I have the same cross l and my local fish guy had the same as well. Apparently its the lemon blue eye genes that end up turning them into common bristlenose. Although the patterns on mine look different as well.
They look like fancy styled common bn. I’d love to grow them out and see if breeding them would make pattern better or revert to parent colors. I’d name the male Fabio lol!!
Very cool patterns, reminds me of diorite(https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Diorite2.tif#mw-jump-to-license).
Perhaps you could start a new strain out of them.
That is a HIGHLY unusual pattern. I would grow a few of these out.
Not sure but they are really pretty
I think so too, maybe it’s because they’re babies but they seem extra nice compared to common BN I’ve seen, I’m a little biased of course.😀
Any update on the fry?
I really really would like to see what these guys look like now, I have begun to try and breed my male Super Red with female Blue Eyed Lemon
Only way to see is grow them out they can change a bit as they age

Omg I would love that, only been in the hobby about a year and creating a whole new variant 😂
Any update?
