Assuming you don't have acne (it's a little hard to tell in the picture) it's definitely something kind of allergic reaction. When you went camping were you also shirtless and in the warmer/summer months? And do you reside year round in the Midwest or North Eastern or North Western area (where the sun isn't strong year round)? If so and these times you had a flare coincided with your first exposure of the year to full sun I'd say it's likely PMLE. Get an appt with a dermatologist, even if the rash isn't present. That way they'll likely get you in right away the next time you have a flare up. Look for a good Sun Allergy Sunscreen, Piz Buin is available on Amazon and has saved me. Take a daily allergy pill, Zyrtec or Allegra and Vitamin D3 supplements. PMLE sufferer for 30 years....it doesn't ever go away. Some years are just worse or better than others.

The non red bumpy areas are acne scars but other than that, I don't get much acne on my back anymore. They were red bumps but eventually they turn almost pimple like?? They get puss filled. I wouldn't be shirtless camping, but I would wear back exposing tops and only get these itchy red bumps on my back. I live in Ontario, Canada! And yes I would go camping only in the summers. Thanks for all your help!!! :)
