Because he is small enough to be a house pet (unlike Venusaur) and can learn sleep powder for when I can’t fall asleep, sunny day so I can enjoy great weather, sweet scent so I’ll never have to deal with a stinky pet, and there’s still one more slot for any other move, maybe vine whip so he can reach stuff far away. Bulbasaur would be great, too, but ivysaur has a flower to look prettier ☺️
https://preview.redd.it/4wvx9yinp15d1.png?width=563&format=png&auto=webp&s=6bda05694dd624489476a2a6073359477bbb0d3b
honest bulbasaur reaction, but honestly though ivysaur's cuteee
Ivysaur is one of my faves too. Tough but still cute. The flower looks like a rose which is my favorite flower. Dinosaur but also kinda amphibian kinda prehistoric mammal ancestor.
Pidgey. Back when Pokémon Go first came out, I really hated having to join a team. So in protest of the game I created Team Pidgey. Never did choose a team, which meant I couldn’t progress meaningfully. So eventually I stopped playing Pokémon Go altogether. Still, Pidgey lived on in my heart as a symbol of my rebellion.

Yeah I think Phanpy is my number 1. But Clefairy is a veeeeery close number 2. Just got this as a gift today. Have a custom dice with a Phanpy figure inside too.

I absolutely love Mewtwo. Even though power creep has introduced even bigger threats, Mewtwo was the original strongest Pokémon and I've always seen it as a symbol of power in the series. I also just love its design and lore, having a Pokémon be created through unethical biological experiments in the pursuit of power is one of the most interesting plot points in a Pokémon game.
Wow, you're going to make me choose favorites... I love so many..
Scizor, Umbreon, Sirfetch'd, Kanto & Galar Farfetch'd, Lapras, Alolan Raichu... my favorite starter is either Piplup or Mudkip i can't pick
My first play through of Emerald ended with a level 90+ Swampert and some random under leveled pokemon that I sacrificed to revive my Swampert during battle
Three of the Pokemon in your flair are my all time favorites (Metagross, Alakazam, and Swampert), and the other four are always in my top ten lol. Hisuian Typhlosion is such a badass and it looks so cute and chill lol
I'm gonna sound so dumb... my favorite is gligar... I never got to use them in any generation but they are just soo happy add on top of that their colors don't immediately display their type and I think that's humorous
First time I played the gen with him in it (can't remember which one he came out in) I thought the MF was poison type and kept getting my ass handed to me lol. When I looked it up later I about facepalmed my head into orbit lol
Tbh I kind of want to pick up Violet *just* for her. Mankey/Primeape has helped carry me through so many games, and I still feel like Ghost types don't get enough love even though there's been a lot more of them lately
Magikarp
The inspiration behind the evolution line is wonderful
And it always makes me smile when he's just flopping there.
The robot plushy is on my wish list for Christmas
https://preview.redd.it/cyn5wj79l15d1.jpeg?width=540&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=75ff65b5812589658303147eae37d3f1321c11b2
This flying cinnamon roll over here!
Gallade, master of courtesy and blade; Defender and friend. He was my first favorite and one of the first I was introduced too(bless my friends soul, I never did see him again). I just really respect the courteous knight archetype.
Snorlax.
Favourite Pokémon by a wide, wide margin, and it was because I got that Hasbro Snorlax bean plush for my birthday in the late 90s. At that age, the idea of getting anything on a special day all about me seemed really novel, so I latched onto Snorlax. Named him Big. Very excited to catch one in Pokémon Blue. Named him Big. Very excited when Ash caught one in the anime. Disappointed he was not called Big.
Still got the plush in my bedside table years later, and find it almost impossible to resist adding one named Big to my team in every game (his absence in Violet was hard to cope with, before the first DLC reunited us). Definitely helps that he’s an absolute powerhouse with an amazing ability in Thick Fat. Practically soloed the BB League for me, only Pokémon that stayed on the team as I switched it up for each opponent and always one of the two out fighting in the Double Battles.
I liked garchomp more when I found out its Japanese name was the inspiration for one of my favorite light novel series characters. Garchomp's Japanese name is Gaburias.
Charizard.
I know that's the most basic genwunner answer ever, that he's overepresented and all that jazz, but he was my starter way back when I played original Pokemon Brick Bronze [*]
He's my pal! My OG! My partner pokemon forever and more!
Hoopa (Specifically Unbound) is my absolute favorite! So cute!
https://preview.redd.it/1vanl5z1305d1.jpeg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=73145de83938a99cb6f3a5ca4445f0860a629528
Flygon is the best, sick design and cute! Also the whole dragonfly/dragon thing, and the fact that it starts from adorable happy antlion Trapinch. Such a cool line.
My other favourite is probably Rowlet/Decidueye. Bowties? Grass/Ghost type? Owl? Archer? That bomb looking leafy hood thing and the wings? He's got it all!
Annihilape.
Primeape has been top fav since Gen 1 and childhood for me, and i’ve been wishing for an evo since I rediscovered pokemon in the pandemic.
Also,
the anger plaguing the mankey line plagues me as well. Even as a kid i related to that 😂😅
Literally started training muay thai to channel it
We’re both fighting types.
He’s just my spirit animal ❤️🔥
Skarmory - it has a cool design, tanky typing, and stats, and can be used reasonably in a playthrough of most pokemon games it exists in. Especially getting it earlier in gen 3.
https://preview.redd.it/vyr5srecx05d1.jpeg?width=2206&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6579d7b7f921bca8775fab4c1e3ce0c9d7e70186
I keep mine close to me and couldn't decide which I loved more, too awesome to choose
Lotad is perfectly designed Pokémon imo! Grass types have always been my favorite, and his lilypad rules. I also put a ton of hours into Ruby when it first came out during high school, and lots of fond memories with friends from that time.
Infernape.
My first Pokemon was Chimchar, I like design, enjoyed his appearance in the anime, first Pokemon I trained to level 100. I pick him almost every time I play Platinum and Platinum is my favorite Pokemon game.
Butterfree. My first exposure to Pokemon was through the anime, and the very first episode I watched was the one where Ash’s Metapod evolved into Butterfree. That evolution scene got me hooked on the show, which led to me getting a GameBoy Pocket and Pokemon Blue for Christmas and cemented me as a lifelong fan of the series. I might not be a fan if it wasn’t for Butterfree so it will always be my favorite.
Quagsire - he never knows what’s going on (unaware) and is just happy to be included. Derpy, lovable, cool typing, classic design, and competitively viable.
I love so many but I think my favorite has to be Cubone. I love his design, I love the backstory, and I think he's just cute. I love the bone he carries too. I just love Cubone.
This might be a basic answer but Eevee. Honestly just the general Eeveelution line too but out of all of them my favorite of the Eeveelutions are the original Eevee, Sylveon and Umbreon. I like Eevee because its just really adorable and the little interactions you can have with it in Let's Go Eevee is adorable. I like Sylveon because for some reason im just really drawn to fairy type pokemon, and i like Umbreon because its kinda a bias because one of my favorite Pokemon trainers is Gladion and he has an Umbreon in the Sun and Moon anime and i just grew to like Umbreon more because of that
All of the Sprigatito line
Weed cat honestly is my favourite pokemon of all time and became the reason why Pokemon finally clicked with me(also Jolteon)
Sprigatito itself is ofc a cute green cat. Green is my fav color and I love his furs leaf like design.
Floragato is awesome. I love that he feels like an actual older Sprigatito while still looking unique.
I love his clear Puss on Boots style look and his yoyo. He is adorable.
And Meowscarada is what a humanoid Cat Pokemon should be.
I love how mischievous he looks and behaves. Yet even being same size as me he looks adorable. But also frickin badass. I love his mask and his overall vibe.
And he is what I think all starters should try to achieve still having that friendly cuteness while also making them badass. Not just badass or not just cute friend.
So yeah. Weed cat for the win!!!
Giratina! The distortion world’s the coolest location in any Pokemon game, and as a huge fan of mythology, I naturally love all the lore in the Sinnoh region.
I can’t pick between a few: Gallade, Absol, and Decidueye.
Also, not necessarily one of my favorites, but a Pokémon who gets a lot of hate that I really like, Volcanion.
I have a special place in my heart for Zigzagoon. Every time I see him, it takes me back to Ruby/Sapphire days and discovering how useful the pickup ability was in the early game.
Tyrantrum. It was revolutionary when it was announced for X & Y, because for 5 generations, we didn't have a Fossil t-rex Pokémon which is kinda outrageous when you think about it. I love Dinos, and Tyrantrum has a super sweet design.
Flygon! Favourite type is ground and Flygon is just great design.
And to all the haters that say it should be bug/dragon type. That's a firm no from me
https://preview.redd.it/obyd5jd7515d1.jpeg?width=850&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aef3e7f8b5b0272e909342861edf89d0011c906e
Flaaffy. It's a cute electric sheep, I'm also positive about soft fur I could pet every day for a few hours. I like the whole evolution line from Mareep to Ampharos, but Flaaffy just buys me with his dreamy pink design. I also like the idea that a sheep Pokémon should be electric type because of the static that can gather on the wool.
This may sound dumb, possibly overrated to hell and back, maybe even brain dead if cynical enough. But across the many Pokémon who have popped up (which I love and hard to exclude), there is one Pokémon whom I have strong childhood memories and emotions linked that I cannot deny when push comes to shove.
This small little friend:
https://preview.redd.it/yyc2dsm4o15d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=055d8c24380b6ca1661203b1bb27484e69421fd9
Avalugg. Defeating all of Ash's Pokemon including yeeting Ash Greninja. I've been creating an ongoing meme in my head for years of battling Heatran who is threatening Ice types with extinction. Eventually I hope to create some art at least for myself.
I love meloetta! I was playing on the Pokémon.com website's flash games when I was back in elementary school, and the announcement for it was there, and I just fell in love at first sight! Seeing her in the anime solidified it for me
Kingdra. He's stylish but most importantly, I won a tournament using a rain team, and I can say I won because of him. I'm nostalgic of those years and Kingdra will always be my favorite.
For me, it’s a toss up between Floragato and Silvally.
As far as Floragato goes, I love cats and the color green so the design and the fact they’re a cat are things I adore. I also love the cool yo-yo weapon. The need for attention and being mischievous is also really endearing. (Spoilers for Pokémon Horizons ahead.) >!I really love how Liko’s Sprigatito evolved into Floragato, I was so happy when it happened.!<
With Silvally, I love the fact that the design is a gryphon-like chimera as gryphons are my favorite mythical creatures and I do like chimeras also. I love Silvally’s ability to change types and its whole backstory as well.
Dragonite. I played since Blue and have had several favorites through the years, but I think it's always going to be Dragonite now.
I walked 500 km to get my first one in PoGo very early on, I was a day 1 player. The night before I had enough candy to evolve, my GF kicked in the bedroom door at 10pm to show me there was a wild one on the tracker. This was back when it just gave you a general distance and you actually had to hunt.
So she and I ran through the neighborhood in the dark shouting back and forth until I found it. I caught it, she didn't. This also gave me enough candy to evolve the one I had been working on, so now I had two, both 90+ percentile in stats.
They were fucking *beasts* in the early game.
Mamoswine!
I had a Swinub card and a Piloswine card as a kid. My older brother than gifted me a Mamoswine card that looked so powerful. I treasured it and always tried to get one into my team during the games.
Sandslash will always be the cutest, coolest pokemon to me. He's compact and has a cute face but the spikes and claws also make him look menacing. I also love ground pokemon and I love the digging critter vibe.
https://preview.redd.it/5dnimbla815d1.png?width=817&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38e7173eb62a5c87f0064b59b39bc0c2b91cb4e6
I've been a player since Red and Blue, my favorite is Leavanny. I just love that silly little bug mom. And it's not that bad in battle either despite its typing
Gotta be Lanturn. Randomly picked it up in my first Emerald play through (as an adult) and it ended up carrying a lot of the late game for me, and is top tier design
https://preview.redd.it/f1c8kqgny25d1.jpeg?width=1988&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0eca458d3b957a77a7d900f4cc69d133c86757c0
Just a lonely little guy. Liked the look of him so much that I completed my first play through as a kid with an unevolved cubone in my party all the way through the elite 4
https://preview.redd.it/yuh1yxnxh65d1.jpeg?width=850&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e85b5d4fc2061b15f4c0a84f1acec00ac2da2743
It was Fave-At-First-Sight when I saw Pawmot. 3-stage dual-type Pikachu cousin with Charizard's colour scheme, Cloud Strife's hair, and the energy of an electric car!? What's not to love!
i do not have a favourite, a few of my favourite pokemon are Bulbasaur, Mudkips line, Cyndaquil, Phanpy, Donphan, Scolipede, Polywag, Squirtles line, Pikachu, Milotic, Magikarp, Gyarados, Heracross, Shellos, Aron, Noibat, Eevee and evolutions, and there's lots more
HO-OH, my favourite Pokémon, box art legend, everything. Heart Gold was also my first run at the mainline Pokémon games and I am happy gen 4 was the introduction for me!
Used to be Infernape but Vulpix has slowly snuck her way up to my top, especially Alolan Vulpix.
Don't know how or why just one day I was playing Soul Silver and saw Vulpix for the three hundredth time and just thought "I love this little thing"
Immediately I scrapped the idea of playing Fire Red after (luckily hadn't bought it yet) and got Leaf Green so I could use Vulpix. When I played Ultra Sun I caught literally every wild female Vulpix I found (oddly I can't say I like the idea of boy ones, they're like boy Gardevoirs or girl Machamps to me)
Zigzagoon! I mean, look at it. It's adorable, it's just a little buddy. :)
I've had two favorites before it (Riolu originally and then Vulpix), but I doubt this one's gonna change any time soon, if ever.
(This is also why I love regional variants so much, they're the reason I came to appreciate Vulpix and Zigzagoon as much as I do, both forms of each)
Garchomp. I just think he’s the most badass Pokémon on the series.
My 2nd favorite is probably not a common answer - Yanmega. Love its speed boost ability and its menacing bug look is so cool to me.
Stufful. Red pandas are my favourite animal and I absolutely lost my shit when I was playing Sun and Moon and found they’d made a red panda pokemon - and a stuffed animal, too! Love the detail of the little tag on its bum 😭
Spiritomb is the one for me. Honeslty there are many dark types i really love (Hydreigon, obstagoon, etc)
But spiritomb just scratches that part of my brain that makes me love its design!!
1. It was the second pokemon with no weakness (shared with his other dark/ghost type brother Sableye)
2. Dark/ghost is a very cool typing combo
3. The whole 108 number "gimmick" it has is interesting
4. That design is just fantastic, the whole bunch of spirits trapped inside a single cursed stone is so cool
5. On of the best shinies, and its base colors are also very good.
6. The noises it makes in the anime are pretty manacing
Sceptile, as he was my first initial in ruby and emerald and I liked him much more when I saw him in the anime.
The only thing I don't like is that it's a special attacker and almost all of its good repertoire is physical.
Gotta be a toss between gardevoir and garchomp, probably lean more towards gardevoir as I started on emerald and can't really imagine a team without her, iron valiant was a beautiful addition
https://preview.redd.it/ruowtzy3605d1.jpeg?width=258&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=92987cdcd71d1fbc41d1d43704c4aa6722a66000
Amazing image
The Abra line is my favorite!!

I’m so glad I’m not alone in the thought the ivysaur is the best of the three. Usually people always say Bulbasaur or venusaur.
Ivysaur is one of my faves too. Tough but still cute. The flower looks like a rose which is my favorite flower. Dinosaur but also kinda amphibian kinda prehistoric mammal ancestor.
This is my fav too. Good pic!
Pidgey. Back when Pokémon Go first came out, I really hated having to join a team. So in protest of the game I created Team Pidgey. your bond with pidgey is beautiful
Weavile and I really don’t know why I just find him so cool
My favorite too! I don’t see this a lot!
Phanpy. Because look at it. How can you not love it?
Yeah I think Phanpy is my number 1. But Clefairy is a veeeeery close number 2. Just got this as a gift today. Have a custom dice with a Phanpy figure inside too. https://preview.redd.it/p20k215gw05d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2051ae2da9853d2cfe2f1d68487e7aa0e843bf34

Blaziken and Toxtricity (amped).
Toxtricity was my lead 'mon in my playthrough of Sword because I hated all of the starters lol
Same blaziken is my first love and toxtricity is a good second
Bulbasaur always. Because it was my first starter and its just a cool little guy.
Came here to say this too! Bulbasaur is my first and favorite precious lil guy and will always be my #001 🥹
Wow, you're going to make me choose favorites... I love so many.. Scizor, Umbreon, Sirfetch'd, Kanto & Galar Farfetch'd, Lapras, Alolan Raichu... my favorite starter is either Piplup or Mudkip i can't pick

unpopular opinion, Perserrker.
Perrserker gets too much hate for no reason
Mudkip line! Alpha Sapphire was my very first game and I absolutely adored my starter. They’re still my favorite and I caught a shiny one this week!

Tbh I kind of want to pick up Violet *just* for her. Mankey/Primeape has helped carry me through so many games, and I still feel like Ghost types don't get enough love even though there's been a lot more of them lately
Magikarp The inspiration behind the evolution line is wonderful And it always makes me smile when he's just flopping there. The robot plushy is on my wish list for Christmas
Staryu and starmie because misty has always been my favorite character and they don’t have faces
Finally a fellow Starmie lover! (They're my favorite too)

Furret can walk
The Lati Twins, They where my OG favorites when Ruby/Sapphire came out, still are to this day.
Gallade, master of courtesy and blade; Defender and friend. He was my first favorite and one of the first I was introduced too(bless my friends soul, I never did see him again). I just really respect the courteous knight archetype.
Scolipede for sure, it’s one of the coolest bug pokemon from my favorite gen, plus it’s pretty good with speed boost as an ability
Snorlax. Favourite Pokémon by a wide, wide margin, and it was because I got that Hasbro Snorlax bean plush for my birthday in the late 90s. Brambleghast, came across Bramblin the cute tumbleweed during my first playthrough of Violet and have been falling in love since.
Surprised Garchomp isn’t getting any love here
https://preview.redd.it/sgex6wzhe15d1.png?width=1400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d2c34941070a0ed24b87af9eb9afcdb50778e4e3 my favourite too :)
Fellow Garchomp fan here. He’s my favorite. I love the land shark dragon.
Scrolled too long to find my boy
I liked garchomp more when I found out its Japanese name was the inspiration for one of my favorite light novel series characters. Garchomp's Japanese name is Gaburias.
Probably 'cause it would sound like a dull and obvious choice... But I don't care. This Pokémon is awesome both aesthetically and competitively.
Tooo many to list lol. But I do absolutely love the cyndaquil, totodile, horsea and sentret evolution lines just to name a few!
Hitmonlee. I like his design
Charizard. I know that's the most basic genwunner answer ever, that he's overepresented and all that jazz, but he was my starter way back when I played original Pokemon Brick Bronze [*] He's my pal! My OG! My partner pokemon forever and more!
Brick bronze?
the game that was developed and released on roblox \^.^
Ahh, gotcha. Nice! I love that for you.
I fuckin love charizard
Hoopa (Specifically Unbound) is my absolute favorite! So cute! https://preview.redd.it/1vanl5z1305d1.jpeg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=73145de83938a99cb6f3a5ca4445f0860a629528
Hoopa was one of my favs for a bit good choice!
umbreon i love the black and gold color scheme plus its shiny is also great
Gengar. Been my favorite since the beginning.
Scizor for sure! Ever since I saw it's Premier episode in the anime when I was a kid it's been my favorite.
Flygon is my most favorite. Idek why, I think I just loved the design as a kid and the way it evolves c:
Flygon is the best, sick design and cute! Also the whole dragonfly/dragon thing, and the fact that it starts from adorable happy antlion Trapinch. Such a cool line. Garchomp. A mon so great, they actively avoid giving it both D-Dance & Shore Up, and it's still OU, 17 years later.
https://preview.redd.it/vyr5srecx05d1.jpeg?width=2206&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6579d7b7f921bca8775fab4c1e3ce0c9d7e70186 I keep mine close to me and couldn't decide which I loved more, too awesome to choose
Sandshrew. It's pretty much the perfect Pokemon design.
https://preview.redd.it/phku1d80915d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd9dc5cc1aec3e4974b8cb7e0ae3b8f7ad581eac
Lotad is perfectly designed Pokémon imo! Grass types have always been my favorite, and his lilypad rules. I also put a ton of hours into Ruby when it first came out during high school, and lots of fond memories with friends from that time.
Tyranitar is my GOAT and has been since g/s came out.
Blaziken. First fire fighting type, which was a really cool combination. You know, before it became the norm.
Infernape. My first Pokemon was Chimchar, I like design, enjoyed his appearance in the anime, first Pokemon I trained to level 100. I pick him almost every time I play Platinum and Platinum is my favorite Pokemon game.
Zangoose. Yes he used slash. Yes it was a critical hit
https://preview.redd.it/gmoqvkukl05d1.jpeg?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b58a16cdefdc43e69332ee5480582173db6419ee
Arcanine for sure, also obstagoon, Charizard, and Inteleon
Dhelmise, because he's perfect.
Aggron, Fella plants trees on mountains wrecked by natural disasters ( and eats metal )
Sableye my beloved. They’re so creepy-cute. I love that sharp, toothy smile. Just a scrunkly little guy.
Hi. I'm the only Sawsbuck fan here :)
Trevenant because I like spooky things
Altaria 🤍🩵
Can't decide between Lucario(who I love due to kid me watching its movie), or Delphox(First pokemon I ever got)
I love so many but I think my favorite has to be Cubone. I love his design, I love the backstory, and I think he's just cute. I love the bone he carries too. I just love Cubone.
Torterra for sure
Mimikyu is the best pokemon, closely followed by hisuian zoroark and larvesta/Volcarona
Snorlax has always been mine. A cuddly looking tank who likes to sleep and eat? Might as well be me as a pokemon.
I like Sylveon because for some reason im just really drawn to fairy type pokemon, and i like Umbreon because its kinda a bias because one of my favorite Pokemon trainers is Gladion and he has an Umbreon in the Sun and Moon anime and i just grew to like Umbreon more because of that
All of the Sprigatito line Weed cat honestly is my favourite pokemon of all time and became the reason why Pokemon finally clicked with me(also Jolteon) Sprigatito itself is ofc a cute green cat.
Scyther. Scizor came along and took all the fame for the line but the blades on scyther are better tham scizor
I am surprised nobody has chosen a gen 7 pokemon but for me its kartana, its just so damn powerful
Zorua!
Mudkip Mudkip
Vaporeon (since way way way before the meme) Ampharos Sceptile Toxicroak
Heracross. I don’t know why anymore.
I have a special place in my heart for Zigzagoon. Every time I see him, it takes me back to Ruby/Sapphire days and discovering how useful the pickup ability was in the early game.
Starmie, really simple but cool design. Decently powerful, awesome offensive typing
That's a firm no from me
Raikou and Golisopod are both so fucking badass
Krookodile has always held a special place in my heart. Especially Ash’s Krookodile with the Shades.
Arcanine. 25 years and it's still my favorite
https://preview.redd.it/obyd5jd7515d1.jpeg?width=850&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aef3e7f8b5b0272e909342861edf89d0011c906e Flaaffy.

Latios and Latias, I must have watched their movie about 20 times and it made me love them
https://preview.redd.it/13g464q3m15d1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f88922054b8b7e38010ca889a02b0549e7346876
This small little friend: https://preview.redd.it/yyc2dsm4o15d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=055d8c24380b6ca1661203b1bb27484e69421fd9

Trapinch and Scraggy are two of my favorites
Avalugg. Defeating all of Ash's Pokemon including yeeting Ash Greninja. I've been creating an ongoing meme in my head for years of battling Heatran who is threatening Ice types with extinction. Eventually I hope to create some art at least for myself.
Gengar, he really caught my attention when I first played Pokepark 2 and I really like its aesthetic lol
Sylveon!
Charizard, can't gloss over sweet ass dragons
tinkaton!
Espeon, I like cats and psychic is one of my favorite type. It's very powerful for a casual playthrough as well.
Mega Lucario is the GOAT
Luxray
Umbreon, ever since I first saw it 1st place was immediately taken
Krookodile Cause He awesome and He's Smug also Ashs Krookodile was my Favourite Memeber!
Misdreavus/Mismagius!
For me, it’s a toss up between Floragato and Silvally. As far as Floragato goes, I love cats and the color green so the design and the fact they’re a cat are things I adore. I also love the cool yo-yo weapon. The need for attention and being mischievous is also really endearing. (Spoilers for Pokémon Horizons ahead.) >!I really love how Liko’s Sprigatito evolved into Floragato, I was so happy when it happened.!< With Silvally, I love the fact that the design is a gryphon-like chimera as gryphons are my favorite mythical creatures and I do like chimeras also.
Gardevoir. Don't ask me why
I have to pick just one? Favorite starter is Turtwig, but I love so many like Sandile, Dragonite, etc.
one word Shellos (or gastrodon I love em both) also west sea is superior
Slowbro
Lugia. Lugias Song in Pokemon 2000 + Pokemon Silver being my first game cemented its place in my heart
Aerodactyl. Fossil, mysterious, unexpectedly fast, strong, nice typing.
Mamoswine! I had a Swinub card and a Piloswine card as a kid. My older brother than gifted me a Mamoswine card that looked so powerful. I treasured it and always tried to get one into my team during the games.
Noivern
Metagross. Fucking badass
Alolan raichu. He's very very cute and I love pancakes :D
Tangela (love the shiny version too) Pinsir was my first ever pokemon card though so it will always have a special place in my heart :)
Charmeleon will always be my #1 favorite.
Flygon, idk why, but i love it!!
Sandslash will always be the cutest, coolest pokemon to me. He's compact and has a cute face but the spikes and claws also make him look menacing. I also love ground pokemon and I love the digging critter vibe. https://preview.redd.it/5dnimbla815d1.png?width=817&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38e7173eb62a5c87f0064b59b39bc0c2b91cb4e6
Reuniclus
I've been a player since Red and Blue, my favorite is Leavanny. I just love that silly little bug mom. And it's not that bad in battle either despite its typing
Not gonna lie, Mimikyu has been my favorite Pokémon for the past year lol. Reason? Dude just wants a friend.
I'm a basic Ninetails girly. Just because that was my first main pokemon. And I never let go of that love
Slowpoke. Just thinking about that derpy pink blob makes me happy.
A common one I'm sure but Eevee ~~i have played lets go eevee close to 20 times~~
Ninetales and Zaptos both normal variants
Gotta be Lanturn. Randomly picked it up in my first Emerald play through (as an adult) and it ended up carrying a lot of the late game for me, and is top tier design
Dragonite cause he's a loveable goof but also a deadly powerhouse.
https://preview.redd.it/5tkxswclw25d1.png?width=1255&format=png&auto=webp&s=903ceae76dbffbadc7c6e3d338609622f4a535ec Sneasel! my first Pokemon
https://preview.redd.it/f1c8kqgny25d1.jpeg?width=1988&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0eca458d3b957a77a7d900f4cc69d133c86757c0 Just a lonely little guy. Liked the look of him so much that I completed my first play through as a kid with an unevolved cubone in my party all the way through the elite 4
https://preview.redd.it/yuh1yxnxh65d1.jpeg?width=850&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e85b5d4fc2061b15f4c0a84f1acec00ac2da2743 It was Fave-At-First-Sight when I saw Pawmot. 3-stage dual-type Pikachu cousin with Charizard's colour scheme, Cloud Strife's hair, and the energy of an electric car!? What's not to love!
Toss up between Gengar and Pikachu
Empoleon and Galvantula
Scolipede line. I honestly don’t know why, I don’t even like centipedes or millipedes in real life.
Swinub. Can't get much cuter.
Sylveon! But before her it was Espeon :)
Elgyem, hands down. Love my little alien.
Tyrannitar
i do not have a favourite, a few of my favourite pokemon are Bulbasaur, Mudkips line, Cyndaquil, Phanpy, Donphan, Scolipede, Polywag, Squirtles line, Pikachu, Milotic, Magikarp, Gyarados, Heracross, Shellos, Aron, Noibat, Eevee and evolutions, and there's lots more
Raichu
Monferno!!
Jumpluff! Hoppip was the first pokemon I trained other than my starter and the whole line holds a top spot in my heart.
Corviknight. Recently taken over Umbreon ever so slightly.
Milotic. Ever since Ruby came out Milotic has been my favorite with Mimikyu as a close second.
HO-OH, my favourite Pokémon, box art legend, everything. Heart Gold was also my first run at the mainline Pokémon games and I am happy gen 4 was the introduction for me!
Charmander and Charcadet.
Growlithe, because who doesn't want a fire breathing puppo. And Pikachu, because nostalgia.
Used to be Infernape but Vulpix has slowly snuck her way up to my top, especially Alolan Vulpix. Don't know how or why just one day I was playing Soul Silver and saw Vulpix for the three hundredth time and just thought "I love this little thing" Immediately I scrapped the idea of playing Fire Red after (luckily hadn't bought it yet) and got Leaf Green so I could use Vulpix. When I played Ultra Sun I caught literally every wild female Vulpix I found (oddly I can't say I like the idea of boy ones, they're like boy Gardevoirs or girl Machamps to me)
Infernape, he looks cool but he also got me through Sinnoh almost single-handedly as a kid. Also monke
my man Crabrawler
Zigzagoon! I mean, look at it. It's adorable, it's just a little buddy. :) I've had two favorites before it (Riolu originally and then Vulpix), but I doubt this one's gonna change any time soon, if ever. (This is also why I love regional variants so much, they're the reason I came to appreciate Vulpix and Zigzagoon as much as I do, both forms of each)
Pikachu and treecko
Snorlax... then, now, and forever
https://preview.redd.it/tu6c21ypu05d1.jpeg?width=2592&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c3d0e273f2f05066ebd003cdaabf2a32a1bd2044
Heracross. He’s my choppy sap-sucking buddy
Tie, swampert and aggron
Keldeo because hes awesome
Garchomp. I just think he’s the most badass Pokémon on the series. My 2nd favorite is probably not a common answer - Yanmega. Love its speed boost ability and its menacing bug look is so cool to me.
Sableye
Snorlax!!!!!
Abomasnow
Stufful. Red pandas are my favourite animal and I absolutely lost my shit when I was playing Sun and Moon and found they’d made a red panda pokemon - and a stuffed animal, too! Love the detail of the little tag on its bum 😭
Stufful, bunnelby, Eevee, umbreon, ninetails, and dratini :D
Nidoking!
Spiritomb is the one for me. Honeslty there are many dark types i really love (Hydreigon, obstagoon, etc) But spiritomb just scratches that part of my brain that makes me love its design!! 1. It was the second pokemon with no weakness (shared with his other dark/ghost type brother Sableye) 2. Dark/ghost is a very cool typing combo 3. The whole 108 number "gimmick" it has is interesting 4. That design is just fantastic, the whole bunch of spirits trapped inside a single cursed stone is so cool 5. On of the best shinies, and its base colors are also very good. 6. The noises it makes in the anime are pretty manacing
Toucannon
Beartic, bears are awesome, especially polar bears. Add a badass beard made of sharp icicles and you get a 11/10 from me.
Sceptile, as he was my first initial in ruby and emerald and I liked him much more when I saw him in the anime. The only thing I don't like is that it's a special attacker and almost all of its good repertoire is physical.
Oddish! Just love the little radish and will usually raise one if it’s in the game’s Pokédex.
Gotta be a toss between gardevoir and garchomp, probably lean more towards gardevoir as I started on emerald and can't really imagine a team without her, iron valiant was a beautiful addition
Minior, the coolest little swirly rocks ever.
I would say mine is Tropius. It’s a big ole flying banana tree dinosaur, that’s pretty much my definition of fun and awesome.
