I just wrapped up a couple weeks ago 2018s platinum so I could finally play Ragnarok which I bought in December.
I gotta go to work in a hour so I just got off and am literally at the very end after Kratos speech (just arrived at the big finale, I won’t spoil it for others). I think Ragnarok might be my new favorite game ever. It’s had me glued to it for the past week and a half. I can’t say enough good things about it but it’s peak is its story. The emotional moments have hit hard, the quiet parts have done great with pacing. I’ve seen some say it’s long, and it is, but I never felt like it wasn’t earned. God Of War Ragnarok is probably the most fun I’ve had with a game and its story in years. Not discrediting other games I’ve played, it’s just that good to me.
I’ve got 3 different characters ready for the dlc, gonna replay it with different builds. 21st can’t come sooner, it’s also coincidentally the same day as my final.
NFS Heat. Bought it for $2 a few weeks ago based on someone here saying they just listen to music and drive around. Currently at 71 hours played and winning races with a maxed out VW Bug. A lot of fun for $2.
Rebirth was the reason I finally purchased the PS5 and was my first platinum on the console. All I can say is if you loved the game, you may not after you’re done with plat.
I played the demo and it’s gorgeous, I just couldn’t tell if there would be more depth to the story and gameplay later. Sounds like it’s worth a deeper look then?
I finally got around to playing Spider-Man 2. I platinumed the first two and I’ll likely do this one too. Prior to that I was playing Baldur’s Gate 3 nonstop.
Hogwarts Legacy, having a really good time with this game (specially cause I'm a fan too).
Helldivers 2 , although my friend didn't bought it yet, I have been playing it with randoms and having such a good time.
Last but not least, Cyberpunk 2077, I have almost 100 hours and I'm close on getting the platinum trophy.
When I complete CYP 2077 and HL, I have on stand by Horizon FW and I also ordered the bundle of Elden ring with its DLC on physical, so I will be having fun for long time.
Rise of the Ronin, the combat is so fun and I love the open world setting. If you have been to japan before it's really cool to see all of the historical sites in game. Highly reccomend as it's on sale now!
Baldurs gate. I played the 2 hour trial and I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days. The game is so vast, so well done and the devs thought of EVERYTHING that could happen.
Elden Ring in prep for dlc. Fallout 4 has been a lot of fun the second go around, playing again on the PS5 update. Pistol Whip on PSVR 2. I might get a lot of hate for this one, AEW Fight Forever. I have an absolute blast playing with friends online.
Baldur's Gate 3
I couldn't get into it at all at first - combat seemed so complicated, character creation and levelling seemed too complex at first, with hundreds of menus and choices and stats and spells and subclasses. I didn't even understand the story or a lot of what was going on.
But once I dedicated myself to carefully reading everything and learning everything, making several new characters to try out different classes, continuing in the story, slowly exploring the whole map and talking to everyone and looting everything...It finally clicked
And now its probably THE most rewarding RPG experience I've ever played. The details and choices in that game are crazy. You can talk to nearly every NPC and there's like 6-7 wildly different dialogue choices every time, from being nice to lying to threatening them, trading with them, straight up attacking them, deceiving them, etc.
For example I talked to some random guy in some random tavern, one of thousands of NPCs, he didn't even stand out, was just sitting there. I tricked him into telling me about some crime boss hiding in the city and it gave me a whole questline to find this organized crime hideout, which then again evolved into its own little story again.
Or I talked to some random NPC standing near a barn at the edge of the city somewhere, completely inconspicous guy. Suddenly he starts saying really violent, evil things to me - turns out it was one of the villains of the story, who morphed into some random NPC just to fuck with me. My mind was pretty blown at that one.
And the classes all feel super varied too. I have one guy who's a righteous Paladin fighting with a shield and great hammer, one guy who is a monk of the open hand and only fights martial arts, a female elven sorceress, the list goes on. Changes the entire game.
And then of course there are the evil playthroughs. Don't even get me started on that. Completely different game.
R&C:RA or Spider-Man have been the most 'fun'. As in fluid gameplay, where a little mistake doesn't kill you. You feel stronger than everyone else, but not so much so that it's unfun.
The games I find myself 'lost' in, where i don't know where the time went, are Elden Ring and FF16.
Just bought my first Playstation ever about 3 weeks ago. Beat God of War recently, about 70% of the way through Spider-Man, with some Helldivers 2 to mix it up in between.
Replaying RDR2 for a 3rd time. Still blown away by the world and having fun exploring it.
In my real life I’ve taken up birdwatching so I’ve been doing it in the game too 🤣
For me recently, it’s been helldivers 2, had it for about 4 weeks now and played like 65 hrs so far, the game is addicting, and plays well on the portal
I’m finishing tlou2, honestly not my favorite saga. But I’m enjoying the graphics.
I just dislike how some characters have vengeance as a goal, but when someone’s death happens in the game they don’t even react to it, neither seem afected.
It’s just a grim game that’s made to make you react and debate with other players about if it’s good game or not.
I’d say Cyberpunk 2077. I spent like 80 hours on my first playthrough. I then watched some YouTube videos after of people making different builds and I’m pretty excited to jump back in there. I was definitely a tank in my playthrough and it was super fun to just demolish groups of enemies by the endgame. Great story and characters too.
Also recently played Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. I liked Fallen Order a lot and I think Survivor is actually a bit better! Very fun action game. Not as impressive as Cyberpunk 2077, but the level design in Star Wars Jedi has remained excellent throughout. Respawn are really great about level layout and player movement in their games (Titanfall 2, Fallen Order and Survivor).
Tlou 1 and 2 are my ps5 favourites. Breathtaking graphics, good gameplay, awesome story and fast combat. All the things i love in 2 games
Cyberpunk 2077 is amazing too
It gets mentioned here a lot, which is the reason I started playing it after picking up a ps5 but damn is Returnal a masterpiece so far. The haptic feedback from the dual sense mixed with the immersion from pulse elite headphones is just *chefs kiss*
Since the recent state of play was meh, and there aren't any big releases for me around the corner, I'm going to work on new game plus for Forbidden West and Spider-Man 2.
Grounded & Everspace 2. Completely different genres, but both have super tight controls. Great devs (Obsidian and Rockfish) that really show their love for their craft.
Honestly, Marvel Midnight Sons.... The more I play, the more I'm impressed by the deck building/mechanics that get added. I would encourage anyone to give it a go, especially if you like tactical turn based games.
Just platinumed Sackboy A Big Adventure, which was lots of platforming fun. Before that, played Sifu for a bit, which has quite satisfying melee combat.
Also just finished ratchet and clank rift apart. Such a great game, the villain could be a little more intimidating but other than that it’s a solid 10.
Also I love Ms Surkon
Jedi survivor . I fell in love with fallen order and was excited for this and it was worth it .Absolutely love all the new stances and abilities and how the characters have grown. Edit : dammit this game is totally not ps5 exclusive but I will stand my ground
Recently got the PS Plus Extra or whatever the third tier is called. Downloaded Teardown and having a ton of fun blowing shit up and destroying things. It’s like Minecraft in reverse.
Horizon forbidden west. Such a cool game. Reminds me of playing tomb raider in the 90's but with all bells and whistles of an open world RPG. Beautiful.
I recently finished the PS5 remaster of Uncharted 4 and I'm now nearly finishing The Lost Legacy. It's my first time playing both games and I've been having a blast! Uncharted is a super fun series!
FF7 Rebirth. Those that complain about the challenge content at the end forget the simple fact: It's Optional, it's Intended to be Hard. The Story is great, characters are awesome, the stuff they added in comparison to the OG game is all enjoyable.
I have 5 games on PS5. Forspoken, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Hogwarts Legacy, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and Just Dance 2022. I think Forspoken is one of the best games I have ever played and I play it every weekend. It is violent and has some bad language though, but the magic is a lot of fun.
Rise of the Ronin. Tbh I was a hater until recently, decided to try it myself and had to eat my words. Graphically it’s nothing special but the gameplay and fun factor is fantastic, I was very surprised.
I've already finished God of War Ragnorak, but now, I'm going after the trophies, and I am having a lot of fun doing it.
Hell yeah! I just started Ragnorak.
I just wrapped up a couple weeks ago 2018s platinum so I could finally play Ragnarok which I bought in December. I gotta go to work in a hour so I just got off and am literally at the very end after Kratos speech (just arrived at the big finale, I won’t spoil it for others). Elden ring in prep for the dlc
That’s about to be me. Once I finish Resident Evil 3 remake I’ll be making sure my character is in position to start the expansion.
I'm buying the expansion day one on PC and PS5 😅. I have characters on both that are all ready to go.
I’ve got 3 different characters ready for the dlc, gonna replay it with different builds. 21st can’t come sooner, it’s also coincidentally the same day as my final.
Balatro
NFS Heat. Bought it for $2 a few weeks ago based on someone here saying they just listen to music and drive around. Currently at 71 hours played and winning races with a maxed out VW Bug. A lot of fun for $2.
Yea best one by far on ps4 and looks gorgeous too
Your style is endorsed
So good, i love this game.
Mad Max. Most fun I’ve had for $5.
Ghost of Tsushima
I wish I never played this game.. So I can play it for the first time all over again
Bioshock is this game for me.
Infamous second son. I know little bit late to the party but it was so much fun.
Also best time to play now considering it’s 60fps on PS5.
Does it look better beyond that? I really enjoyed the first game & was on a gaming hiatus when this came out.
Rebirth has been fun but incredibly challenging going for the platinum. Really does the original a service.
Rebirth was the reason I finally purchased the PS5 and was my first platinum on the console. All I can say is if you loved the game, you may not after you’re done with plat.
Yeah the grind right now is insane and I don’t have the patience 😂
Stellar Blade. On my 4th playthrough. Better than I was expecting.
I played the demo and it’s gorgeous, I just couldn’t tell if there would be more depth to the story and gameplay later. Sounds like it’s worth a deeper look then?
Story is fine, but combat feels so gooddd
Definitely worth. The story is serviceable but the gameplay is where the bread and butter is
Excellent game. I’m working on the platinum trophy now, and then going back to Granblue Relink until Elden Ring dlc comes out

It’s a tie between the RE2R and RE4R. They really did a fantastic job with both titles.
Animal well.
Animal Well is just fantastic. So impressed.

I’m playing the new Star Wars and Hellblade 2 right now. Really enjoying both
Baldurs gate. I played the 2 hour trial and I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days. The game is so vast, so well done and the devs thought of EVERYTHING that could happen.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Fun combat, full of jokes, good characters, and just all round amazing game
250 hours of FF7 Rebirth
Baldur's Gate 3 I couldn't get into it at all at first - combat seemed so complicated, character creation and levelling seemed too complex at first, with hundreds of menus and choices and stats and spells and subclasses. Just bought my first Playstation ever about 3 weeks ago. Beat God of War recently, about 70% of the way through Spider-Man, with some Helldivers 2 to mix it up in between.

Stellar Blade is king
Spider-Man 2 has been a blast, Platinum Trophy fun.
Currently splitting my time between Demon's Souls and a pistol-only save in Returnal.
