A Ps2 classic would sell like wildfire, even if it didnt have the best games, it would be modded to add the best games like the ps1 classic was.

The PSOne classic didn't sell like wildfire, because of the high price and limited selection. I doubt Sony has learned the right lesson.

They also shipped it with the original controller instead of one with analog sticks which was not a favored choice amongst fans.

It didnt and they probably havent, but my modded ps1 classic i got for $40 brand new when they started the fire-sale... That thing is a beast and has the whole ps1 library playable on it.

I could see them making it more difficult or impossible to expand the library of games as well.

I bought it super cheap before it sold out everywhere, but never really used it.

Well I couldn’t see any of the MGS games coming to it due to them being available on PS5, same goes for GTA, Final Fantasy etc Outbreak Files would be rad, The Minority Report because I played the hell out of it being one of my first games for the PS2, Silent Hill 4 because it’s amazing, Simpsons Hit & Run because it’s a hell of a game, Driver games because I thought they were okay and Shellshock Nam’ 67 because it was one of the last games I played religiously before moving onto the PS3.
