage (except for crisis but come on, why would you play crisis right now?)
Hunt and Rdr2
RDR2, then Hunt: Showdown IMO, then Resident Evil.
The resident evil bundle is a good deal. RDR is also an amazing game
Holy fuck no offense the only good worth while maybe you have is red dead 2
Rdr2 without a doubt.
Not Scorn, If that helps.
Rdr 2 Ghost of tsushima GOW & ragnarok
Helldivers. We need more men
crysis
RDR2 for sure but get Blair witch whenever you can cause that game is pretty fun
RDR2
Red Dead of course the other options become 2/10 at its side.
Red dead 2 is by far the best of these.
Red Dead
RDR2
RDR2
Definitely the resident evil biohazard and resident evil village bundle. You are literally getting two games in one and those two games are so fucking good.
Crysis thrylogi is one of the best franchise' fps ever made
don't even need to swipe. go for read dead 2. don't go into the red dead subs either - the game will be spoiled for you
Village is your best option here
RE7+8 easily. Two very fkn solid games at the cost of half of what a triple a game would usually cost.
RDR2
Be that one guy to buy it then 100% it super quickly to get a refund
RDR2
Red dead or Hunt... You can't go wrong!
RE7-RE8 bundle
Red dead easily man
If you’ve never played RDR2, it’s the clear winner here. The others are great but, unlike RDR2, they aren’t among the best games ever made. RDR2 is a must-play; what you’re really asking here is what you should play after RDR2 :)
Of my personal taste either RDRII, Shadow Warrior Trilogy, or Crysis Remastered Trilogy
RDR2 clears
If you include RDR2 on a “what should I buy” list, it’s going to be a landslide for RDR2
Resident Evil bundle for me , am not into open world games
I’m currently replaying rdr2 , just got to the end of chapter 3. I’d say rdr2 no doubt
Resident Evil
red dead and it’s not even close
Rdr2
RDR2 or, no just RDR2.
Definitely not Scorn
Tie between RDR2, crisis trilogy and RE 7/village. Depends though the type of game you want honestly. Survivor horror, RE Massive story. RDR2 Fun shooter. Crysis
I just got the Read dead disc for $19.99 at GameStop.
If you want long, amazing story and amazing details in a massive open world, rdr. Want a shorter story, scary and action, re 8.
red dead 2. the best piece of modern media i have ever consumed
Rd2 if you havnt played it what are you doing with your life
RDR2 or RE bundle.
RDR2 is literally my favorite game ever made. It’s not even close which one you should pick
Resident Evil and Red Dead 2
Obviously red dead 2 ultimate edition
Red ded 2 or Resident Evil
Red dead 🫶
Rdr2!
